Do I really need 3 risers for gymstyle

I think you need more risers for the leg press I believe they use 5 risers. other exercises using the step use 3 risers...
 
If you have the High Step topper, you can use the risers you already have (assuming you have 4 risers: two for each side of your long bench) for the step-ups.
 
I think that is mainly because the step is used as a bench throughout this series. You'll just be lower to the ground.
 
My make shift high step is my regular step with my kids bathroom stool on top. Its perfect for leg presses, nice and sturdy.

It depends upon how tall you are. I am 5'8" and I need 3 risers to use my step as a weight bench because otherwise my hands touch the floor and the lack of distance from the floor impedes some exercises, such as dumbbell overhead extensions for back. I also need about 6 risers for step ups. So, how tall are you?

I'm pretty short (5' in heels :rolleyes:) and when I do pullovers with only 2 risers on each side, my barbell hits the floor.
