Mooooo! Mooooo! Mooooorning! http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-65.gif
I just finished working my arms with Tamilee and am now getting ready to meet Mom for lunch and a MUCH needed trip to the grocery store.
Cham and Mooch were napping when I started my arm workout, but as you can imagine, they were soon awake with all my moving around. In fact, during my warmup, Mooch suddenly woke up, looked at me with sleepy eyes and then ran directly up to me and sat down in front of me to watch me swing my arms left and right LOL.
And when I was doing bicep curls, Cham kept her eyes on the dumbbell : up two, down two, up two, down two. It was hilarious. I kept having to move slightly so as to have plenty of room for the weight to go down.
Okay, I'm late for my date! It's fish today! Woo hoo!
Smugs to you all!
DANA - I don't have PP but I'm wishing I had it right now for an alternative to BS, LOL. Were you able to squeeze in anything on our first day back on rotation? I started mine off pleasantly with an abs and a stretch and a fifteen minute speed-walk.
You know, didn't want to alarm the squirrels.
To answer your and Shelley's question, the little guys kept their distance and looked at me the whole time like WTH are you doing? After the initial newness of it wore off, then they would look straight at me and yawn, which totally cracked me up. But when I started waving the fitness ball around (for abs) they weren't pleased one bit.
Anyway, I hope you were able to fit in something, but take it a bit easy for Aunt Flo. She only likes to exercise when she's really in the mood, after all.
Hey, how's Ralphie doing?
JENNIFER - Yikes! Was anyone around when the porch overhang decided to make a run for it? It must have made quite a thud. You're rebuilding it yourself or someone is coming to do it?
What's this Michele mentioned about your father having had surgery? I send you and your family my very best wishes.....Oh, I'm just reading your second post. Wow, lots of stuff going on over there for your family. I'm glad to read that everyone is doing well, albeit having to adjust some things.
Are you walking at a particularly faster pace than usual to get good results walking?
MICHELEY BELLY - I'm so glad to hear that you didn't mildew over! Welcome back. Did DH have a great time?
The squirrels are being as silly as ever and turned 10 weeks yesterday. I think they look bigger. I guess they'd better look bigger LOL! And they're much better about understanding how much pounce they need to get up onto things. Ah, but with this new maturity, the games that used to completely get them freaked out about a week ago are so passe now LOL.
But when they're calm (about 2 minutes a day - just as they're getting sleepy LMAO), I'll pet and caress them and the loudest PURRRRRR will roll out and it turns me to jelly.
Then they move away to get some space LMAO.
SHELLEY - Urgh, the dreaded summer cold. What is up with that? How can those nasty bugs be flying around in the heat, anyway? Aren't they supposed to be hibernating and getting strong for the winter? I hope you feel all the way better very soon.
Yeah, that plastic bag over your head thing to regulate the breathing is new to me, too. I wasn't there, but apparently she started gasping for air and started to panic, so her friend went into action, grabbed a plastic bag and put it over her head. My work partner said it looked like something out of Twin Peaks LOL. The girl started breathing in the plastic bag and because this limited her supply of oxygen (she was taking in too much hyperventilating), her breathing started to get back to normal. My Gawd. She said until things had gotten back to normal, that when she took the plastic bag away, she'd start gasping again. Weird.
The squirrels obviously haven't been exposed to many workouts LOL. Yeah, they've been here two weeks, I know. But they're more open to new stuff now. I know I did a few weight workouts at the beginning, but they were tucked away under the bed or sleeping through most of those.
ROBIN - LOL at you! I read an article about the French diet which claims that wine doesn't stick if it's eaten with cheese. I sure hope you managed to get in some cheese. Or at least some cheesy dip.
JEN - Hey there, wow, the food thing is taking a long time. Do you often have this change in the summers? Do we need to start worrying? Don't make us start worrying. You know how irritating we can become LOL.
Have a great day, everybody!
