Ed Bradley Tribute Tonight

TeTe

Cathlete
'“60 Minutes” will give its late correspondent Ed Bradley a send-off tonight with an hour-long tribute that features interviews with close friends and a solo by jazz musician Wynton Marsalis.'

Sounds nice, TeTe, but I must confess that the main reason I'm responding is to send that thread that needs to die down to the second page. }( }( No offense intended.

I AM SO INSULTED!!!

Just kidding! It took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about, and when I got it, I just cracked up! I totally understand what you're doing.

Go ahead, use me -- I'm just a means to an end, Nancy!
:)

I tried to post on any thread that looked interesting that was BELOW the dreaded thread, and it worked for a while, but I give up now. I don't know why I want that thread to be gone. It's just annoying me for some reason. Thanks for understanding TeTe! :D

Well, to just ignore the other thread....I thought the tribute to Ed Bradley was wonderful and heartfelt. When Jimmy Buffett teared up so did I! I was just so shocked when EB died...had no idea, of course, that he even had leukemia...which just made his death more of a shock. Anyway, he just seemed like such a caring man and was a wonderful journalist.

I didn't know it was going to be on, I just tuned in hopefully thinking they would air a tribute. It was wonderful - I always liked him, and long remember his interview with Lena Horne - a masterpiece! He was SO cool!

I definitely got teary-eyed a few times during the tribute. His photographer when he was in Vietnam and Cambodia just broke my heart, and, yes, Jimmy Buffet seemed like he was having a hard time through it...but I'm glad they told some of those stories. He seemed like a great guy who had a great life, lived it to its fullest, and never forgot where he came from.

The Mohammad Ali and Lena Horne interviews were priceless, as was the last one I saw, which was Tiger Woods, just a few months ago.

He will surely be missed.
