Cathlete
Hello!

http://bestsmileys.com/sun/4.gif

Eeks, I forgot to make yesterday's post a weekend thread!

Last night's dinner with my bro and his wife and their puppy was lots of fun. We went to Homework's, which is a burger and sandwich joint -- and a place that allows doggies.

I had a soy burger and it was pretty good. I hadn't had a burger of any kind for sooooo long.

And Sesame was as cute as ever, and so excited to see me and Mom that she yelped and yelped and insisted on having my hand/wrist in her slobbermouth. She was very cute and it was really fun to hang out all together.

When I got home, I got the big smell fest.

It's totally scorching here today and I've got the air-con on. It's my day off so I'm going to get into my workroom early - the workroom without an air-con. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/indifferent/indifferent0003.gif

JENNIFER --

>My first alarm was Madrid (since he talks more), then Seville since he likes to jump on me in the morning, the third alarm was my clock.

Haha, oh, I see! I guess you can't complain to the makers of the first two alarms.

>Do you like Mexican ears? the dough with the cinammon on it?

Is that what they're called in your area? My goodness! In Oregon those things are called Elephant Ears!

Okay, I want to know what they're called from you other guys!

Whatever they are....they shouldn't be called Ears! Gross!

>The boys are currently hunting down an insect in this room, life is just so exciting. I turned on the a/c so they can catch up on playing/fighting and hunting.

So cute. I've actually got my window ajar on this hot day in hopes that some bug will come inside so that these 4 can play with it.

Geez, bringing home groceries before 8am IS pretty incredible. In fact, it's incredible that stores are open at that hour. Or are grocery stores open 24-hrs in the States?

DANA -- So you got trigger-happy and posted twice? LOL. Doesn't it just figure the one Rainbeau one you want is sold out? I wonder if the prices are reasonable because the session is only about 30 minutes?

So how is Gannon's leg? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he's all better!

MICHELE -- I'm glad to hear your Good Luck dinner went well. Oh man, I wouldn't have had anything to add to that dinner conversation LOL! No kidding your husband eats brains! LOL.

>I bet you would like the KB workouts!

Pfff! As if I haven't already looked at them! LOL.

Okay, I'm off!

Have a nice Sunday! :D

Hello Haters.

Saturday is over and now to begin Sunday. After I got my haircut, my friend showed up so we hung out together. We went to this outdoor sculpture park and seen pieces from Degas. It was really cool and really close to my home and never been.

Today is church, nursery, clean home, nap, then a "singles" dance tonight since my vaca starts on Monday.

Monday is yard work.

August-most of the grocery stores here are 24/7. And, the boys did wake me up early today.

Mornin'! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink059.gif

I have a big owie in my left lower back and hip. I have no clue what I did to it, but OMG it hurts! http://bestsmileys.com/handicap/4.gif

A little Classical Stretch might help. I wanted to try the kettlebell workout today but maybe I better hold off. I'll see how I feel later on. I previewed the workout and I think I'm going to like it. It's different, that's for sure. It has a great tutorial and that's what I was planning to do today before I start using the workout in earnest. Here's a clip if you're interested. http://www.beacon-fitness.com/Media.html

We're just having a quiet weekend. We went out to dinner last night and that's about all we did yesterday. We don't have any plans for today yet. My brother called and asked us to take him shopping but neither one of us feel up to that today. My DH suggested I go by myself during one day the week. http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/sigh.gif

AUGIE -- I posted a reply in your deodorant thread. I'm allergic to most deodorants so it's a huge issue for me ;-) .

How big is Sesame now? I assume he's full grown. You can't take dogs in many places around here. That's one of the things DH likes about Europe -- you can take a dog most anywhere. Our little dachshunds would NOT have been good in a restaurant. They would've been up on the tables eating everyone's food. ;-) :7

Doesn't you apartment have central air conditioning? Can you get a unit for your workroom? there are so many options available now. I'm thinking about this for my bedroom, which is where I keep Eli. It's hotter than blue blazes in there making it almost impossible to workout sometimes. Anyway, I'm investigating this option -- http://www.acdirect.com/ductless_cooling_heating_.php

JENNIFER -- The Degas exhibit sounds really neat! It's amazing what you can find in your own backyard. We recently found 2 museums in a nearby town that we never knew existed and they're fabulous! I just did a Google search for area museums, and I'm so glad I did or I never would've found those gems.

