http://www.pic4ever.com/images/balloons.gif Morning!

Last night after I posted the link to my Golden Sundae, I washed up and then got into bed so here it is the next day!

For some reason I felt like doing Willpower & Grace this morning. It uses no equipment and you don't even need to wear shoes, and you know how I feel about that! http://bestsmileys.com/blushing/3.gif I hardly ever do that DVD because it's almost all squatting and is really tough, but I just really needed to do something different.

Then I immediately followed it with the same smoothie I always have. http://bestsmileys.com/blushing/7.gif

JENNIFER - I'll bet your yard is going to look so beautiful! That's so nice that it worked out like that with your friend needing to get rid of those two items and you wanting to take them.

>so, was it worth it? How much would it cost to make the sundae at home?

How much would it cost to make it at home? If I got the mango at the cheap market, I guess it would cost me a buck for the ice cream and maybe 5 bucks for a mango (yeah, that's at the cheap store -- fruit is expensive over here).

Was my $30 mango sundae worth it? Heck yeah! I'll be telling that story for years! LOL. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/4fvgdaq_th.gif

>His name is Troy.

Wow....Troy! I've never met anyone named Troy before. It sounds so... Movie-ish! We want the details! Muwahaha!

DANA -

>OMG, $30 for a sundae????? I'm speechless. I should move to Japan for weightloss.

LMAO!!

>As for the pm detox, if you are taking a laxative, wouldn't you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night????

No kidding! That's like one of the last kinds of drinks I would recommend as a bedtime snack LOL.

But really, wouldn't drinking that kind of thing every night put you in a state of dehydration?

A hot-air balloon ride! Did you once write that you were doing that? Or was that Robin? Anyway, wow, that will be really cool, no matter how high up you guys are going.

ROBIN -

>I have visions of smashing one through the drywall on the ceiling.

LMAO! That would truly be hysterical. I have a choice of either a 4kg kettlebell or an 8kg kettlebell, and the people who responded in my OD question are telling me to go for the 8kg one. That would surely make quite the hole in my ceiling (or floor) if I didn't do the exercises correctly.

I think you need to get the DVD though. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/14k8gag.gif

MICHELE - Oh you poor thing, I wish I could be there to help you out with all the things you're doing. It really sounds like you're in pain, and I know there are so many things going on over there that you need to take care of. If there IS something I or we could possibly do, please don't hesitate to ask.

>$30 for a sundae!!! That's outrageous!! OTOH, it is just play money, right?

You are so right! That's the great thing about foreign currency. It's like Monopoly money, even after all these years.

>I'm not sure I know what you mean about the kettlebell handles. I think the handles are square on all of them, aren't they? I was more concerned about the handles being smooth than I am about them being square -- LMAO!

Really? All the ones I saw looked round to me. Are they all square? When you lift the kettlebell up, doesn't the handle move around in your grip?

Well, anyway, those red ones are $100 (approximately 3 sundaes LOL), so if I were going to get those, I may as well get the ones I like from the States and have them sent.

And you're so sweet to offer to send a kettlebell to me. I'm still waiting for the store to call me back about whether or not they can find 5kg or 6kg ones. Did you see the responses I got to go for the 8kg? OMG. So now I'm thinking to go for the 8kg. I wonder if I can lift that above my head. Am I going to totally put myself into the hospital?

Speaking of that thread, did you see the great link Jess posted on how to choose the size of kettlebell?

I didn't see about not using gloves (not that I have any). I did notice that people were talking about using wrist guards, though. The ones I'd get here aren't covered in rubber. Ahhh, why is Japan so behind the times when it comes to kettlebells? LOL.

Okay. I'm off to do stuff (a.k.a. Work). http://www.pic4ever.com/images/reading.gif

Have a great day and chat with you laters! :*

Hello Haters,

Vacations GO way too fast.

Troy expected me to call him last night after I told him I would consider it. Considering and doing,IMO, are two different types of action. So, after some consideration, I chose not to call. Too soon, although it would've been "easier" on his end. The drama of internet dating, dating anyways..my cats and I are very content.

It might rain here tonight, fortunately, my unsocial neighbour felt like talking last night so I told her about the goat manure. She told me she didn't notice the organic cow manure on my lawn about one month ago from the odor. It'll be a quick plant tonight.

BBL, leaving here around 11amish.

Hiya!!

Okay, I've started this post about 10 times now -- no joke -- but I kept losing my internet connection! The problem appeared to be with our modem but they couldn't come out with a new one until next Tuesday, so I went to cable office to get one myself x( . Between being put on hold and then having my call transferred twice, and then having to run to their offices -- I've been dealing with this thing all.day.long! x(

AUGIE -- you're so sweet to me. I'm in some pain but I'm doing okay -- really I am. I know what makes it hurt and I just try to avoid those activities. Working out on Eli has proved to be very good for it so I won't be missing my CC workouts ;) . I've been using my Classical Stretch workouts, too, but I have to modify quite a bit. I'm starting some core strengthening exercises today. I'm holding off on the kettlebell stuff for now as that might be pushing it. :-(

By the way, that mango sundae looked delicious and made a beautiful presentation! I love mangos -- they're so refreshing. I'd've paid $30 in Monopoly money for that -- LMAO!!!

JENNIFER -- I think your life is way to exciting for me -- lol! have fun planting your wildflowers. You'll have to take a picture when they bloom and post it for us. :)

Hello to everyone else! I need to run. I've spent all day trying to get back online and now I need to tend to some other things. I'll BBL if I can. :*

Hello Haters.

Today, I got two huge sets of wildflowers for my hill and a huge box full of goat manure in exchange for 5 quarts of Ben & Jerry's on sale.
Now there is T-storm watch so I must plant afterwards. The flowers are set out to get rain but the manure is covered up.

Sunday, I meet with my friend Denise to determine what we should do for Labour Day. Kayaking is up on the list again.

Need to vaccum the trunk out, it smells like a meadow (which is good) but it looks like it too now.

Gee, Jennifer, that seems like pretty expensive poop! I have lots of friends with horse manure, but haven't figured out how to get it to my garden without involving my car.

Michele, I'm sorry about your pain. I hope it clears up soon. Have you had trouble with it before? How's DH holding up? Is he nervous about his procedure? Please, please, please let me know how it goes. I tried to call you the other evening, but no one answered. Unless you screen your calls}(

August, yes, the mango sundae sounds heavenly. But $30 does seem a tad outrageous. I may have to try to make the same thing at home. I went to an Asian market last weekend with my friend who had lived in Thailand. She showed my what she calls mangos - kind of small, oval and very yellow. The ones we get here come from South America and are larger and greenish red. Do you have the smaller ones?

Dana, how's it going? How was the fair? DD and DGS and going tonight. DH and I decided to skip it this year. I really have to lose some weight before we go to the beach in a couple weeks, so I've been trying to follow a diet closely.

I got an email from my friend who we will be visiting in NC. She and her DD are running in a 5K on the beach at Kitty Hawk and she wanted to know if we were interested. I'm not sure what day it is, but I told her if it is Sat, yes, I'll walk/run. If it is Sunday, we will be returning home. I'm not sure what I may have gotten myself into here. I haven't run since my surgery last Feb!
