Getting Back in the Game - Monday, 3/2

Good morning everybody!!!

I'm slurping java and getting ready to get my game face on!

Today's workout will consist of 1RMs for chest, shoulders, and biceps. I HOPE I'll be done by Wednesday, but I might need to drag it out until Friday -- we'll see -- I have 23 left to do.

So what's everybody else up to today!?

Jodi - I'm saying a prayer and crossing my fingers that your knee holds up under the burden of your workouts.
 
I did not workout this weekend and did not workout this morning. Not really "geting back in the game" quite yet. Still trying to figure out a good time to fit in a workout. My plan is to go for a jog with the stroller after I get home if it is not too cold outside.

I will have to figure out all the new lingo for the new workouts (I am assuming that is what y'all are referring to). I have bought a Cathe dvd since she came out with Body Max 2 and Drill Max and all that stuff. I don't have 4 Day Split or the new workouts.

I'll pray for warm weather for your jog this afternoon. It's so hard to start up again after a long break from exercise. UGH! Just go easy on yourself and take it one day at a time.
 
Good Morning Michele and Diane and everyone to follow!

Got up and did my workout -- with me if I don't get it done before 7am it doesn't get done :p I did 4DS Back, Chest, Shoulders and some abs.

My girls are having a sewing class with Grandma today and I will go grocery shopping. I am hoping to not buy to much stuff :eek: When I go w/out the girls I have so much more time to browse and end up with lots more.

I have to tell you ladies what happened Sunday morning. My DDs (5 & 7) got up about 7am and my DH was wanting to go for a run. So the three of them were up, dressed and out of the house by 7:30 am running and bike riding (the girls) and I was still in bed! They went about 4 1/2 miles :eek: I was lazy, but they were awesome!:D:D

I better get moving, but will check back with you later if I can!

Hi Mary! Nice to meet you. Wow, your family was ambitious for a Sunday morning. You must live somewhere nice and warm for your kiddos to be out and about so early. I live in PA and it was freezing yesterday a.m.

I started STS 3 weeks ago and I"m already one week behind. I don't know how that happened. Tonight's workout is Disk #6 (I think), lower body.

Michele - I finally got my elliptical down the basement. It was upstairs since I bought it 5 years ago. Mark and I carried it down ourselves and it wasn't heavy at all. Had I known that the 2 of us could easily move it, we would have taken it down years ago.

DANA!!!! I'm so happy you're joining us!!! I'm not surprised that you're behind on STS. I don't know how anyone with kids and a job have time to workout. I can't find the time and I neither work nor have children :p :eek:. So what does this mean.. that you took your elliptical down to the basement? Does it mean that you'll use it now? LOL!!!

Mary - How nice that you DH took the girls and let you sleep in!! He's a keeper for sure. I'm so jealous that your workout is done and you have the rest of the day to do whatever else you want or need to do. I wish I could be more like that. I just can't seem to get moving that6 early in the morning, although when I had a personal trainer I worked out at 9 AM. It helped to have that appointment. have a nice day, Mary!!

Mary, I think a nice quiet house was a great way to get back into the game!

I did OK with my diet over the weekend. A couple glasses of wine and a dinner out, but I didn't go overboard. I'm back to soup for lunch and small, healthy snacks every 2-3 hours. I'm not sure what workout I'll be doing this afternoon. I depends on what I find in my mailbox. I'm waiting for Chalean.:D If it's not here, I'll do something from 4DS.
 
Just checking back. I did spend way to much at the grocery store! Good grief $148! We don't eat garbage either; veggies and good food cost money :eek:

Dana -- Nice to meet you too :) We live in Oregon and yesterday on the bike ride/run my DH and DDs were rained on! I just know people gave them a second look thinking "what kind of parent lets their kids out bike riding in the rain and before 8am!" Oh well :rolleyes:

Robin -- That was sweet of you to think of my laziness as being a good way to get back in the game, thanks! I have a quiet house right now too and look what I'm doing!!! I should be sewing. My DD (7) and I are taking a mommy/daughter sewing class and my DD made a pillowcase last week and now it is my turn. I think I am procrastinating :eek: I'm good at that!

Michele -- Are you finished yet?! I did go to the CC website and saw why the forums are gone. That is sad. It makes me feel a little less guilty about not posting there very often anymore; is that selfish to say?! I haven't told you but I love your new avatar. Your kitty looks so darn cute I want to jump through the moniter and kiss him!!!! :D You look pretty darn cute too! ;)

Diane -- I hope the weather held up for your jog with the stroller.

Hi everyone! I got today's workout done before dinner. Low Max...got through the whole thing! My knee seems fine, so that is good. Thanks Michele!

HOWEVER, I seem to have a ganglion cyst on my right wrist (has nothing to do with Low Max, but it was bothering me today.) Gee whiz, sometimes I feel like I'm falling apart! So tomorrow I will call my orthopedist and hopefully he can drain it for me and that will fix it. Cross your fingers!

Michele, hope your 1RM tests are going well. I still have a few more to do also. DH's broken rib is healing nicely, and he is itching to get back to exercising. He hasn't done any 1RM tests yet, though.

Diane, hope you were able to get a run in. If not, just do it when you can. As Michele said, it's hard to get back in the swing of things! Hang in there!

Mary, how nice that your girls can get out and exercise with your DH! And good for you getting today's workout done bright and early! I am also quite good at procrastinating...hence today's workout not getting done until late.

Dana, how is STS going for you? I am looking forward to getting started once my DH is all better...we will be doing STS together.

Robin, hope your Chalean came! Good for you on keeping your eating sane this weekend. Since I started back with regular workouts again, I have been so hungry!!!

It's nice to "meet" all the people I hadn't met before! Good job, everyone!