Hello to everyone else! DH is waiting for me so I better see whassup.

Take care and I'll BBL if I can. :* :* :*

ETA OMG DANA!!! I totally didn't see you post about Gannon's leg. How is he? I hope he's okay!:*

I'll be back for personals later but.....

Crap!

MICHELE!!!

You must tell me immediately which kettlebell you got. I want a red one ! I want a pretty red one! They don't have 10 lbs anymore! Is 12 lbs going to kill me?

I MUST GET THIS WORKOUT IMMEDIATELY LMAO!!!!!

I totally have it set up in my cart...now I just have to go set up my Paypal account LMAO.

BBL! I'm totally excited! :7

Morning haters!!!

August - that is pretty cool that you can take dogs into restaraunts. I haven't seen anywhere around here that allows that. One of the dads on Gabe's baseball team is orignally from CO and he said that it a very dog friendly state and lots of places allow pets. I hope it cools off for you. It isn't too hot here today. At least not yet.

Mexican Ears, Elephant Ears??? Around here it is just called "fried dough". And I've never tried it.

Jennifer - enjoy your day! Sounds like you have a full day planned.

Michele - I checked out the KB workouts a few months ago. We don't have a target near where I live and I don't know if Dick's carries them in the store. I know that they have them online though. I may order the workout - I have a couple x-tra $ if I want to get it.

Gannon's leg is fine. Thank God! You should've seen him limping around though. He made his entire leg stiff and was hobbling around and then when he would get near the recliner, he would run to it. I took the boys to the pool yesterday and he was running all over the place. DH hasn't been home since Thursday a.m. He left right after I left for work on Thurs to go racing in Pittsburgh. He should be home late tonight. At least the boys weren't too bad. We're going to go over to my mom's in a bit and I"m not sure what else we'll end up doing. Maybe we'll go to the movies. They want to see Wall-E.

Have a great rest of the weekend all! Talk to you tomorrow!

>Mexican Ears, Elephant Ears??? Around here it is just called "fried dough"

Dana, that made me laugh out loud!!! OMG!!!

I'm TOTALLY going to get that thing. I just transferred money into my Paypal account so now I've got to wait for 3-5 days. x(

But I'm ordering it the minute the moolah is available.

MICHELE, I TOLD YOU TO TELL ME IT'S BAD!!! Why'd you go and put the link?!

I'm totally psyched for this workout. And now I feel this awful urge to go into the search bin and dig out all the dang comments about kettles and workouts and arm guards and OH GAWD, I HAVE TO WORK!!!

Sorry, I'll leave my personals for tomorrow! :7 I'm just so excited to get that darn workout now. }(

LMAO!!! LMAO!!! LMAO!!!

I bought a 10# kettlebell at Target (it's an ugly yellow one) to use until I get used to the workout, and I ordered a 15# KB from the Beacon Fitness website to use later on. I haven't gotten it yet so I'm not sure what color it is. LMAO!!!

Dana, yeah, fried dough -- that's what I call it -- but lot's of people around here call them elephant ears. OMG they are to.die.for!! :9 :9 :9

And yes, Dick's carries kettlebells, the same brand they have at Target -- GoFit is the brand, I think. They're about the same price as the ones you find online. They are kind of expensive, but the workouts look like so much fun!

Hello Haters.

I thinking about getting a kettleball too but I'm with August, I want a pretty red one or a MSU green one. Is it for STS or some other workout?

Nursery was crazy today. Babies were VERY loud for good and bad things (talking or cyring). Later, I saw one of them at Panera just chowing down a bagel with her Mom. She must've been very hungry at church.

Now,time for my nap and then a party later.
