Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Willpower & Grace (Dallas are you out there?). This is a 70 minute workout described as Pilates Bootcamp. The warmup and aerobic segment equal about 30 min, but I wanted more aerobics so I stopped at the end of the aerobic segment and did the aerobic segment of YBB Hip Hop Abs (love that one) and then continued on with Willpower & Grace. I also did Duncan Wong's 30 min. Enlightening Level Yoga/Gung Fu blend prana type yoga. It was nowhere near as intense as the advanced level (this was the beginning level).

This was a tough workout and the aerobic segment pretty much consists of plyometrics, squats and lunges done aerobically. So many lunges that I actually got a twinge in my knee at one point and that rarely happens to me. The warm/up and cool down are yoga based stretches with some dance-like stretches. It ends with 25 minutes of core work.

I don't really know if I like this workout. I think I'm just sort of picky when it comes to people separating yoga from being done it's traditional way. I never seem to enjoy it much that way. Every workout I've tried so far that tries to incorporate yoga and cardio has not clicked with me. I'll have to do it a few more times before I make a final decision.

My legs were quivering at the end of the aerobic segment, so I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow. The core work was a LOT of back work and the ab parts were more of an isometric slow moving type. VEry different than what I'm used to.

Sorry Dallas if you wanted to hear a better review on this....but I'm just being honest and like I said, it just might be my personal taste.

Now I REALLY miss my traditional yoga this week. I didn't really do any on Wednesday, yesterday or today!! Oh no!! How will I make it thru the week?

I've decided not to start my Cathe rotation yet, as I want to do my Jari Love "Ripped to the Core" that just came a few days ago this week , as well as some yoga, Bosu and I want to do that CIA Full Body Cardio 70 min' tough workout with Sharon Twombly one day this week.

Speaking of all of the yoga I've been doing......Twice this week, my DH asked me if I was sure I'm gaining weight cuz my legs and butt look smaller. I think the yoga has been doing it to my legs and butt....but most of my recent weight problems seem to be in my lower abs.....and that's why I'm on a PIlates mission.

Have great workouts or rest days everyone. We're going to see the Break Up. I'm looking forward to it, as I love Vince Vaughn.

Charlotte - have you done your Animal Arm workout yet? How was it? I'm thinking about getting it, but would like to hear what you have to say first.

Debbie - Yes, I got them. I only glanced at them. I'm really only interested in the Circuit one or Get Ready for Summer one right now. I think I may do the Circuit one here soon. The Get REady for Summer may take a bit of coaxing....as I don't really like to have to figure out how long each workout totals when parts of DVDs are combined. It's too much figuring for me right now........I'll have to look at it when I have more time. I definitely like the Circuit one, but I'm still having this huge dread factor with sticking to a rotation right now, especially a Cathe one because of dragging out all of my equipment daily (which adds on 15 minutes to each workout). LOL!!....maybe that's what I really need is some structure.....as I'm like an ADD girl. I still want to play with some of my Bosu stuff I haven't tried and the other stuff I mentioned above. I'll eventually get back to Cathe. I think I'm secretly thinking I'm not going to do CAthe workouts until she comes out with her new ones. It's like I'm on a Cathe strike or something. I'm weird!! and you ladies know how I love my NEW workouts!! It gives me something to look forward to.

I forgot to tell you ladies about my recent eye problems. I've got scarring on my cornea's and my eye doc wants me to see a Retinal Specialist because I keep having problems with my one eye having a scab/sore on it that won't go away unless I use drops constantly (prescription antiinlammatory drops). Geez....it's this how it is getting old?

This morning I worked my Bi's & Tri's. I started with Pyramid Triceps using 5/10/12's for kickbacks and 15/20/25 for overhead presses. I followed this up with some freestyle exercises. I did lying extensions with a 35 lbs. barbell and then went into a pullover-tricep press. Its weird, its like three exercises put together. Its actually called "Skull-Crusher/Close-Grip Bench Pres Combo. I did 3 sets of 8 reps. Not sure I liked it, I didn't feel it much in my tri's. Then I did another pyramid set of lying extensions using 8/10/12's and then finished off with dips.

For Bi's I did Pyramid using 10/12/15's, man this killed today. It was all I could do to get through it. Then I did seated Alternating Dumbbell Curls w/a twist at the top of each rep using 15's. I did 3 sets of 16 reps. Then I did those Reverse Curls I did the other day using 25 lbs., did 3 sets of 10 reps.

Followed all this up with abs from Muscle Max. Had a great workout!

Lora - Cathe strike! Thats funny! Sorry to hear about your eyes. I have a lot of eye problems as well. It kind of scares me because I have no clue what I'm in for as I age.

Hope you all have great workouts as well!

Good afternoon,
We came back from camping yesterday. I had a very bad migraine and was not feeling well. It is much better today. I got up and did Turbo Jam Cardio Party 2, and ab jam, Yoga Booty Ballet Caberet, and the first 11 minutes of Shatki Lunar Flow. I really hadn't planned on working out since I thought I would be gone.

Marietta, way to go!! You reached your goal.

Suz, the barbeque sauce and the salsa mixed with the light or fat free ranch is what I use as salad dressing on my salads. Sometimes I will grill some thin steaks on my foreman grill and chop it up on the salad w/ ff free cheddar, tomatoes, onions, and some spinach leaves and greens then add the ranch & low carb bbq sauce. It is really good. I just vary the toppings like eggs, or pork tenderloin, even ground beef with the salsa & ranch.

Terri, you can find the advanced rip you up TJ rotation at beachbody.com on the forums at the top of the Turbo Jam one.

Lora, I posted about what I eat on Wednesday the 6th.

Hi to everyone,

Geez....everyone must be busy having fun today. It's cold and rainy here...so not much to do. We went to the movie (The Break Up)and I thought it was hilarious. I laughed a lot. I love Vince Vaughn. I think the ending stunk though. I dont' want to give it away...but I would have ended it differently!!

Diana Sue - I am the Salad Queen also. I love salads. I just had a really good one the other day with pecans, mandarian oranges and cranberries with balsamic vinagarette. That's one food I never get sick of.

Hello Ladies!

Diane Sue - thanks for the update on the food. That sounds REALLY yummy. I'm gonna try it!

You all still motivate me every day with all of your tough workouts. Thank you! :)

Suz
