Damage Control STS Style Wednesday

I just looked for this right before I posted and didn't see it and now immediately after I post a thread I see it? WTH!? I think it's an evil plot against me I swear! :p
 
So Joey was sick last night, throwing up with a slight fever. Figured he wouldn't be going to school today and would be instead going to the doctor's office so I didn't set my alarm clock. He came in at 6am and told me he slept through the night and didn't throw up. He felt fine so I gave him a little medicine and off he went to school but in the meantime I was running late now b/c I hadn't set an alarm so it was a hectic morning. THEN I open the door to leave and see..SNOW that was NOT supposed to be there! UGH! Made for a yucky commute as well. It's supposed to stop for a few hours but then start up again in time for the ride home. Expecting around 6". UGH. :rolleyes:

Ut oh, I just got to work and the school is calling...either they are closing early for the snow or Joey is sick...YIKES! Better go find out!:eek:

ETA:: Ok, afterschool activities have been cancelled so far....Oh and today is a rest day for me, btw. I was going to consider a work out if I was home with DS today but it didn't happen that way and that's okay too.

I'm back. I went to re-read yesterday's thread.

I have some nice DOM's in the back and triceps. Love all the pullups/chinups. I'm not very good at them, but they are still quite effective. I use my door gym and chair in front of my to put my feet on. I keep my knees straight so I don't push myself up with my legs.

Today and tomorrow will both be cardio days. This morning is Intensity, but I'm dropping the step down to 6". I always use an 8" step for every w/o except Imax 3. I've been really doggin' it for the intervals though. I'm hoping that lowering my step will leave me the energy needed to power through the intervals.

Wendy-so sorry to hear that Joey is still sick. Were you able to get the loveseat cleaned? We have a small bissell steam cleaner that we use for those types of accidents, or spills on the carpet or furniture.

LauraR-hope you are enjoying your time in the capital city. Hopefully you can get out and enjoy a run. I use the SS Lower Body Blast on pretty regular basis, but I've never tried one of the UB premixes. I'll keep that in mind.

LauraT-what...no DOMs. That's not the Laura we know. No worries about not doing STS. You do plenty of w/o's each week. You need to tape a class for us...we would have so much fun. Maybe we need a Damage Control Road Trip to Laura's gym. How fun would that be!:D

Jacque-wow, you will be getting your own office, that's awesome. Sorry about the sleep issues and night sweats. That sounds terrible. They do say that exercise helps reduces/eliminate these symptoms. Of course I can't really say since I'm not going through it. {hugs} I just started using the melatonin since I thought it would be better than using unisom. I only used it for 2 days and seem to be back on a good sleep cycle. My bottle is 3mg and seemed to work for me.

Angie-We miss you girl! Glad you are keeping up with your w/o's. If you need suggestions for new w/o's, Wendy is our go to gal. I just bought Michelle Dozio's Peak 10 Cardio and the Peak 10 Weight w/o. I can't comment since I haven't tried them yet. I posted something for you on your FB page but it didn't look like you had been there in a while. How's your business going? What about the kiddo's, Cody and Cam..right.:) Hope you can pop in more frequently.

Glad to see that someone else is ticking WENDY off besides for me!:D:p

I was up early enough to check in but only checked in to one thread and then my client arrived. I didn't get to work myself out yet today. I am toying with the idea for later...or I may take a rest day. If I do workout it will just be cardio and abs.

On Monday I did a run, bike, abs and B&G's. Yesterday was abs, run,bike, Amy Bentos slo mo (should,bics and tris) and b/c I am a sucker for punishment I did high reps, should,bics and tris!:eek: My shoulders are sooo sore today!

I have to say this crazy life I have been living is final settling in. Im not moody anymore and I don't feel sleep deprived. I don't even care that there are people coming to my house in the evenings to workout. AND I even managed to do all of my house work on Monday morning!

Diana** Enjoy your cardio days! Thats all I will be doing for the next day or two and then I need to do slo mo chest and back.

Wendy** DS woke up with a runny nose yesterday and this morning he wasn't in the best of moods...esp when he found out that he had to go to the sitters and he couldn't stay home all day in his jammies! Hope he is on the mend!

O.k...I will try to read yesterday's thread to see what I missed! I don't think I will ever catch up again!

Hey Ladies ..

Great mish mosh class last night - and very slight DOMS :eek: :confused: WTH is going on with that??? My shoulder is a bit tweaky - and the neverending soreness of the connection to the hamstrings and butt is a bit sore but other than that not much :confused: NOT LIKE ME AT ALL! and it sure wasnt b/c I didnt put forth a kick@$$ class .. LOL ... but I have a stupid stupid cough now :mad: hoping it is just allergies from nasty gym .. but man have I ever coughed .. my chest is itching and hurting when I cough now ... hope I dont have bronchitis or start of it .. I popped some ibuprofen - downed some airborn - and did VBF suggestion of starting musinex (have to use childrens b/c my heart races away w/regular) .. hope that nips whatever it is in the bud!! ;)

Di - you have been beating Miss Wendy here .. WOW .. that is impressive!! LOL I think Intensity and the HiiT and the Imax's should be done on a lower step .. the BPM is too high to use 2 risers (imo) .. this is prbly going to allow you to work harder and get more powerful explosive moves in .. let me know how it does! I only use one riser on all step routines b/c of my bad knee ..

Wendy - poor wittle munchkin - hope he is better today and you dont get the germies!!! Hey - I think it is a conspiracy created by Lori and Di to get to you too :p :eek: :p jk ;)

LauraR - hoping you are enjoying your day trip today

Jacque - glad to see you girlie was getting worried about you - hey . . your own office .. new assistant .. WOOT WOOT .. sounds like a great thing!!! Your life has been busy .. so when things settle no worries you will be right back on track w/the workouts!!

Lori - hope all is well .. how are the PT sessions going lately?

OK .. gotta run .. was gonna do some sort of cardio today ..but with this cough I think I better not .. I dont want to get sick .. DH and I have plans for the weekend ;) .. may take a forced rest day!!! ??? we will see ..
