Helllllo!
A few days ago I happened to be in an area where there was a kitty shop so I got some presents for the squirrels. I brought the bag home and put it on the floor for an instant and went to the bathroom...when I came back, Mooch was in the bag http://bestsmileys.com/hyper/3.gif . I peeked in and his eyes were bulging and bugging out like he'd found the Golden Ticket. He was frozen with excitement and literally didn't know what to do - he just stood there with a crazy, hyper look on his face. It was pretty funny.
I'm working at my place today and brought up a lot of stuff from Mom's and did more cleaning...my apartment is pretty clean. Visitors are a good thing! Heh.
MICHELE - The dangling toy was a fur ball on a stretchy string. And the string was fairly thick. They'd played in it for about a week without any trouble (or at least none of that I know...scary). Mooch and Cham happened to be wrestling right by it and they always roll around. The ball must have wrapped around her ankle at that point.
I was shaking after Cham got loose. It totally freaked me out, so I can only imagine how it must have freaked her out. But she got in a good nap (so did I, LOL) and then I fed her some yummy food and gave her a nice rub and massage, and then we all played with the feathers again, so she was all happy and content.
> Did y'all do the bullet walk, or did you have to slow down for them -- lol!
Oh, I bullet walked, of course. I slow down for no one LOL! In fact, they even made a comment about it. They said that they got some great exercise, and it was a wonder how I could walk at such a fast pace and make it look effortless.
> Are you back in you own place now? If not, you should take your mom's kitties to your place so they can get used to it.
Yes, I agree. I did a major clean up in my apartment yesterday and got the place back to being KittyLand. I'm doing work at my place from today, so I have the clan upstairs with me. They look very cozy and enjoyed re-familiarizing themselves with the "new" old digs. We have three more days until Mom comes home, so I'm thinking we'll spend a good deal of it at my place.
Ooh, kitty bubbles with catnip? How cool is that! Man, whenever I can get to the States next time, I'm going to have a TON of kitty shopping. I better bring my big suitcase. Whenever that will be.
SHELLEY - Hey there! Poor Sophie. Urgh, barf. But it sounds like she got better and you guys were able to have some fun. BTS shopping! Sales! Clothing! Woo hoo! There are always such great clothing sales this time of year. I hope you found some cool stuff. Oh, yeah, and school supplies, too. ;-)
Oh, and yes, by the way, Chami is a girl.
DIANE - Oh, I hear you on the "free" toys. Cardboard boxes, toilet paper (wait, that ain't free LOL)...oh, they love to play with my hair LOL.
That baby monitor that senses movement sounds really nice. That's nice that you had another great baby shower.
ROBIN - LOL about poor Maggie! Thank goodness the handle broke! Good thing nobody stepped on her in a frantic rush to try to catch her!
JEN - That's good that you are getting your daily caloric intake, but do remember that it's good to eat actual food, and that telling us not to worry about you because you've added some packaged wraps to your diet is counterproductive!
On a lighter note, that skirt place sounds great. You've ordered them before? I took a look. They are very cute. Any shopping that saves me from actually going to the store is good shopping in my opinion.
DANA - How are things? How's Ralphie's leg? And hey, when did we say that we'll get back into a rotation again? When was that date set for? LOL. You choose a day. I'm ready and able to start up again. Whacha say?
Hugs out to Arista and everybody and I'll be checking in later! :* :* :*
