Good morning,

Sorry, for not checking in yesterday! Yesterday DH and I left for a meeting/ceremony very early in the morning; we didn’t get home until after midnight. We flew in a helicopter, which was very coool. Last night/morning I was too excused to check in.

I haven’t worked out since Tuesday. I did do Stretch Max on Wednesday. My lower back/ hip are still hurting. Not sure what I did? I can hardly move. If the pain doesn’t stop by today, I will go see a doctor. I am afraid to lift heavy right now; hopefully I can catch up with disc 17 and 18 tomorrow. I am praying! I don’t wanna stop right in the middle of STS; I am hoping to make it through this time.

Today is going to be my missed wednesday workout, Arms & Shoulders(might do one round-30mins) and abb ripper, then DH and I plan on going for another hike...without the kids;) AND im bringing my HRM:D Willl bbl with the results.

I pulled out my favorite jeans yesterday and there still loose...so thats good. Funny how i have a couple of days of bad eating and i think ive gained like ten lbs or something:rolleyes:

Amelia - I'm here! I have been checking in late though this week every night. School started for DH and I so I have been changing my workout schedule to the evenings instead of the mornings. This gives me a chance to get more stuff done later at night instead of being zonked out by 8pm. :p

Wednesday I did Mindy Mylreas Workout!, yesterday I did GS Back, shoulders, and biceps. Today I am taking a rest day. DH and I are going to have a date night tonight. :) Tomorrow I will try to workout before heading up to my parents for the weekend. (my sister is having her wedding reception on Sunday - not looking forward to any drama!) I am so glad its Friday - however I have alot of stuff that needs to get done this weekend. :( Does anyone else have plans for the weekend? I wish I could just sleep all weekend. :)

Belinda: WAY COOL on the helipcopter ride! Please be careful with your weights. Is it just one side of your hip/leg or both legs?


Amelia: I am here and ready for a great workout! :) Have a good one and your right on target even though you had a couple bad days. Don't let it discourage you or make you feel guilty just get right back at it and feel good that you did. :)

Karen: Nice job on your workouts! You must be exhausted with all that is going on right now. Have a relaxing weekend and have fun at your sisters reception. :)
I hope to get out for a hike or something this weekend with the kids. My DD will be home this weekend too! :)

Hi Ladies

My pain got so bad today that my DH made me go to a doctor. The orthopedist did some checks and determined I may have a herniated disk. So she sent me for an x-ray. The x-ray revealed the disk was bad L3 and 4. The herniation is pressing on a nerve. The doctor gave me a shot directly into the area and prescribed muscle relaxers and Ibuprofen for inflammation.

My DH is staying here from his travels to take care of me. The doctor contacted the hospital in case my back gets worse. She suspects it will get better, in any case I am receiving an MRI on Monday and she has directed that I do not exercise before next Friday. That makes me frustrated.

The doctor did say that most adults have herniated disks to some degree, most do not hit a nerve causing problems. We are praying that I do not need surgery (pray with us). Again, the doctor said it is unlikely, but she wants to be careful.
I have no luck with STS:mad::(

Oh Belinda! So sorry to hear about your back! Did she (doc) say how she thinks it might have happened? Better head her advise and not push it by exercising.
Praying that it will get better soon without SURGERY!

Take care of yourself and I am glad that your DH is with you.

Thanks Heidi! Maybe it could come from lifting so heavy or moving wrong?
When I started getting a sharp, shooting pain that extends from the buttocks down the back of one leg, I knew it wasn't normal! I am so frustrated! Do I ever finsih STS?

BTW, awesome job on your workout today!

Heidi-AWESOME workout girl...im back on track today. had a great breakfast and now im eating some homemade chinese food..yummy!

Karen-that explains it...its hard for me to get on here when the kids are home..so ive been missing your checkins! WTG on your workout girl.

ok...so,just got back from my 7mile hike and i brought my HRM along. My calculations were almost right. 7miles/2hrs & 43mins = 1,123 cals burned. It was fun...DH and I were tired afterwards though:confused:. Needless to say..i won't be doing any weights today. Maybe tomorrow. Im not going to stress over the p90x workouts that ive missed...im working out still, so who cares:rolleyes:

When you get back to normal I am sure you will pick up where you left off. :)

I went to empty the trash outside and ended up dropping the barrel right smack down on the top of my left foot! Ouch! It swelled up right away and hurts like the dickens!
Doubt I will be getting that run in tonight!
I am joining you with being frustrated too! I was just getting back into my running after the right ankle being sprained back in July. Geesh I have bad luck!

Wow what a hike! Great calorie burn too! I wouldn't worry about those missed weights just yet. ;)

Where do you go hiking? Is there a mountain or hiking trail in your area? I love hiking the trails where I live too!
