Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Monday 3/24

Hey Crazies!

Did Supersets this morning and plan on my 90 min. mt. biking route in just a few. I'm sore from hiking yesterday. We hiked up to see the "delicate Arch" in Moab. It was absolutely gorgeous! If you ever go to the Arches National park in Utah, make sure you see it along with all the others!

Here's a link if you wanna see! http://utahpictures.com/DelicateArch1.php

Looks like everyone is doing some killer workouts as usual! I too, am coming off of a bad days eating. Hate that feeling. Back on track today though.

Later...bike screaming at me, it has no patience.}(

Hey Maniacs,

First I just want to say that I agree with Debbie, the fact that everyone feels terrible today, means your body is not use to that stuff and what an accomplishment that is. Now I am happy to say I have avoided the Easter candy! It's calling me, but I am not listening! The worse I did yesterday was a half a bagel at our church breakfast (it was the only that came close to something I could eat!) Sad part is I have not had any sugar for weeks, probably three now, no refined carbs, except the bagel and I can't get the scale to budge x( WTH?

Debbie - Thanks for the compliment. The 105# for chest press is a new PB for me. It was also funny that when I determining my weights this morning I found that about 12 weeks ago I was doing 60 for close grip presses! Now there is progress!

Teddygirl - Glad you like the name, I am a huge wolf fan. And no I don't mind if you call me that at all!

Sandy - The walking club sounds great! I wish I could find someone around here that was even half as interested in fitness as I am! But no such luck, which is why I come to talk to you fine ladies!

So far I'm doing good, went to Giant Eagle on my lunch and I passed up the sample cookies. I've taken all my vitamins, plenty of H20 I should feel like myself tomorrow.

Eatery:
M1: 2 shrimp and broccoli quiche w/grits (i make these with 5 egg white and 1 whole egg)
M2: apple w/string cheese
M3: 1 ½ c of turkey chilli w/5 whole wheat crackers
M4: whey protein w/ff soy milk
M5: not sure ??? but eating lite (turkey burger)or just may pass meal V up. I shall see :7

Look, I ate good yesterday, just too damn much good!!!!!!!! HOGVILLE USA is where I was at! I feel good today, just FAT!

I remember Giant Eagle..back in PA. All we have is Food Lion and Wal Mart here.

My EATS:

Meal 1: Cream of Wheat, yogurt
Meal 2: Protein Bar and nuts
Meal 3: Steak and broccoli
Meal 4: Protein Shake
Meal 5: Pork Roast (minus gravy) and green beans

I know I haven't ate enough today, but I have been so damn busy in the yard collecting rock, etc. so I can eventually plant some grass seed, but I have to fill in some holes too with dirt first. My passions get away with me and hard to pull me away to eat.

Hey again :)

Mtn. bike ride was killa! I had to cut out the last 2 hill climbs cuz I was dead tired! Ride ended up being 1 hr.10 min. 9 miles, avg speed 7.7 mph.(obviously, lots of hill climbs }() I'm sure doing Supersets earlier was what drained me. My legs and back are toastymosty! It's such a nice day out! Love Spring!

Diane Sue - What new DVDs do you have coming? Just curious.

Toasty - I'm sorry that I can't join in our the "weightlifting competition".........I'm left in the dust there. I have to be smart with my injury and limitations. I suppose I'll never be as buff as everyone else.....but I certainly don't want to be stupid and injury myself fiercely and not be able to lift at all. All of that being said, I still do things to aggravate my injury cuz I'm hard headed.....but hopefully I won't be so stupid that I'll do myself in!! I just got my Frederic oil from BPAL. Not sure I'm going to keep it. It's okay, but not fantastic. I haven't been too thrilled with a lot of her blends lately. I ordered some vanilla to wear to work (from Possets) since I can only wear very light oil there and it can't be anything deep or crazy smelling.

RE: the Jillian workout......one way it differents from her tough book circuits is that the books are done on the frontside/backside rotation that you do 4 times a week and the DVD seems to be total body circuits.

Just finished cardio off elliptical

Traveled 3.5 mi
Speeds 7-9 mph
Cals burned: 275
heart rate avg 144 at my 80% rate

Lora,

There is no competition of anything..never has been the way I see it. Just really trying to sum things up by saying how inspired I am by others. I guess so inspired that I would love to do what some others do and perhaps some would love to do what I do. We motivate and inspire each other, that's all. I don't think anyone is really serious about "competing" with anyone here, nor should they be. And you should be so proud of what you do yourself. Your amazing and you kick some butt, especially with all the neat workouts you do..kettle bells and you burn tons of cals. I know a woman that deadlifts over 200 pounds. Do you think I am gonna deadlift that much? At this point...No, I know my limit and know how much my back can take so unless something changes and I gain extraodinary strength thru the week..I am sticking with what I know I can do, for now. Everyone is so inspiring here. We each are in so many different ways..not just what we can do, but who we are too.

Anyhoo, I have been disappointed with the love potion stuff. Too light in scents, but I have found some I really do like so it wasn't all that bad. I don't think the people are as friendly on the forums though.

Teddy, I do a little heavier than Amy on some of those moves but most I keep the same. Normally I can go heavier but I know if I feel discomfort it is time to adjust it or lighten up. I have got great results with that series though as far as leg developement. I think it is the change in the moves. I eat junk during all of the holidays then pay for it. I know I will continue to do it too LOL

Dallys, that is so nice you have all of the great sites to see when out on your bike. I bet it is beautiful.

Lora, I have Amy's Hi/Lo knockout, In the Ring, and Tracey's new Core one, Circuit Zone, and Strike Zone coming. I have my eye on the CIA one with Sharon Twombly. Did you get that one?? I am curious how it is. I really do like All Body Cardio and All Body Attack.
