Hi all!! I missed chatting with all my buddies!
Waterpark was very fun! I was thinking we'd have the place to ourselves - no, total opposite. The place was packed. It was funny. Have you ever seen Summer Rental with John Candy? The scene where they are at the kitchen table and all the tourists with their towels, bags, coolers, etc., are traipsing past their kitchen window. Well, when we opened our hotel door it was like that. But, it wasn't really too bad cause the place is huge. There are three separate indoor water parks and and indoor play place that the kids loved. The kids are at a good age where we can find a spot and let them go off on their own. Well, the boys, not Caitlyn. Jameson and Ian went right off to all the big slides - Colin was afraid to go down them at first. Much to my surprise, Caitlyn wanted to go down them. I think it was more of "wow, I can do something Colin is afraid of and rub it in his face"

. And, she did! Finally, the afternoon before the last day, Colin decided he would try everything. Then he didn't want to leave - he loved it. He was having fun before, but not going on any of the faster, twistier slides. Me, I preferred the hot tub. Part of it was indoor and part outdoors. Which was nice cause I always get way too hot and have to get out. But, if you went outside where it was about 40 degrees, it was perfect. The only not so good part was the T'day dinner. If I would have thought about it, I should have known. It was a buffet. Which I knew, but it wasn't even real turkey - it was turkey loaf, basically. Just processed turkey. Ick. And, everything else tasted processed. So, I promised everyone I would make a turkey dinner when we got home with all the trimmings. So, we did that Saturday and are still eating turkey sandwiches! It all came out really good, though.
Chris and Beth, looks like I have to order Lalofit2! I missed the sale

.
Chris, so sad about that patient. You're right, we are all really lucky and should appreciate everyone and everything we have. That run sounds awesome. I actually like running when it's cold. I don't do well with the heat.
Beth, it's fun to just do what you want for workouts. No pressure or dread!
Kathy, you're a brave woman for doing MIC!!
I've sort of stuck with the rotation I was doing, but obviously missed a few days. Oh Beth, I meant to tell you I did Mindy's Bosu workout. OMG, I thought I was going to die! Man, that was tough!! I think I subbed that for Legs and Glutes. I did Turbo Kick (sprinkler one

yesterday and KCM's Muscle Definition in place of Power Hour today.
Now on to not so good stuff...my dad is really not doing well. Now he's septic. He was really out of it yesterday. He's in ICU. I'm really not sure if he's going to make it or not. Chris, this is a really sensitive question, so if you dont' feel comfortable answering it, just ignore this. But, do doctors and nurses generally tell the family if they feel the patient is not going to make it? Or, do they try to keep them optimistic until it's really dire?? His blood pressure dropped really low and his WBC are high - that's how they figured he's septic. There's other stuff going on, too. He's on medication to keep his blood pressure up, but he has refused any other interventions, like rescucitation or a breathing tube if needed. The poor man has just suffered so much, I can certainly understand, but it's tough. He may still pull through this, but then they still have to deal with his bleeding, which is still going on.
Have to run....BBL...
