Good morning ladies..

Today is Disc 30 for me and my legs are still feeling some DOMS. A little better than yesterday though. I still still carefully as my quads are feeling it mostly..

Ok, time to get the kids up...Be back later!

Hi Kathy!
Hey Everyone!

I ended up doing KCM Plyo from Cardio Blast! It's soooo weird, because she reminds me sooo much of the nurse practioner at the boys pediatrician. The way she looks, and the way she speaks. It's a bit eery, but I like her, so it's all good! LOL!. As for the workout, I liked it! Great 30 minute sweat, right? My HR didn't get WAY up there , like with Cathe's Plyo, but it was up there enough! It amazes me that you do these Sloooooow jumps and then when you stop it's like WOAH! I can't breathe right now! ... I thought about standing legs (Beth!) , but thought I needed more cardio (ate crap yesterday), so I did an add-on from Step Blast, the first 2 combos. Ended up with 50+ minutes. Not bad!

Our tree is up and pretty!! Today, i go to help out at jake's class for 1p. Also got to get to the grocery store for the weekend. And then I'm going to take Jake and Alex to see Santa at the local skate arena. I have to premake some sort of supper so it's just a quick heat up. Greg will make his ooey gooey Mac & cheese for the boys (he's staying home, I think?).

Anyways, that's my day!

Kathy
: Which combo is DISC 30? Shoulders and biceps? How long are the MESO 3 workouts lasting? ... Hope you get a good one in!

Beth: Eagerly waiting for you to check in with KCM... did you do it???

Hottie
: Miss ya! .. Catch us up soon!

Joanne: thinking about you !! ((hugs))

Good morning! Internet was totally dead this morning.... thank goodness I have a husband who can fix these things.....

Chris, yes, I did the combo workout: plyo legs with standing legs from body weight training (KCM). I think it's a good thing you didn't do the second half I did, because I was thinking about you as my hips were hurting -- that workout is pretty hip-intensive. I also was wondering if you were going to be disappointed in the plyo because I realized the heart rate does not get up there like Cathe gets it -- but it is a good workout still and the music is fun (though I wish it were a bit louder!). Funny that she reminds you of the np.

Larry and I are taking the day off together today -- tomorrow is our anniversary and we just never get any time to ourselves. So, we'll have that, and then the kids will be home a couple of hours and then a babysitter comes and we'll go out to dinner -- she couldn't make it tomorrow night and I think we're getting our tree late in the day anyway, so it'll just be a fun family evening tomorrow.

I think -- just maybe -- I think..... I might be.... just maybe..... getting psyched to do STS again. I'm rolling it around in my brain for starting next week -- we'll see.

Larry just informs me that his old girlfriend just informed him that she's getting a divorce. Funny how she surfaced again about a month before this happened......

Chris: Great job on that workout. Sounds like you got a good one in today. The Meso 3 workouts are a little more than an hour long. I think about 68 minutes or something. Today is shoulders, biceps and triceps. I think it is about 61 minutes long. We haven't gotten our tree yet. Vic doesn't like to get it too early. The kids and I are hoping he will get it next weekend. We are eager to decorate it. Have a great day!

Beth: Happy Anniversary. Have a great day off with your hubby! Yeah sending vibes your way to help encourage you to start STS again~~~~ Have a great dinner with your hubby and tomorrow sounds fun with a family evening!!

I have returned...well, I returned yesterday and the ether ate it.

Workouts...well, I couldn't manage it on Wednesday so I took walks around campus a couple times. So I did plyo legs on Thursday (nothing added to it). I have to STS has managed to make me less afraid of Cathe's leg workouts. It was fun and hard. As I told Joe, I definitely had to cheat it in some moves and I'm convinced I cheated in other moves I just haven't figured out how yet.

Today I did 4DS KB on top of Disc 30. I like that combination. My whole body was great and warm for the weight workout and I wasn't terribly tired either. I needed to go heavier on a lot of other weights though...I don't have microload gloves and for dumbbells I don't like putting the ankle weights on. One or two pounds can seriously make a difference!

Kathy -- I caught up! :)

Chris -- that sounds like a nice workout! I can't deal with the tree. we can't even decide if we're going to get a real or fake one. Even though I've been absurdly lazy this week in lab, I just don't want to deal with more projects that I need to right now. The house is a mess because i'm rearranging the gym room so it's in that stage where all the stuff we had tucked away is all over the place and making me regret for taking on the project. But it'll probably be nice and cool by the end of the weekend. We took out the elliptical so I have a ton more room to work out in. Makes me feel bad for such a great piece of equipment but at least I didn't retire it out to the garage.

Beth -- happy anniversary! So, maybe you just need something new to help you out of your burnout. I was thinking just the other day that I'm really happy STS is closing. I love it, it was a ton of fun, but I really miss having more cardio and CIRCUITS. Shock Cardio couldn't come any faster!

I know this makes me into a small person, but sometimes it drives me crazy that Joe is on good terms with his exgfs. I don't talk to any of my exbfs. Any of them! I mean, I'm not worried but its like, why are you talking to each other again? Ok, I'md one showing that I'm a small person.

Joanne -- ::hugs:: we're all thiking about you.

Just a good night post before I shut down ol' bessy!...

Happy Anniversary to Beth and Larry!!! Sounds like a great day and evening! Enjoy! ... And that is weird about his ex letting him know she's divorcing. Strange people, huh? ...... Whatever you decision is on workouts, will be the right one!...

Hottie
: Good for YOU for catching up! .. You always do, you can count on it!! I've always loved Christmas and christmas tree decorating. I used to do my childhood tree EVERY year, no matter how old I was. I loved it! And I love all the nostalgic ornaments. But if your house is chaos, I can see you not wanting to add more to it! I did a lot of de'cluttering when we started stuff yesterday. It was exhausting! (and sadly enough, just threw the "clutter" into a pile in the basement, so it's not like I can feel good about it! LOL)

Kathy
: Thanks for the info on Meso 3. They are longer, huh? I'm a little nervous about them with Christmas busy-ness coming up. We have an artificial tree ( I am allergic to real trees.. broke out like crazy when I was little). But we hardly EVER have it up this early. I don't know why I was in a mood to do it. Now if I could get in a mood to christmas shop! LOL!

off to pick up, watching Christmas Vacation, and then to sweet beddy bye!

Checking in later here..... don't know that anyone will see this. Had a nice day.... Larry ended up on the phone with various work people for about three hours this morning, but we did manage to go out to lunch together and a trip to Pottery Barn to see about a new couch. I'm pretty psyched.... I think we are going to build a workout room in the barn, and make our family room a real family room. Both should be nice if we really go through with this! We didn't buy the couch, but we're pretty sure about what we're going to get.... what we thought we wanted is a little big, so I think we need to do a smaller L.

Then we had a couple of hours with the kids, then the babysitter showed up and we headed out to dinner. On the way we ran into -- not literally, but almost -- some guys broken down on the road. There truck was right in the way -- very dangerous situation, so we had to help them. We tied a rope between the vehicles and pulled them to a safe area at least. They were young guys without money for a tow truck even!, but fortunately they called somebody finally (on Larry's phone) that was able to come and help. By the time we drove home they were gone -- we were really expecting they might still be there! Had a great dinner a mexican place.

Nice day. Off to bed very soon, and hitting the workout in the morning! Oh, and yes, I'm seriously considering the SD road trip.
