Morning Maniacs -

Off to do my spinning. I won't have time for yoga today, as it's cleaning day and I like to start early. Be back in a bit.

I ended up doing Cy-yo Spinning - Fire workout. I repeated part of it to make it longer. Workout was 65" (without counting the 10 minutes of yoga at the beginning) and I burned 465 calories (turned my HR monitor on after the first 10 minutes of yoga).

By the time my foot heals, I'm going to forget all of my step coreography!! I've got to run..........must go clean the house soon...need to eat breakfast first.

Have great workouts.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I just did shoulders. I will do legs/back/abs today. I have to bathe 5 dogs and clean their bedding, clean house and wash car too.

This is what I did yesterday:

Front Lateral Raises with 10's 3 sets/8
Side Lateral Raises with 10's 3 sets/8
Arnold Presses with 20's

Good morning, today is All Pump Extreme 3 day split chest and shoulders, cardio, and str/yoga. This is a short weight segment so I may double up or add to it.

Lora, you have so many workouts I don't know how you remember all of the choreography LOL. I know what you mean though. I sometimes pull out one I have not done for a long time and find myself stumbling through it. Have fun cleaning:)

Charlotte, sounds like you have a full schedule. Good for you getting in those workouts anyway. Bathing 5 dogs sounds like a chore in itself. Mine are pretty good though. When I say bath they head for the shower. I think it is the cookies they get.lol

When the alarm clock went off I was so tempted to just stay in bed and not do my cardio tomorrow. But then I thought about how much I love my Friday's off from everything so I got my lazy butt up and did my cardio.

I chose Press Play from the Cardio Coach series and had an excellent workout. It's a bit more humid here this morning, I was sweating buckets.

Cardio stats:
3.8 miles
1 hr. 6 min. long
59 min. in zone
409 calories burned!!!!

This is why I love this workout, I burn a lot of calories when I do it!

Lora - You are right, I LOVE Papa Roach! There isn't a song I've listened to yet that I don't like! :)

Good morning maniacs

Feeling slightly sore here and there today. Can't decide which WO to do. I had to deviate from my rotation cuz I missed so many days when camping, so going to start over. Have to figure it out, what to do today. Felt good doing weight yesterday, but I may do just legs today.

Deb- I like Papa Roach too. They are pretty good! Nice WO.

Lora- That is a good cal burn too. I wish I had a bike to ride. Did you see that I answered your ? about the waitressing?

Char- have a good WO. I wouldn't want to bathe one dog let alone 5!

DS- have fun with your WO. That is cute about your dogs.

Well, got done cleaning and the Baking Company called for interview so I just got back from the interview. It was nerv-wracking. I guess I must have passed the tests?? They are interviewing all week. I felt bad cuz I asked what happened to the previous secretary (cuz I always like to see if they go thru tons of employees and she died from breast cancer).

Deb - I'm really liking the other older Papa Roach CD I got now .......it made GREAT cleaning music. I have their other older one coming from Amazon too. Glad you like it. Great workout. I thought that was a good calorie burner the other day also.

Meg - are you going to The Bad Boys of Rock tour? Papa Roach was excellent......the lead singer was really intense! I've can't stop listening to their CDs now.

I think if I don't get a job in a couple of weeks, I'm going to post flyers and try to clean houses to make some money. I wonder if I'd get business? or how much to charge per house.

I've got to go check on Mom. She still can't see.

Hi!

House cleaning for me today toox(

I'm doing Muscle endurance upper body split premix today.

Dog washing task belongs to hubby ;)

Good luck on the job hunt.

Have a great day

Hello Ladies!

This morning I got up at 4:20 and cut up a bunch of veggies b/c if I didn't they were going to go to waste. I brought them to work so I could have them for lunch (like a veggie salad) b/c it's our in-service day and they are providing a Mexican buffet. So just in case there isn't plain grilled chicken to throw in a tortilla with salsa, I will have a healthier option. Otherwise I'll have it this afternoon.

