GE Cafe Appliances

My husband and I are in the process of building a new house and are looking at the GE Cafe appliances line, including propane cooktop, counter-depth refrigerator and wall oven. They don't have a built-in microwave in the GE Cafe line, so we'd need to get it from one of their other lines.

Does anyone have this particular line of appliances, and if so, would do you think of them?

I just renovated my kitchen and replaced the wall ovens and microwave. I don't know anything about the GE Cafe line, but you might want to consider another line if a built in microwave is what you want and this line doesn't have it. I just had a double convection Kitchenaid wall oven installed, as well as the matching built in microwave. I think you'll be sorry if your built in appliances aren't matching and from the same line.... same fronts, handles, digital display, etc.

My contractor warned me about this before I appliance shopped and he was right. With both installed fairly close together, if they were different, it would not be pleasing to the eye.

Ours are the Kitchenaid Architect II series. I've only had them a short time, but I LOVE them!
