Energy Boost Help

I need some advice from the educated crowd. I have been teaching a 6:30pm kickbox class for the last 6 weeks. However, I find that halfway through the class I become exhausted, especially if I had to work that day. I was wondering if any of you had suggestions for an energizing snack etc. that would help with this. I tried eating dinner at 4:30, but that made me feel nauseous during class. Any help would be much appreciated. TIA

I take a ballet class at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays, and I don't like to eat dinner before that, because like you said, I get icky feeling during class, which is an hour and a half. But not eating makes me kind of trembly, so I usually eat a FiberOne Bar or an apple with peanut butter on it about an hour before I go. Both give a nice burst of energy, but the apple with peanut butter (or I guess any nut butter) gives longer lasting protein energy and the fiber from the apple is filling. Hope this helps. How cool that you teach a kickbox class!
