Cathlete
Morning Maniacs -

This morning I chose a recovery workout. I just ordered Candace Grasso's new Walk Fit CD's that I read about over at VF and they arrived yesterday, so I tried Walk Fit II. I was all set up to do it on the Treadmill and then she said it could be done on a Rebounder and I thought that was even a better idea since my joints have not been the best lately.

I did Walk Fit 2 and basically kept my knees high and my arms going and was surprised that I actually got a half decent workout. HR was 120 during rests and 140-150 during the intervals. I sprinted with fast feet the last minute of the last 4 minute interval and got my HR up to the high 150's. I did Gilad's Express workout stretch to finish and total workout was 50 minutes and I burned 427 calories.

I then did Gentle Vinyasa Flow yoga - 38" premix and it felt good. I finished off with Dr. Yoga House Call with Ravi & Ana - Anti-Arthritis segment and Immune Invigorator (since I'm fighting a cold).

Linda - I don't need as much sleep as most people. I usually am fine with 5.5 to 6 hours a night (which I never get except on the weekends). If I get over 6 hours a couple nights in a row, I'm up for 3 days straight and can't sleep. I have severe insomina....thus one of the reasons I sleep deprive myself......so I can fall asleep at night.

Have great workouts or rest days everyone. Off to do my normal Saturday routine.

Toasty - just checked my Sugar Moon, Mort de Cesear, Hanami order Click & Ship and my package arrived this morning ....so I should have it later this morning! I'll keep you posted. Re: chocolate....I didn't know you loved chocolate as much as me! Pretty sick that I had to burn calories this morning cuz it's TTOTM and I want to eat my chocolate marshmallow cup I have left from my Candy Store excursion a while back. I've been thinking about that hunk of sweet goodness for days now!! Why does chocolate taste even better when it's TTOTM??

Had a pretty good workout today. Have a headache but it didn't hinder my workout much. Just had some dizzy spells in between sets which was weird.

1:30 rest between each set

BACK
Weighted Chins:
12/8/8 - 5# vest
***My goal was 10 reps on the first set. I was happy that I reached 12.

CHEST
Incline Barbell Press:
95# - 12/12/9
***Very challenging for some reason. Last set was hard.

QUADS
Bulgarian Split Squats:
75# - 12/12/12
***These were easy today for some odd reason. I should have went to 80#.

TRICEPS
Close Grip Barbell Press:
85# - 12/12/12
***These were a challenge as well. I haven't done this exercise in a while.

SHOULDERS
Alternate Front Raises:
15's - 12/12/12
***Got a great burn with these.

QUADS
Wide Stance Squats:
59# - 15/15/15
***Used a 45# DB, 4# magnetic weights and my 10# weighted vest to get this number. Still way too light for me. I upped the reps but could have gone higher with those as well.

That is all...

Linda - I use three risers and the topper when I do BSS's. I can't go any higher because it hurts my low back.
