Hello Everyone!


Yesterday turned out to be a good day - amazing what the mind does to help you make it so .

Today I will find something to laugh about and smile. I will be happy today regardless.


I had a good workout yesterday though - was able to piggy back Tuesday's w/o yesterday.

Did KBWay2 - Empire State and boy do I feel the Doms this morning - love that.
slapped on my ipod and did iTread 20/30 followed by a long through stretch.

Today's my scheduled rest day but with a warm front that has come in - I would like to go out for a power walk using my vest before the cold front come in tonight and perhaps do my Yoga Zone Conditioning and Stress relief tape.

I have the hubby off from work and I'm going to ask him to bring down the Christmas stuff down from the attic. Hopefully seeing the Tree and stuff will help me find that Holiday spirit.

I need to go back to yesterday's thread and catch up on personals when I get back from taking the kids to school - so see you guys later.

Back and I just went over yesterday's thread .

Seems you all had good workouts - Kudos to us for keeping it up.

You gals doing FF's really need to tell me your results & opinions on that rotation as I may just end up doing it next month - maybe . I'm just enjoying my kettlebells so much that I want to keep up with them.

Beth How are you integrating the kbells with the rotation?

Joanne I don't care for rough patches but its a part of life - I've always said life should be a roller coaster with its ups and downs - or else life gets stagnant and bleh lol

Chris - Since my kids are older I miss getting the toys. Although we all still believe in the Spirit of Santa so we all still get a surprise under the tree thanks in part to my loving father even now.

My kids all are into electronics now even the 10 yr old. She has her ipod for Christmas it's in my closet and now I'll be leaving w/ the husband to go into the capital city to get ds's digital camera . Actually I love going into Raleigh for shopping its so much better than where we are at - can't wait until we can move over there.

Well I need to get moving since I'm driving out there this morning - Guess my previous plans are shucked. Hopefully today we'll be done with the christmas shopping.

Yes, I did all of BM2 yesterday to those who asked. I love doing that one because I always feel so good that I got through it!! Today is suppose to be Butts & gutts. But, since I did all of BM2 and not the premix Cathe had on the schedule. I decided to do some cardio so not to lift with my leg muscles 2 days in a row. So, I think it will be Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge 3...I am still learning that one. so, it should be interesting!

Kathy, high fives for all of BM2 -- that is definitely my most dreaded Cathe!

Vilma, I've decided to make kbells a cardio thing for me. For the most part, all I do is swings, which really is just legs and cardio effect, especially if not done very high or fast. So, I'm putting kbells in on cardio days. Today is a little different -- did legs today, but Tracy invited me to come and swing her heavy bells again, so that'll be bonus work (and not just cardio). I hope I survive! Anyway, I have really debated about how to make kbells work with traditional weight, and I finally decided that if I just stick to swings, it's cardio, so I can stick with my weights. I'm going to do that for a while and see how it goes. I may end up with some overtraining symptoms, we'll see....

Joanne, I would love to hear how any of the new "strikes" you got are for you. I've been reading all about them, and I'm really tempted, but feel like I shouldn't be buying everything I'm tempted by! :) I do have the new KCM's coming because I couldn't resist -- it's a little ridiculous how much I have....

I'm so psyched because I think I have gotten a male co-worker interested in Cathe. I'm pretty sure he is going to buy something from her -- maybe even STS. It's very fun to share it with someone and have them actually twig to it.

Ok, another crazy day for me.... may be back later. Everyone take Vilma's lead and be happy and smile today!!

Vilma, great attitude for today!! It's hard to fight off those blehs sometimes. Glad you could get a nice workout in yesterday. If I could control my eating :(, I'm sure I'd see some results from this rotation. I really do like the variety of it, though. I do have to say I've gained a few pounds, but my clothes really don't feel different. So, maybe it's a bit of muscle? That's over the past few months.

Kathy, you go!! All of BM2!

Beth, I have the same issue...I feel like I have to buy all these DVDs people talk about. (I ordered the new KCM, too) I have way, way too many. It's a serious addiction! But, it could be worse, I guess! I really liked Powerstrike. I also got Bodystrike, which I might add on Saturday after 4DS biceps and triceps. I'm trying to fit in extra leg work in this rotation. How fun that you may have someone else interested in Cathe. No one I know outside of these forums even knows who she is!

