morris, ditto on computer hate!
as far as driving....i've had to let up. when gina was in pre-k i wouldveratherdied than let someone drive her. now its all good!
the link was for aisan chicken lettuce wraps....mmmmmmm

have a great time angie!!! just think of all the disney walking youll do!:D

The playdate went well-they stayed for 3 hours and had lunch. He's very easy to talk to and I was impressed with how easy he parented-even carried mom's diaper bag instead of his "manbag";) Now if only he'd have helped with cleaning up the basement.

Waiting for Darrin to get home so I can hop on the treadmill. Not sure about dinner-maybe out-it's kids night at a local restaurant:)

Anne, you are most definitely NOT a slug-rememer it's ttom, too. And 3 workouts is way more than the average person ever does so there! Gotta check out your database.

Kate, funny how we ease up on stuff like who drives our kids. Although, I still feel most safe when they're with my parents. Which "Eat This" book did you get? Will the girls eat the lettuce wraps, too?

Robin, I'm glad you're ahead of me on STS-I like having the heads up on what to expect pain wise;)

Colleen, I hear you on the pjs-it was nice to actually get dressed and put on a little makeup for my playdate today-didn't want to scare the company!

Katie, good job at lunch! I would love to meet Darrin for lunch-never happens:(

Morris, good workout and great eats, too. I'd start watching the older boy in a few weeks, just from after school til his parents get home around 5:30-6. In the summer, it'll be both boys, 5 and 8 on M,W,F from 8-5 or thereabouts-not too bad for the money.

Angie, have fun!!

kl- lol!!! m hates it when i make him carry my bag!!!!!! glad it went well. i hope the summer goes good too. you are gonna love your tues/thurs!:p
oh, its kids night at champps!!! j goes to bed so early we never go out to dinner anymore.
did you get your tm time?
no lunches w/ dh here either. the few times we have (w/ kids) hes on the phone the wholetime and its less than enjoyable. we email though - does that count?:p
i have all 3 of the books now:eek:. i love those things!
dds did not eat the wraps. g will eat them at pfs, isabel wont touch em. they had ginger and ive decided i really dont like it. next time i make it im going to leave it out and make it spicier somehow.

send me vibes to wo tonight!!!!!!!

My dinner bombed -- Chris put it in the crock pot at lunch time, not sure what he did, but it was dry and NOT GOOD:eek: So I had quiche and broccoli......and a Cadbury Creme Egg:eek:

I am tired and I know Chris is going to make me help him with STS tonight. I don't wanna but I will.

Sorry about dinner Katie. I have never had a Cadbury Egg and I'm not going to start now!! That is the most vile-looking thing I've ever seen!!:p
Just think of the fun things you can share with us about Chris and STS!!!

I'm soooo blasted hungry lately. All I think about is food!!! HEEELLLLPPP!
Going down to do HIS......

LOL, I don't think those eggs are 'vile' but it definitely was not as good as I remembered, not really worth the cheat. I really wanted a warm brownie with ice cream but I resisted! Have fun with HIS, I miss that one!

Haven't worked out yet-gonna go in a few minutes after Darrin gets done with his workout. Dinner was scrambled eggs and turkey sausage made by my awesome hubby:) I added some steamed broccoli, salsa, and shredded 2% cheese. And he cleaned up the kitchen, too! Do you think he has ulterior motives?;)

A warm brownie and ice cream sounds sooo good!

Kate, I'm not a fan of those things, either. Good job on getting the workout in despite the hour.

Katie, sorry dinner didn't turn out. How are you helping Chris?

i am such a grouch! i think i am picking fights b/c dh is leaving. that and fd. youck! you all are so productive!

kl, enjoy the tm time. yeah on the hubby, regardless of motives;)

katie, must admit, i am not a cadbury egg fan either. now the icecream....

kate, i love ginger - the wraps sound great. i made a ww pasta with sausage and roasted red peppers. now i feel yucky, though, and i did not eat much! must have been the nibbling while cooking:eek: oh well, it could have been worse.

okay, i have got to get out of this awful mood! i will bb tomorrow while at work;) night everyone

Morris, I am in a bad mood too. Not sure why. Let's have a pity party together.

Klaudia, the last few times I helped Chris with STS, I set up all his weights and equipment, spotted, and corrected form. Tonight I'm not doing anything but yelling criticism -- and weight for the next exercise -- from the couch:p

Chris is such a baby. On the functional overhead press/front raise, he quit at rep FOUR because the 12# dumbbells were too heavy. Waaahhhhh!!:(

Sadly, I didn't have that much fun w/ HIS:confused::(. Not sure why. I always loved that one. Did the finished combos of LIS too. Added on 15 min on CoreBlast. Might do some stretching. Have to do my nighttime chores and i'll see if time permits/

Katie, Poor Chris!:p I'm LOL about you sitting on the couch correcting him!

Klaudia, What a great guy!! Those are the best ways to get ulterior motives accomplished!

Morris, Sorry for the bad mood and fights.:(
Here's the recipe for th ewraps: BTW, I left out all of the oil and I don't think the dish suffered a bit. I used 1/2 the amount of ginger and it was still strong

Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Serves 4
For best results, use ground chicken made from a mix of light and dark meat.
1head iceberg lettuce
3tablespoons hoisin sauce
2tablespoons soy sauce
2tablespoons water
5cloves garlic , minced
2teaspoons grated fresh ginger
2teaspoons peanut oil or vegetable oil, plus 2 additional tablespoons
1pound ground chicken
Table salt and ground black pepper
1red bell pepper , diced
1(8-ounce) can water chestnuts , drained and chopped fine
5scallions , chopped

1. Remove 8 large, bowl-shaped leaves from head of lettuce; reserve remaining lettuce for another use. Whisk hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and water together in measuring cup. Combine garlic, ginger, and 2 teaspoons oil in small bowl.

2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until just smoking. Cook chicken, stirring to break up clumps, until just cooked through, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and transfer to bowl.

3. Add remaining tablespoon oil to skillet and heat until just smoking. Add bell pepper, water chestnuts, and scallions and cook until peppers soften, about 3 minutes. Clear center of skillet, add garlic mixture, and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add chicken and sauce and stir until thickened, about 30 seconds. Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves and serve.

I have officially been kicked out of the workout area. I think he's pissed because I said, "you know, I did ALL of the push ups from my toes." His reply? "Does it look like I care?" :eek:OUCH!

G'nite!
