Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did a recovery workout. I did Xflowsion - Live in Hollywood (1 hour and 20 minutes) and then I did a little bit of Core Rhythms Merengiue Mania just to check it out and see what kind of workout it is. Total workout was 1 hour and 40 minutes and I burned 486 calories. Long....but easy. I did the martial arts segments of Xflowsion with my boot on and used the rebounder for the jumping and running segments. It's too hard to get a feel for the Core Rhythms workouts with my boot on. It's hard to Latin dance with a bum foot. I also did the 10 minute stretch segment with the band from Amy Bento's new 10 Minute Solutions workout.

I'm going to soak in the tub with my Lushie Banana bubble bar and then later we're going to see that movie Skinwalkers. Looks like a freaky deaky movie.

Have great workouts or rest days.

Is anyone here going to buy the new Cardio Coach Pump workout? I think there is a link that states if you contributed to the Just Press Play workout - he will send you the MP3 download for free. It's a weighted circuit workout featuring Coach Sean. I'm debating it.

Good Morning, today I am doing a circuit workout and yoga. Not sure which one though. I may add to it. Then I am off to do some grocery shopping.

Lora, I never bought push play yet. The pump workout sounds interesting though. I wonder if they will offer a printout of the exercises like itrain does. Do you like Amy's 10 minute solution? I am looking forward to getting her new workouts and Tracey's. I doubt I will order Amy's Step workout though. I haven't got the last one down yet.

Diane Sue - Where did everyone go from this thread??? Road Trip?
I'm not sure about 10 Min Solutions. I only previewed it. It actually looks like a good band workout and has some different moves. You could string all the segments together to make a 50 minutes workout....which is the way I'll do it, however, I must say that the 10 minute stretch with the band was pretty good and almost worth the purchase for me....since I love 10 minute stretches to do whenever. I love Amy and had to have it. I can't wait for her new stuff......and I'll probably get the Step one even though I still don't know the old one. I'm hoping she breaks it down a bit more this time. I just hope I have money to order Amy & Tracey's since I don't have any income any more until I get a job. Next week, I'm going to have to go try to find any old job.....but this week, the DH is on vacation, so he said I can have this week off too!

ETA: The cardio coach website has a listing of the exercises on Pump.

Forgot to post this this morning. Duh!!!

This morning was shoulders and abs and I had a great workout. I have another knot in my shoulder blade area that was really hurting last night. Had Gene rub it out and put Ben Gay on it. It was fine this morning so I worked out. It's a little tight now again, I hope it doesn't get worse.

Shoulders
Dumbbell Press (warmup):
15's - 12 reps
20's - 10 reps

Seated Dumbbell Press (working sets):
30's - 3 sets/6 reps
*** Did these seated and I liked it much better then standing. You can't cheat doing them seated. I thought I'd have to lower my weight but I was happy to see that I didn't. I have a feeling I'm going to be at 30's for a while, I seem to be stuck there right now.

Hammer Grip Front Raises:
17's - 3 sets/8 reps (up 2#)
*** Tried 17's last week and they were hard so I dropped back down to 15's. These felt really good this morning.

Lateral Raise:
22's - 3 sets/10 reps (same)
*** My shoulders really pop when I do this exercise!

Bent Over Lateral Raise:
22's - 3 sets/10 reps (up 2#)
*** Raised the weights on this one but dropped the reps to 10 (did 12 last week) plus I added an addtional set today.

Standing External Rotations:
12's - 2 sets/15 reps
*** Added these today, I like this exercise

Abs
Superset:
Decline situps - 10#
Woodchops - 15#
Hip Lifts - 6#
Did 25 reps for each and did all three without a break. Took a 1 minute break and did it again.

Hello Ladies!

