Furniture & Mattress warranties

I need your opinions, ladies! I am getting a new bedroom set and a new mattress from separate companies. Each has offered me a warranty & I am having trouble decising if I need them.

The furniture warranty is about $100 and covers any damage done to the furniture. The lady's examples were nail polish spills, nicks, scratches, etc. (obviously things that I cause are covered too).

The mattress wararnty is $150 and it has two benefits: 1) a sleep guarantee. If I hate the mattresss after sleeping on it for 30 days, I can exchange it for another (but only once). 2)any damage and/or wear and tear will be repaired.

I guess I shoudl say that for some things, I always buy the warranty. I have it for my refrigerator, MP3 player, TV, etc. but for this, I am just not sure! So, weigh in for me ladies! :)

I never buy warranties unless it's for a car. The mattress company should give you your money back if you're dissatisfied after 30 days WITHOUT a warranty. I never heard of the furniture warranty but I would be skeptical. This is how these companies make money. They're really counting on you never needing their services.

Well, I figure that chances are that I won't need the mattress warranty but I am wondering about the furniture one. There's always that one sctratch or problem with the furniture that happens and you wish there was a way to fix it!
