Thought I would get this started. I cannot believe it is almost October especially since it was in the 90's here yesterday. Today starts month 2 of p90x. I am ready to get back to some weight work. I need to add a run after, but I'll see. I am very sore in my inner thighs from the AOS KB workout Saturday. I am gonna add that in to my workout, I really like KB moves. I tried a new brand of hummus and decided that I like it. The first time I tried it, I found it to be disgusting, but I tried again and it's good. Does it count as a carb or protein or both? I'm also really into taking plain greek yogurt (voskos brand has 24 grams of protein in an 8 oz container and only 140 calories !!!), adding a little ranch mix and eating veggies with it. I'll post my stats tomorrow as I don't workout until evening.

Ugh! I think I am getting sick AGAIN! I have a slight cough and a scratchy throat.:(:(:( I only have 2 weeks left of STS and I cannot get sick!:confused: Also DS birthday is this weekend and his party is on Friday night. I do not have time to be sick!!!!

Okay, whining over. Today was Meso 3 Disc 31 Chest & Shoulders upping the weight to 90% and dropping the reps to 6. Workout was 1:07 and I burned 453 calories.

Morning maniacs-

Just got done working out. I did ATRM with Grace Lazenby. I did Tight Tush and Arms & Abs. Workout was 70" and I burned 417 calories. I also did Rodney Yee's Twist Segment from The Daily Yoga DVD.

My back has been killing me. I felt a bit guilty doing this easy of a workout, but I'm trying to do some different stuff and try to relieve some of my back pain somehow. I probably should have chose another day to do an easier workout, as I work open to close most of the rest of the week and it will be hard to get workouts in....and I hope I don't miss one. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning and I don't work until later. It is cold and rainy here and a great day for lounging in bed. :)

Laura - sorry to hear about your job. I had to take a job in retail because I am a medical secretary that keep losing my jobs due to downsizing. I've been working in the fragrance dept of a large department store for a year now. I work a lot of open to closes (10 hours plus a day) and you are not allowed to sit down....so it's really different from the desk job I'm used to. I hope you can find something soon in your field and don't have to resort to a retail job like me. Good luck with your search. I will keep you in my prayers and welcome to our check in.
 
I have my dental appointment and errands to run before I go to the dentist.
I started my workout with 1 mile on the treadmill then did STS meso 2 disc 16 chest, shoulders, and triceps, I then did 1 more mile on the treadmill, then 2 sets of 10 barbell rollouts on my toes with a 35# bar and Kelly's 30 minutes to fitness muscle definition abs, I finished with Flexible Warrior Athletic Yoga 3.0 Energy and Swim segments. (the swim segment has some good shoulder stretches like the eagle arms) I don't know why but my worksheet I printed was missing some of the shoulder work so I had to write stuff down and come back and print a new worksheet

I burned 383 calories doin disc 13. Total calories burned today was 787 50% fat.

Thanks for the kind words. Jobs are hard to come by at the moment. Hopefully something will come up soon. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Linda. I hate that scratchy throat feeling before getting a cold. Hopefully you'll feel better soon. Take some vitamin C or even better eat loads of kiwi or oranges.

Today was a kettlebell workout. It was a paper one I purchased part of the kettlebelle body program off the web . Consisted of squats and rows etc. Felt bushed after. I had the new Yoga for Athletes dvd come today from totalfitness. It looks a good one so I might do that later or Mimi Solaires Stretch Workout. Eats have been okay today. Although I had a protein meal replacement bar for lunch as I couldn't get a sandwich. I've just had a tuna salad and an orange for tea. Hopefully we should have nice evening even though its a bit overcast here in the Midlands today. But it always rains in the UK anyway lol.

I thought that I would go ahead and post my STS weights before I leave. Today is usually shopping and cleaning but other than bathing the dog and cleaning the master bath I doubt I will accomplish much in the cleaning department today.

Laura, your question about which Athletic Warrior Yoga workout I had got me to thinking and I pulled it out this morning. I forgot about how good some of the stretches were in this one:) Thanks. The set is not fancy and the music is nothing special but this does give a nice stretch. I have a free audio download for a kettlebell workout that I haven't tried yet. I will have to see if I can get a link for it to post when I pick up my laptop from the shop.
 
Deb - they just announced on a local rock station that Papa Roach is coming to the Wedge in Austintown on November 7th?? It's a Saturday. Do you ever come to Youngstown any more? It's a small club...so it will be an "IN YOUR FACE" rock show. Just my style! Love me some Papa Roach. I'm gonna download the new Three Days Grace later. I'll keep you posted.
