I truly am scared but I think I am going to cut sugar out! I have read so many things that say how much energy you will have if you cut it out and trust me I could use more energy. I will take it one day at a time and not think of the big picture because it is too overwhelming! If I can just think about today I might make it:) I am posting so that I can make that commitment out loud. I am afraid of the detox part but hopefully it will not last long. Thanks for listening:)

You can do it!! I did this in a way a couple yrs ago when I did Phase I of the South Beach Diet. It was hard the first couple days, but it does get easier!! Now I still try to stay away from sugar & white flour. Will you still eat fruit & other natural sugars?? Good luck!

Well, my dh won't eat ANYTHING sugar- free so he still eats it but in moderation. I don't bake goodies very much anymore so that has helped! ;-)

I try to make sure my kids are eating healthy & making good choices (fruit or yogurt instead of a sugary treat, etc). They are used to healthier cereals & I'll sprinkle their oatmeal w/ brown sugar or honey.

It's not so bad once you get used to it. I know that some people are opposed to artificial sweeteners, but I do buy the yogurt made w/ splenda & drink an occasional Diet Coke, etc. I do try to limit it though, I figure I've got to have *some* vice after giving up white flour & sugar!! :p
