Morning Maniacs -

Well, as much as I ate yesterday, I should be doing cardio this morning, but I'm feeling like doing Amy's Dome Challenge Weights and maybe Tracey's Total Body (but not expecting much from that since it's so short). I wanted to add Tracey's total body segment from the Step workout, but my DVD won't work. I don't have that much time to work out anyway, as I'm going to the Black Friday Door Buster Sales to do the shopping for a few gifts still needed. I love being out in all of the excitement and crowds.

Have a great day and great workouts everyone. I might be back to report my workout......depends on how quickly I need to get out the door.

I ended up doing Tracey's Total Body Segment from the step DVD (banged my player around a bit and got it to work...but it was making a loud grinding noise) and then I did Amy's Dome Challenge followed by Tracey's Total Body from the Parts DVD. This workout felt like more of a core workout than anything! I thought the ab segment on the Tracey's step DVD was excellent and made up for the lack of abs on the Parts DVD. Workout was 1 hour and 20 minutes and I burned 426 calories.

Diane Sue - I've been meaning to tell you that I bought that Mineral Night Treatment - Nocturne from Aromaleigh and just started using it. I'll keep you posted. It has Vitamin C in it and other stuff. I've always wanted to try it but BE was so expensive. Also, what did you use in place of the Woody bag in Amy's Dome workout? I used my 8 pound med ball but wasn't sure it was enough.

Have great workouts ladies..........off to shop. Don't have too much money....so I won't be long.

Morning all ..
It is snowing . OMG. I can not believe it..

Diane Sue, i didn't do anything else but Amy's so i had no trouble.
(Green top back) when we are doing the leg in and outs with the band..Definitely needs a shock absorber..Diane Sue, i have a hard time keeping up with you. I am god for an hour most days. Sun , i like to give it my all.Longer and stronger..
Your workouts blow mine away..

I am going to do Amy's ubody tonite.. Really need change lately..Been in a blah mood. Makin excuses mood..

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I ate way too much and suffered for it this morning. Was going to do cardio but just did not have it in me. I'll do Press Play tomorrow to make up for it.

It's snowing here too! I love it!!!

Have a great day you all!

I slept in this morning. I did not get into bed till 12:30 though. Slept like a rock till 8 this morning. That hasn't happened in a long time. Maybe it was all the junk food LOL Today I plan on doing Kelly Coffey's Cardio Step Box and Absolute KB combat and abs. Tomorow I will get in more weights.

Lora, I thought that Tracey's total body was way to short. Yes, both that one and the step one seem to do more for core than anything else. I was thinking next time I want a total body workout with the Parts dvd I will try the Premix Bootcamp. It looks like it would be the way to go since it is an hr of the strength work.
I looked at the Nocturne and was wondering about it. Someone was saying that you can use it with Retin A Micro. That was my concern. I have oily sensitive skin though and a lot of things will make me get rashes and bumps. I can use the finishing spray every few days, but if I use it all the time I start getting a rash. Same with the primer:( I love the way they work and make my mineral make up look. So I save them for when I am going out. They should be mailing out those Holiday Kits next week if I remember right. I have the Naughty one coming along with a couple of other things.

Morning!

This morning I'm going to do CC#7. I didn't eat too badly yesterday, but did go heavier on the carbs, so I want to do cardio to burn it off (like I need an excuse to do cardio? :p ). Remember when I was addicted to #6 with Candace? Well...now it's #7. AND...I talked my sister into trying the first challenge. This is HUGE. My sister didn't really workout until recently. She did buy a road bike a couple of years ago, and was pretty faithful that summer but last year she was working 2 jobs and going to school and just didn't have it in her. In the last month, even though she's been working 10-12 hour days w/o a lunch (from home), she FINALLY decided to start getting up early, even though she is not a morning person, and running on the treadmill for 30 minutes 5 days a week. She's not at all overweight, but I worry about her heart health.

So CC#7 would be perfect b/c she can do the warm up and challenge #1 and then cool down and it would be about 30 minutes. She just got a new job working for the state for probation and parole - her dream job (she got the job out of NINETY applicants) - and she's almost finished with her degree so they said she can stay with them and move up. My dad has never really approved of her men choices, job choices or that she never finished her college degree (really pisses me off - how about just loving her for her?). And she can tell. Poor thing - she wants his approval more than anything. But we didn't grow up with him in our lives, didn't meet him until we were adults, so he really shouldn't say anything. I'm always defending her and pumping her up every chance I get. But bless her heart, she still calls him every couple of weeks. He's wanted her to get a state job with the benefits and retirement forever. ANYWAY, when we went to visit him recently, my DH took this picture and it's my favorite picture in the whole world b/c of how my dad is looking at my sister (I just love my sister! - not a fav of me, but who cares?)...