Chris, you asked about Powerstrike last night. Yes, it's kickboxing. Not dancy at all, more straightforward kicks and punches. It's at collagevideo, so you can see a clip. Bodystrikes is all lower body.

Today was 4DS legs and L&G floor work. I'm still deciding what to do for my 60 minutes of cardio tomorrow. Ideas?? I'm not too psyched about KPC for some reason. Maybe Powerstrike again.

Just a quickie check in for me.. I have to get out to grocery shop, AGAIN!, finish laundry, AGAIN, and really work on my Clinical 3 narratives... it's due this weekend.

I did the scheduled workout for FF's Rotation today: 4DS: Legs & Calves, L&G: Floorwork. My legs, esp my hamstrings, have been tight lately, so I didn't do as much weight as I have in the past. Those leg tucks on the step were tough, i was cramping up in my hamstrings. (well, one hamstring).

Anyhow, I'll BBL sometime to check in with you guys and do personals!!!
 
Hi guys. It's been really weird for me these last couple days. I've been feeling really off. Like I feel like I'm bloated constantly and there's a lot of pressure in my belly and I feel like I have to go but nothing much comes out. I even feel like this when I wake up before I eat anything. And so weird: I have no desire to do Cathe workouts at all. Like, I find myself if I even want to workout, I want to do something like the elliptical which is weird because I usually find it totally boring. I don't know what quite is going on...I feel like its hormonal but yeah...and I've been skipping out of work (like now!)...which isn't like me either. I'm not sure why I'm writing about this -- does anyone else ever get this way? Ehhh...I'll be back later for personals and I hope I can do some kind of workout in...probably just cardio because the idea of weights just is bringing me down...
 
Hottie, sorry you're feeling off. I'm not a doctor (or anywhere even close!), but it sounds like constipation, maybe? Sorry if TMI everyone! Have you been drinking enough water? Has your diet changed recently? A good cardio workout might help move things along. It wouldn't hurt to give your doctor a call and see what they think, too. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Chris, I know, grocery shopping and laundry are never ending chores. They are the most thankless jobs! If I don't do laundry at least once a day it gets overwhelming. Luckily the laundry room is right next to where I workout, so I'll always stick a load in before and put it in the dryer after.

DH said that a priest came and gave FIL last rights today. I'm not really sure if the end is that near, because the priest is a family friend and I think he may have came by to visit and gave him the rights. We saw him this weekend and although he didn't look well, he was definitely getting around well in his wheelchair and all there mentally. Now he's pretty much bedridden, DH said. I know I've said this before, but - cancer sucks! :( What a horrible, nasty disease.

Joanne, sorry about your father-in-law! It does suck.

Hottie, do the elliptial if that's what you feel like doing. And, yes, keep tabs on how you are feeling and call the dr. if it goes on much longer, I'd think.

Joanne, I'm doing IMAX tomorrow, along with the others who do IMAX Friday the first Friday of the month. I was going to do number 3, but everyone seems to be doing the original, so that's what I'll do.... if that helps you at all!

Did you think powerstrike 5 is intense enough? I feel like I've read mixed reviews. Bodystrikes sounds pretty cool.

Beth, oh, good idea. I may try Imax3, though. I've only done it once or twice and feel the need to tackle it!

Hmmm, I don't think Powerstrike is a huge calorie burner. But, I loved all the kicks - felt like a great leg workout with good cardio benefits, too. I never felt like I needed to pause the DVD to catch my breath or anything like that, but I felt worked out and sweaty at the end. It's a good workout to do added on to some weight work, so it's good for FF's rotation this month. I have a HRM that I haven't used in ages - I should start using it again to see how many calories different workouts burn.
 
Hey I came back to work to find a mountain on my desk...which I'm not sure how I'm going to get a majority of it down before my doctor's appt because i'm just sick of feeling how I do. I did LIS which was ok. I'm glad I did something but it wasn't the burn I wanted and my left foot (like the sole) really started hurting which is weird given how not-jumpy it is. Sorry if it sounds like I'm whining...I'm more confused with why I feel so weird! Will BBL.

the day has gotten away from me! And I didn't even get a chance to do my narratives. Crap!

Now I'm off to a parent meeting about the school splitting up. Should be amusing!

Quickly: HOTTIE: Get better, girl! hope everything is ok..do let us know what the doctor says!

I'm IN doing IMAX tomorrow, but will only do 35-45 minutes of it, per order of FF (LOL!!)
