Dec. 08 CHECK IN !! Weeked Edition Sat/Sun 6th & 7th !!

Well Today I have itread drills which is a good cardio leg burner.

Still haven't put the tree up as I need to move some furniture around namely my treadmill so that the Christmas tree is in a nice spot.


Beth Happy Anniversary - 10 yrs? for some reason I thought you guys were married longer. I hope you two had a nice evening w/ sushi and the rest ;)

Chris I looked over breifly at yesterday's post and had to smile about your cats.

My 2 cats love the tree; they love sleeping under it. I end up not putting any ornaments around the bottom as they remove them and forget about the tree skirt it always ends up not where its supposed to be. Its a hassle but I also keep a spray bottle around but my guys are old kitties now 7yrs old so they are not as mischievous as they used to be.

Kudos to you for getting that paperwork done - Hopefully all the 'fluff' will talk to the admin.

Joanne - Did you finish the scraping of the bathroom? I am one who prefers paint over wallpaper. I grew up with a wallpapered friuty kitchen -gag- and remember my poor dad swearing about putting it up and taking it down lol


I have lots to do today plus I want to go catch a movie if I have time. I can only wish - I feel so stressed its not even funny :confused:

Good Morning Vilma & All to Follow!!!

Today (shortly) I'm going to do 4DS: BICEPS & TRICEPS followed by some sort of 30 Minutes of cardio. not sure what yet! Maybe a shorter Turbo Jam.

Hey Joanne, I found this from the thread that Debbie (FF) talked about too much cardio:

"Yes, 30 to 35 minutes but if you do that, lets say 6 times a week, thats still only 3 hours. 3 hours isn't overdoing it. And on cardio days I said to keep it around 35 to 45 minutes so you can probably add about an hour to make it 4 hours for the week with this rotation.

I just think that cardio is overrated in a big way. Not sure any of you read Oxygen magazine, but Robert Kennedy always stresses that weight training is the way to go to lose weight. He is RIGHT. I know people who only do cardio and even though they are thin, they have no shape. If thats what you want (no muscle tone), then by all means do cardio until you fall

I have to light a fire under my boys' butts to get them going this morning. For some reason all they want to do is play!?!? :p

and our C-Tree is intact this AM , no thumps in the night. When I went to bed, Kiwi (the big orange 1 year old furball) was curled up underneath it.

Checking in today with a rest day...I need it too after Butts & gutts yesterday. My butt and core are feeling the effects of it!! We are going to start decorating today too. Lauren has been begging me for a few days..So, I am attempting today to get some done...

Hi All! Barely able to type here after frying my arms on 4DS bi's and tri's twice through! Whew! I'm with you, Chris, I cannot do the tricep extensions nearly as heavy as Cathe -- I think I go as high as 15 or maybe 20 -- yes, I did do 20 the second round because I realized 15 wasn't that bad. You have 17.5 weights? I've never seen that!

Last night was very enjoyable! Vilma, you probably thought we've been married longer because we have a 9 year old -- we got married the day after I had my amnio done. Crazy! The sushi was great and I put it on nice china and we just sat and talked and talked and watched the pictures rotate by and the mac that's set up in the kitchen. Very nice!

I think we are getting our tree today, too, and decorating. I'm feeling very behind, too, Vilma. Ug!!! Tonight we may go to a park in town -- they set up a 3-D light display (sort of like structures made out of lights, if that makes sense) and you drive through the park and look. We've actually never done it, but I think it'll become a tradition.

Have a great day everyone! Poor Hottie is in the car for maybe 7 or 8 hours today depending on traffic and all.

Hey Guys!

So I did 4DS: T&B's. Yeah, Beth, did you see Debbie (FF) did 30 overheads too? I'm like :eek: Most of the weight she lifts, I'm like :eek: I followed it with TJ's: Cardio party Remix. That one IS fun. And I didn't feel so much like doing a workout today either.

