Morning Maniacs -

This morning I'm scheduled to do Bi's & Tri's with Bootcamp........I've been stalling, as I'm a bit frightened!! Not really feeling very hardcore lately! Be back later. I slept too long........again!!
 
This morning I started my workout with Kelly Coffey's new Kickbox Step workout. I repeated the floor Kickbox 9min and used 3# dumbbells for the core work. This was a fun workout. It is going to be a new favorite:D I am taking my granddaughters to school and will come back and do some more ab work and a stretch tape.

Wow ....what a surprise. Bootcamp ended up being my favorite new Cathe so far. I really liked the Bi's & Tri's workout too...but I'm not sure I'm doing the hanging bicep curls correctly. This had great variety and was fun....although I modified some of the impact on the Rebounder, as I'm trying to ease into the impact on my foot since it swelled yesterday. Workout was 65" (give or take a few minutes cuz I was doing laundry in between....but running up and down the stairs counts, right??). I burned 515 calories. I matched Cathe in weight for triceps.....but my biceps are not nearly as strong as hers......so I didn't with that. My injury causes me to have decreased biceps strength also.

I also did Progressive Pilates Abs and Thighs 20" and then finished off with Perfect in 10 Yoga - Relase and Let Go 15".

Diane Sue - you've been working out extremely early lately!!! What time do you get up? I slept 'till 3:45 today......so I think you're catching up with me. You didn't have any trouble learning those combos for the first time in Stepboxing? I agree, will be a new fave of mine also!! Did you trip over your step at all like me??

Have great workouts everyone. I'm eating my Kashi 7-whole grain pilaf and yogurt and then I have to get bottles ready to make samples up.
 
I had a protein smoothie after my cardio. I came home and am eating some strawberries, almonds, and plain yogurt w/ some vanilla and a cup of white tea w/ pear. Then I will go back and get some more abs and some stretching in.

Lora, I am getting up around 4:45. I try to have everything set up for my planned workout so I can get an early start:) It took a little bit to get those combos. I think it will come quickly though and with the music and the workout I will be having a lot of fun with it. Yes, I tripped on the step a couple of times LOL I kind of wish I would have got her other new workout too. I will probably purchase it soon though:)

Diane Sue - I will let you know about the other workout, as I plan on doing it this week. I need to start getting up earlier .....can't have anyone catch up with me!! Kelly is sort of a spaz.......tripping over the step with her is inevitable....and she does bouncy step!! Just like me!!
I'm glad to see you started eating yogurt. It is really good for your intestinal tract......actually your body needs it....according to doctor's and documented studies. The live bacteria somehow does something to the bacteria in your intestines.

Deb, Dallys, Meg, & Toasty (and any other rock ladies I forgot) - have you guys heard the song by Velvet Revolver "Demons, Pills, etc." yet? They stated playing it on the digital rock station (which uusally has the newest singles early). I have the CD and really like it.....but I just love this song.........sort of a good reminder to me of not going back to my past.....and he refers to "pulling the trigger" if you do!!...so to speak. Excellent song. Actually the CD gets better the more you listen to it and there's even a slow song at the end of the CD comparable to the last CD's notorious Fallen Down or whatever that one hit song was called.

The Saliva & POM concert is tomorrow night!
 
Lora, when I eat yogurt my preference is plain or vanilla. I used to make it when my children were growing up. Kind of a lot of work keeping the cultures going though. I think I need something for my digestion. Although I am somewhat lactose intolerant, I can usually handle yogurt and cheese. I think all of the whey protein I have been using lately is upsetting things though. My stomach was making all kinds of noises yesterday. The dogs kept jumping up and looking at me funny LOL (maybe that is TMI) I tried some of the yogurt with the probiotics in it but don't like all of the additives they want to stick in these and the flavors. Yew.

OMG did I have an excellent workout this morning. I am flying here. I worked Back and Bi's and this is what I did:

[font color=blue]***HOLY CRAP! I finally passed 8 reps on the wide grips. I was so excited!!![/font]

One Arm Rows Palms Back:
30's - 11
35's - 8/8
[font color=blue]***Got this exercise from Cathe's new workout. I liked the way they felt.[/font]

Incline Pullover:
40's - 12
45's - 10/10
[font color=blue]***Got this from Cathe's new workout as well. I liked it but I have done these before.[/font]

[font size=4]Biceps[/font][/size]
1:30 min. rest between each set

Barbell Preacher Curls:
55# - 10
60# - 6/6
[font color=blue]***These felt great but were hard. Got a great pump with them.[/font]

Hammer Curls w/ Twist:
20's -1 0/10/10
[font color=blue]***These also felt great. My arms were REALLY pumped afterwards.[/font]

Reverse Dumbbell Curls:
15's - 8/10/10
[font color=blue]***Not sure why I only got 8 reps out with the first set. They were hard. Second and third didn't feel as hard.[/font]

Good Morning
Last night i did double cardio premix from HIS & LIS when i got to HIS I gave up on the hitch kick on the step I couldnt get it down and i was soo tired so i stopped. I must be coming down with somthing again I'm really lacking energy:( Cant figure out what to do this morning maybe B&G Leg blast premix and cardio see if i have energy.

Bi's/Tri's/Shoulders for 10/26/07

Strive Shoulder Press: 2x12x50, 12x45
Went up 5 lbs for first 2 sets, went back down on the last one

Trotter 1-arm Shoulder Press: 2x12x30
Stable from last week

Seated Side Raises: 8x10; 7x8, 3 sets
I dropped in these and went 3 full 15-rep sets. Man, this exercise is humbling!

BB Upright Row:3x12x30
My shoulders were TOAST after this!

BB Curl: 3x12x30
For the last set, I reached for the 40, went one rep and said no way. I did not eat this morning before hitting the gym (it was a rushy morning) and it really showed in my performance. Oy! From now on, always eat before weights Penney!

Superset:
Preachers 3x12x45
Tricep Pushdown: 3x12x120
Still struggled a little on the preachers (but getting stronger), totally rocked the pushdowns.

I did not have time for cadio this morning, so 30 minutes of cardio awaits me this afternoon.

There's not much change, lol! When I got sick off of that chicken 4 weeks ago, then got the flu shortly afterwards. I had to eat alot of soft foods, which really derailed me! :eek: I went up to 195 at one point. Hopefully everything from now on, 'till I reach my goal, is downward! ;)
 
Ended up doing core work from kick box 4ds then Leg blast from B&G. Have to go grocery shopping now:)

Great workouts and eats everyone.
I'm guilty cuz I ate candy and chocolate. I have asked my DH numerous times to please not eat chocolate and dilly bars in front of me after dinner over my Mom's...but he will not support me and after sitting there watching him eat those things, I ended up eating some fun sized Milky Ways and a couple caramel creams and a tootsie roll. I'm so mad at myself. I wanted to take a rest day tomorrow and now I feel like I must burn those calories off................why oh why is it so difficult for me to turn down sweets. I hate myself!!!!
 
I finished my workout with 4 day split core work and Stretch Max #1. I wore my shoe weights this time throughout the core work and I held a 15# dumbbell when Cathe held 10# I also added extra weight on some segments to increase the intensity.

Penney, you are doing great. With the workouts that you are doing and diet I am sure you will get a huge turn around. Great job with the weight loss. I am sure you are packing on some muscle too:)
