Crank Up the Fun Factor!!

I know that drills and intervals are the "thing" in workouts today, but there is something missing....FUN! I miss combos and fun movement patterns paired with sing along music (Body Blast anyone?!)

Thanks!

This is the suggestion I most support.

So many of the recent workouts demand so much from the body and mind such that a person really has to psych themselves up for it. It would be great to have workouts to look forward to again, to enjoy, with no dread factor attached. Lots of these recent ones have dread factors through the roof. I don't want constant HiiT, I don't want my heart pounding out of my chest, and I also don't need the other extreme: low impact step workouts that have footwork that doesn't make sense and fails to raise the heart rate much at all, which end up being movement for the sake of movement, but no real chance to throw yourself into it if the energy strikes.

Bring back Step Blast and Power Max. Yes! They may not be "fashionable" right now, but fun never goes out of style!

I agree that the older workouts are more fun, but I love how Cathe stays on top of the latest in exercise science. She continues to evolve and keeps giving us the best workouts on the market. I enjoy the newer, more intense workouts, but I still love the older, more fun step workouts so I do them all. I workout 6 days/wk so to keep up with that type of workout schedule, I mix it up. Some days are high intensity drill-type workouts and other days are the older more fun workouts like Step Blast, Step Moves, Step Jam, Low Impact Circuit, etc. Step may not be what's hott right now, but it's still my favorite form of cardio so I make sure to do at least one step workout every week. I smile alot during those workouts and I'm snapping my fingers and singing along all while getting a good workout. So much fun! I would love to see Cathe do some more fun workouts like those she's done in the past, but I still want her to continue to give us workouts that are based on what's current in exercise science and exercise trends. Personally, I think that if Cathe continued to only produce the same type of workouts that she's done in the past, she would become obsolete.