Beth: your dinner sounds VERY nice! though I'm not a sushi eater... But I can replace "sushi" with say, "greek pizza" :p . Yes, I have 17.5 weights. I have the Adjustable Dumb Bells. They are too cool, I love them! (last year's Christmas gift!!). Weird thing, we have something here called "Bright Nights". It is the same thing you describe. A park set up a zillion 3-D light displays throughout the park, and you drive through. We went once, and I thought it was a total bust! They charged $15 per car, and it was bumper to bumper crawling traffic, and you'd be RIGHT up on the lights, seeing the bulbs and all. I hated it! I get more enjoyment out of driving around town and seeing private light displays, I swear. Maybe yours will be better!! I hope!

Vilma: Your iTreads sounds killer today! "enjoy"?? Yeah, Kiwi totally messed up the tree skirt. And I'd imagine that will drive me crazy after a while. But I was relieved they didn't knock down the tree! ;)

Chris, you were very cutting edge - fingertips on the pulse - getting adjustable weights before STS and chalean extreme were even announced! :) And yes, FF is amazing!!! Do we know how old she is?

Funny, everyone here raves about the lights -- I wonder if we'll find it as you did.

Hello Chicas!

Just stopping by really quick to say that I'll start being more active again on Monday (Tomorrow). Today I have to go to church and DH will be home all day so I won't be able to come in again later. But, I'll BB tomorrow. :) I've missed you guys!! Have fun with the workouts or rest day! I've not workedout for 5 days now since I wanted to take some rest but tomorrow is back to business :)
 
Hey All!

How's the weekend going for you all so far?

Honestly I so look forward to the boring normalcy once the Holidays are done and over with.

Seems since just before Thanksgiving I've been running errands out in town buying food , decorations, shopping and I need a break lol never did get a chance to escape to a quiet movie theater.


At the moment I'm sitting here with the fireplace on and biscuits in the oven. My husband put some in as he just got home from work. The house now feels warm and cozy and the smell of those biscuits are killing me ugh. They smell so good but my eating has been ick lately.

I am trying to stay away from the biscuits and have some healthy oatmeal instead.

I have to go back out and do more shopping. It was so much easier to buy for my kids when they were small now as teenagers its just so hard.

I don't want to give money or gift cards as I enjoy seeing presents under the tree, but as they get older the gifts get smaller and more expensive.

My 10 yr old dd said she wants Santa to get her a PlayStation 3 - Um yeah good luck with that one :confused: That unfortunately is a no go especially since I had to pay DD's spring tuition this past week.

I'm going to have her just make a list to put inside the tree and see what Santa can get her.

Yesterday was tree trimming day, cookie and holiday cake baking and this momma needs to start eating cleaner. I feel like a piggy and bloated ick. :eek: So I'm making myself a big ol' jug of water w/ lemon juice and cranberry to drink throughout the day along with my regular water; hmmm after I finish my shopping I need to do today again.

Oh Vilma! Your post started out sort of nice and cozy -- fire going, biscuits cooking.... and then..... I know what you mean about the holiday pressure -- it is starting to get to me, too. I feel so behind. Don't know if I'll even get cards out this year! My 7yo wants a playstation 3, and that's not happening here, either....

I did some yoga this morning -- rest day! Much needed rest. It's a great rotation from FF though -- really enjoying it and feeling it in good ways.

We never did get our tree yesterday, so we'll do that today. We did go see the lights in the park and I was worried about them being lame but it was really fun!! They handed out sort of 3-D glasses that made the lights look like snowmen or dinosaurs -- the boys loved those. We opened the sunroof and they sat out there and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. A good time had by all, even Larry, who really hates this sort of thing and was very disappointed we weren't going to be walking (they don't even allow pedestrians).

Today, tree, decorate, clean!!

HI ladies..

Checking in with Muscle Endurance today...Tomorrow we are headed to DC to tour the Capitol building and the new visitor center. So, I may be MIA...We got a little decorating done yesterday. Next weekend we will get our tree...