I got up early this morning and cleaned bird cages. The Saturday cleaning takes me about an hour to an hour and a half to make them sparkle. And that's only for 3 birds! I like to get it done so it's not hanging over my head. I debated - work out or clean cages - work out or clean cages. Clean cages won this time. Then we met my sister for DONUTS!!! Tsk tsk. Then grocery shopping at Wal-Mart and we got these things to mount to the walls in our closet for my shoes. They've been all over the place and making me crazy forever. Now I'm SO happy! My closet looks beautiful now.

That started me of on a cleaning frenzy all over the house. Then we left again and met my sister for lunch. We just got back. We have to leave again shortly to sign up for the Ride for Sight. I'm bummed b/c we are supposed to have 10-15mph winds tomorrow. That will mean a sucky ride for me. I might just end up riding alone. The only good news is that it is supposed to be out of the south and we will be riding mostly east/west. The wind is usually out of the west, so I guess that's a blessing.

Lora - I'm glad you get to take the week off without worrying about looking for a job. That's nice. Dallys is away with her sister. Char might be working. Randi is on the RT. Meg and Anne are probably working too. Who did I miss?

Debbie - I love to look at your workouts just to see the weight you lift! Amazing woman!

Diane Sue - What workout did you decide on? I think I'm going to do PUB. I'm giving my legs the day off completely. It freaks me out to do no cardio though especially after Mac Grill last night and donuts this morning! But I don't want them to be tired at all for tomorrow.

Suz - thanks for the rundown on where everyone is. A week off is nice....but the without pay part sucks!! LOL. I'm taking Mom for cataract surgery tomorrow and then I'll probably have to go apply with a Temp Agency on Tuesday.....but I'd rather just get a job. Sounds like you had an interesting day. I really need to get my closet and makeup organized.....but it overwhelms me!! Donuts.........OMG!! I'm beginning to find out how the resistance and biking make your legs sore. Mine have been really sore lately. Speaking of biking, you have Red Zone then? or would you want the extra DVD when I get my replacement?

Lora - Yeah, the without pay part would be the sucky part. I hear that cataract surgery can do wonders. I hope it does for your mom. Maybe the temp agency deal will work into a permanent job somewhere. It's happened to me a few times in the past. I've put off organizing my closet for way too long. It was time! When I ride hills my legs will be sore for days. It's amazing b/c I always think that as long as I've been cycling and as much as I do it they shouldn't get sore. So I'm always pleasantly surprised when they do. Nope, we don't have Red Zone. I'd love it if it needs a home. :)

We went and signed up for the ride and picked up our packets. I'm kind of bummed b/c you have to make a decision at 10 miles as to whether or not you're doing more than 50 miles because at that point you have to do an additional 10 mile loop. I would have rather made that decision later in the ride depending on how the wind is doing. It would be nice to be able to add that loop at the end of the ride if you so choose - even though it's kind of a hilly loop (it's right by my house and one of the places I'll go to do a hill workout). Since it's supposed to be windy I guess I'll do 50. If it turns out to be gorgeous then maybe I'll add that loop at the end. I guess I can do that if I want to???

Hi, this is a late check in. I did Low Impact Circuit premix of cardio and lower (compound upper and lower) no stretch, then I did Amy Bento's Cardio Step and pump premix great nrg no warm up. I finished off with Eoin's PYFH yoga quickie. Went grocery shopping and have been trying to catch up around here.

Lora, that was nice of your dh to let you have a week off with him. I hope you find something soon. I know you have really been trying to find a job. I had really not spent to much time looking at Amy's 10 minute solution. The thing is if I really like something in a workout and I only use part of it I feel like my money was still well spent:) I was on Lush the other day. I have never purchased anything though because everytime I hit checkout and look at the item sizes and shipping I decide to wait. They sound nice but I was a little disappointed in the scents of Villainess. Don't want to waste my money on something I may find at a store minus shipping.

Suz, it is funny how when you clean up something it inspires to keep going LOL. I have a shoe rack and a built in shoe rack and still have a pile of flip flops and shoes. What is up with that? I only wear a few of them. I probably need to clean out the shoes.

Debbie, it really does make a difference on isolating the muscles seated over standing. No momentum:)
