Confusion!!!

You ladies who have been exercising successfully for awhile, I could use your help.
I was exercising at an intermediate level and then stalled due to a couple of injuries. Now I am back on track and found cathe to take me to the next level. But now...how do I fit it all in?
Here is what I would like to do in a week:
2 interval runs (I do those M & F am on treadmill)
1-2 other cardio
1-2 kickboxing
2-3 weight w/o
2 ab w/out
1 yoga or pilates

I have about an hour to an hour and a half 4 mornings a week.
I can workout two weekday evenings.
I can fit in about 1 - 1 1/2 hours on Saturday
Sunday is always a rest day.

Here are the DVD's/ equipment I have:
MM
stretch Max
lo max
kick max
Pyramids
taebo fat blasting workout
yoga (rodney yee)
pilates & Yoga (Denise Austin)

Treadmill
Nordic track

I guess I am confused about how to "mix it up". I have seen some people say you have to do upper one day lower the next or one body part a day. Right now a beginner I am doing a full body 2x per week with mm. So what is the way to go to lose fat, build muscle?

I eat pretty clean about 1400 calories a day, but I cycle them. I eat 5 meals a day, sometimes 6.
I do have a cheat meal with dessert on Sunday.

My goal is not necessarily to lose weight (although I think that should happen!) but to lose bodyfat (The dang handheld machine says I am at 26% which I can't believe!).

Any suggestions appreciated.

Seems to me like you need more strength training...

May I suggest the following:

Day 1 - Interval run & Chest
Day 2 - Steady state cardio & Back
Day 3 - Legs
Day 4 - Kickboxing & Shoulders
Day 5 - Interval run
Day 6 - Steady state cardio & triceps/biceps
Day 7 - Rest

Of course, you can mix this up anyway you'd like, but this is just a suggestion. Eventually, you would want to change things up a bit, but this provides at the very least a place to start...Hope it helps.

Thanks for your suggestion Marietta!
I haven't really looked at the premixes yet on what I have. I assume I can get each of those parts separately with either mm or Pyramids?

Hey Paula,

You could actually do the body part of the Pyramids and MM in one workout so that you can work that body part good. With Pyramid lower body, there is no need to add additional leg work. In otherwords, if you were working chest... Start with Pyramids chest portion, then put in MM and do the chest portion of that workout. Of course you wouldn't want to do that workout all of the time, you can sometime reverse the order or just do chest workouts without the DVDs using various rep patterns.

Make sense?

Thanks again Marietta.
I looked at your picture trail....wow.
You definitely have gotten results.
It's good to see another "biker chick" on the forum! My husband has a 2003 Harley dyna low rider and I have a kawasaki vulcan.

Hey Paula,

Thanks so much for the compliment!!

I have a Yamaha R6 right now....my DH is into sportbikes at the moment so that's what we ride. Trust me, I'm very careful...but it's a blast to ride.

Hey...if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!
