Clean and Tidy, Wed June 27

Good morning all tidy eaters!

Wow, I feel like I've missed so much around here not being able to check in the past few days. Although, where is everyone this morning...are we all sleeping in LOL?

My plan for this fine am was to workout since I have the day off but it's hotter than Hades here and I have no AC and fans just won't cut it so I guess I'll let the body have a little break today. I do feel like I need a little recharging, anyway. I've eaten very clean the last two days so that's a good thing. In fact, I made the most delicious chipotle turkey meatloaf last night (another Cooking Light recipe)...YUMMY :9!!! Mind you, I HATE turkey with a passion!

I'm going to keep the menu squeaky clean today...
B - spinach and mushroom egg white omelette, steel cut oats with blueberries

I'll make up the rest of the day as I go along. I guess I'll get a little housework done, a few errands and get my preorder in today...ooh, busy day :p.

Good morning Wendi and other tidies to follow. Yeah, it's hot here too. But it helps with my eating - it's too hot to cook or eat. All I crave is something cool and wet - water or fruit. Yesterday, as a result, was pretty dog gone clean. I hope to do the same today.

Bfast - same old same old
Lunch - leftover Shrimp and Penne
Snack - cherries, nectarine
Dinner - DD picked out a Balsmaic Glazed Chicken recipe from one of my cookbooks. It includes smoked mozerella, which I may (or may not) scrape off my piece
Workout - Step fit, unless I melt into a puddle in front of the fan.

Ugh...I am exhausted today!!! I was having trouble falling asleep so I took an Ambien (which usually works wonders) and it did NOTHING! I was up wasy too late and have to get going and start my w/o because I am meeting Tess-Atl for lunch today. I am very excited to be meeting another Catheite. We have set up a Yahoo group for Atlanta Cathe fans and have a hikiing outing planned for the 29th of July. Cool, huh?

I did SO WELL yesterday until last night when I couldn't fall asleep and I was really PMS'ing. I had the rest of the Peanut Butter M&M's and a handful of chocolate covered raisins. It wasn't a binge, but I was really trying to not have ANY more sugar. Now, it's all out of the house and I am going to resist buying anything. I feel like Shelley did a while ago. Damn, PMS. I have to not allow it to control me!!!

My workout plan for today is an iCLimb then MM (although if I don't get up off my arse, I won't have time to do both). I don't know what I am going to eat yet, so I will BBL.
 
Oh, Robin, I wish the heat killed my appetite! When I was overweight I used to stop eating when it got hot. Now that I'm much more fit (and not carrying all that extra weight) I'm much more tolerant of the heat and don't lose my appetite like I used to. In a way, it kind of sucks x(.

Lorie, don't worry hon...it sounds like we've all been there lately. But that hike sounds like fun! I'd love to have a get together around here. I know that there are a few of us here in the Hudson Valley. Ooh, ooh! I have an idea!!! Does anyone want to spend an afternoon at Mohonk or Minewaska? It's just a thought...

Hi ladies!

Well, everything keeps going great for me... until I get home!x( So I guess I'm a part-time clean-eater. Oh well. At least it's always on my mind so I tend to make better choices when I go out anyway. We also haven't been to the grocery store this week so that's making my choices a little more difficult too. Next week should be better. At least I hope so!

This morning, I did the 53 minute premix from KPC & so far today, I've had 2 cups of coffee, a large glass of water, a cup of Kashi Cinnamon Harvest cereal, a cup of frozen blueberries & a container of nonfat vanilla yogurt. I don't have anything here for lunch so I was thinking about running out to a local grocery store, making a big salad, & also picking up the most recent copies of Muscle & Fitness Hers, Oxygen, & the special Oxygen Abs too. Maybe all that inspirational reading will help keep me on track!:+

Hey ladies... sorry I haven't been around... life has been hectic and, well, I haven't been eating very cleanly (is that a word?).

I'm actually sick right now. This is my second day home from work. I'm dizzy, nauseated, have a splitting headache and soooo lethargic.

I was hungry this morning so I ate my cereal for breakfast but then I came close to not keeping it down, so I think I'll just nibble on crackers and whatnot for the rest of the day. I think a workout would be a bad idea, but we'll see how I feel later.

Good Morning All,

I did ok yesterday, winded up snacking in the PM while watching "Big Love". I cannot resist that show, I tell ya. :) I ate this puffed corn cereal, no additives or anything, I found it at Whole Foods, at around 60 cal per cup, I felt pretty "clean". Oops, I did take a bite of cheese pizza, but immediately gave the rest to my dog!

Today is pretty much the same as yesterday.

B-nectarine,rice cake with soynut butter
S-fruit or 4 egg whites with spinach, lowfat cheese
L-ff tortilla stuffed with broccoli sprouts, other veggies
S-apple with soynut butter or a bunch of berries!
D-uh, not sure but probably a large salad with lowfat dressing, lots of veggies
S-maybe some more of that puffed corn stuff, if I feel the urge to munch

Workouts: Ok, I am going to try and do PlyoX again ( I swear this is a tough workout, hard to get the motivation) if I chicken out, will be forced to do the cardio drills from DrillMax. }(

its crazy hot here as well, I dont have air conditioning, but i kind of like it, i sweat like crazy and i get better stretches! DH thinks i'm going to pass out half the time working out though.

Today, all on track, usual eating. I'm heading over to the farmers market at lunch, always the best fruits and veggies.
Workout tonight, drillmax, leg blast and abs, last night, MIS +GS add ons, and Barr.

How can you gals tolerate no AC???!!! I like no AC but for workouts it's a must! Props to you!

Tneah, I know what you mean about taking a bite and giving the rest to the dog. I can't even begin to count how many times I've taken abite of my kids food and gone "No, you didn;t really want that - and it doesn't even taste that good anyway!" Then I spit it out in the trash and feed the rest to the dog. A friend of mine is a RD and she says this is eating disorder behavior but I think not. It's a disorder all right - I call it Temporary Lack of Willpower!

Today was a good day (mostly). The only unclean thing I ate was a chicken finger from Arby's. I was at my inlaws' working and they were nice enough to get a salad for me but I was starving and it was leftover from theirs so I caved and ate it. Not too bad all in all.

All of the rest of the day was lean protein and produce. Ah! Part of dinner was this yummy salsa from a local market. It is so hot/spicy and so good. I ate 3/4 of the container. Yum...... It's so expensive but so worth it.

I am a psychologist and I will tell you that it is not eating disordered behavior. It's actually good that you make a choice not to eat something that is bad for you. Maybe one bite is all you need to convince you. Anyway, don't let your friend's comment bother you. I am sure it came from a good place and she wasn't trying to be mean, but IMO, she's not correct.