Suz - nice picture. Is your father still living? That's a very nice shot of him looking at your sister! You all look like family. Wish I had more family pic's. The last one I had taken with my Dad was in my cap and gown on high school graduation day and he was very ill and died the Fall after that picture. I have kept the picture with me throughout the years and always had it out on my dresser and visible...no matter where the heck I was living or what god forsaken predicament I'd gotten myself into and now the picture is cracking and is very old and tattered. I showed it to my Mom recently (after her accident when we were spending so much time together) and she was going to see if maybe she could get it restored somehow for me. Pictures are great.....especially when your loved one is no longer around.

Diane Sue - I did that Bootcamp Premix and the only problem I had with it is that she totally left chest out....but it was good for legs......that much I know.

All done with the shopping! The mall was crazy....but I have to go back cuz one shirt I bought is defective!! Darn.

Toasty - where are you??? Did you see my note last night about the massive updates at BPAL? Are you spending your Paypal account..........cuz I know mine is drained.....and then some!

That's a nice family picture Suz! :)

Yesterday was fun - alot of eating, and we saw people we havn't in a while.

Today is arms and shoulders.

Have a nice day everyone! :)

Debbie - That's right, tomorrow is Press Play Saturday, isn't it? :)

Diane Sue - Maybe you need a sugar overload to get a good night's sleep every now and then.

Lora - Yes, my dad is still alive. That picture was in October - you know how I go there to help him take care of his wife with Alzheimer's? Glad you got your shopping done. That's a bummer about the shirt. We just went to Walgreens. It was packed. The people working there were all so helpful today. Well, all but one when another one tried to ask her a question for us she got all snippy with her like she was so important. Oh brother! I hate when people act like that.

Penney - Thanks. Have a great workout!

DH is feeding my birdies red licorice. It's one of their favorite things. :)

I finished my workout. I am just getting around to eating and it is almost 4. Haven't felt very hungry:) I went out and sat in the hot tub after my workout.

Suz, nice family picture. You all look happy. Yes that's it I need sugar:p

Lora, I was looking at Tracey's premixes and I see that she omits the chest. I guess one could add on a few bench presses or just do the ones on strictly upper body. Looking at what I have down premix#3 upper and lower on the floor covers everything. Sorry you have to take something back already.

Suz, Ambers picture is so cute. I haven't even pulled out Christmas stuff yet:) Just finished using a zoom groom on my dogs and vacuuming. Why do danes shed so much? It is a constant job. I don't think my dogs would keep a costume on that long LOL

Suz - ahhh...yes, I remember now. The ol' memory isn't quite what it used to be.........thus the reason I always get so nervous in "new job territory". I just went to Walgreen's this morning to pick up my check. I hugged the manager and thanked her for the opportunity to work there and told her how helpful everyone one was and then I said that perhaps I could work some weekends here and there for extra money. Don't know where that came from!! Yikes......maybe not now....but in the future. I really did like helping the customers.....you know me and my beauty products. Too bad it wasn't the MAC counter though!! LOL. (doggie pic is too cute!! == wish I could post pics of my babies)

I ended up spending more money at Buckle! Bought a couple of those long cami tanks with lace on the bottom to layer under my tee's ...but I got $10 off using my Buckle card. I'm sooooooooooo broke now between BPAL and Christmas shopping.

I've decided I'm doing cardio tomorrow......no rest day cuz I ate too much the other day.

Just got home from dinner and we went to my Mom's, as my niece from Columbus is visiting, as well as my sister and husband and their 2 kids. It was a nice visit considering I'm not particularly close with my sisters. We are POLAR opposities.....she's a schmoozer and loves to entertain and is a real "Martha Stewart" type who doesn't exercise and is overweight and acts like an "old fart".......not trying to be mean.....just not anything like me. You wouldn't catch her in a pair of low cut jeans and high top Converses like me, nor would you catch her listening to rock. Funny how we get raised the same and end up so different!

Diane Sue - She wasn't very excited about it, as you can see. :) What's a zoom groom? Danes seem to have the same kind of hair as pit bulls, but a little bit softer (our good friends have a Dane). I would think that pit bulls shouldn't shed either since their hair is so short, but you should have seen that scarf after we were finished - covered with hair! Everything gets covered with hair all the time. Makes me crazy, and you're right, it's a constant job.

Suz, here is a link to a zoom groom. I read about them on a site for grooming Danes and read the reviews. I use it on one and the other is trying to get their chance at getting it used on them. Mudd whines to get rubbed down with that thing. I use it and lots of hair loosens up. Then I just clean up the hair mess after using it. It sure keeps it down on the furniture and floors if I do it enough. Looks like some sort of massager. They make them for cats and dogs.

Yes, I always thought short hair dogs would not shed as much. Then I read about dogs and shedding and it really has more to do with the layering of their coat. Mudd does not shed near like Puddle.