They had breakfast too and people were piling scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, muffins, danishes...you name it. I couldn't believe all the crap people put on their plates!!!! I just had some scrambled eggs and fruit. I couldn't help staring at people's plates. :p

Did Ryhthmic Step this morning. Haven't done that forever. Talk about forgetting!!! I was quite uncoordinated. :) My HR doesn't get very high with that workout at all. But I figured I needed a less intense cardio day. I'm riding hard tomorrow and Saturday. I'm doing abs, biceps, shoulders and back tonight.

Diane Sue - Never thought of cookies for dog washing. What a concept! Maybe Amber will actually LIKE it now! I'm gonna try it this weekend. She HATES baths.

Okay, off to get in the food line. It will be loooooooooong. :)

Suz - I attempted Rhythmic Step ONE TIME and that's all it took. I was expecting a Cathe intense step workout and all I got was dumbfounded!!! I haven't had any desire to pull it out again, although maybe I should some day. Speaking of food......I'm mad cuz I have to go to my husband's family this weekend for a family reunion type of picnic and they are the most unhealthy eaters.......and the idea of starving doesn't appeal to me either....especially since we have to stay ALL day when we go to his families!

Dallys - That is WAY too much work to do all that color and stuff! It took me forever. :p I need to start cooking some sweet potatoes in advance like you do. I love that idea. I even bought some and then forgot.

Lora - RS is so fun but I just really can't get my HR up. I could add more risers, but I worry about my hip if I do that. So I just use it if I want a light cardio day - which is almost never. :) Good luck at the DH's family. That's really tough. I do NOT envy you!

Lora I'll be right there with you this weekend. I have a summer family cookout Sunday but it's with my family not hubby's. My immediate family is merely slightly disfunctional :7 Whereas the extended family that will be there are from 'backwoods' N.C. I'm always tempted to count the number of fingers and toes :7

I'll probably just mix right in and partake of the hamburgers and wine }(

Lisa - my family is REALLY dysfunctional .....so much that we can't even get everyone together. I won't go into detail....but can you say Jerry Springer?? Although, when my DH and I just go to my Mom's (whom I'm very close with), she knows I like wheat bread, wheat pasta...etc., but she's always making baked goods!!! Now -- she DID raise me and is the reason I have my sweet tooth.......but she shouldn't tempt me so!! I was over the other day doing a project with her and she was baking cookies....so I had to have some!! I'm guilty. I hope his family at least makes that 4 bean salad.....so I can eat some protein with my white bread/cheese sandwhich rather than just eating 100% white carbs...........cuz there's never salad or anything other than meat, potatoes and fattening stuff like potato salad and desserts. The BIG question is ...does your dysfunctional family eat half way decent?

Lora,

Of course not...Southern cooking all the way. Ya know, macaroni pie, fried chicken, fried shrimp, the white bread you buy 2/$100, etc...

My sister is always asking if I'm having a carrot for dinner!
Whenever I don't answer my phone...her message is "are you exercising?"

I drink water and she drinks wine. My husband is younger; hers is much older. Her hair is gray and mine is brown (dyed of course).

Different as night and day; but we love each other dearly and she's awesome!

Lora and Lisa- I'm cracking up at reading about your family get-to-gethers (kinda just had one)! It's amazing any of us turn out "normal". I Especially liked the counting of the fingers and toes comment.

Suz-I'm eating a pre-cooked sweetpotato (I'm a genius!:p) as I type. I plan on having peaches and skim milk for desert. Peaches are excellent right now.:9

Well, this is late but I am back. Had lunch at 4 oclock. I ate some grapes before I went to the store and dropped stuff off and ate a lowfat graham cracker on the way out again to pick up the grandchildren. I had a protein shake this morning before my workout. Anyway my eating was not so good. I started my workout with iFIT Red Rock treadmill workout, it has sprints and hills with light weight upperbody work while doing the hills, went 3-1/4 miles, then I did Body Max 2 using the mix and match doing cardio #1 the chest, then cardio #2 & shoulders, then cardio#3, I then did Amy's All Pump Extreme 3 day split chest and shoulders skipping the abs and doing the stretch, I then did Amy's Abs and Stretch str#1.

Suz, I just put several cookies in my pocket and show them one and say bath and they tear through the house to get to the shower. LOL. Then I give them one when I get there and one when we are done. It is never an unpleasant experience. Just wish I could get Puddle to sit still for a nail trim. It is hard to hold down a 100# plus puppy.
