::: CHEETAHS ::: Got holiday spirit? Sunday

Wow! I missed Shelly completely! Please forgive me Shelly! You got in one heck of a workout yesterday! Great job, as usual. I love your leash with the “bad to the bone” on it. Most pit bulls I know are the sweetest dogs. Sounds like another killer workout on tap for today! Enjoy!

Wendi – You’re a Pats fan, aren’t you? I got you and Thomasina mixed up – sorry! Yeah! GO PATS! Our friend called this morning to see if we wanted to go to their house to watch the game (she’s a Jets fan), but last year every time we went over to their house, the Pats lost, so DH absolutely refuses to watch a game over there. It’s so funny the superstitions we get about our teams! :p I LOVE Cooking Light. I’ll have to get a subscription. I just buy it at the grocery store.

Sunny – Oh, I’m sorry you don’t get your run! Good to hear about the new gym! That would really help. Hope you get a good workout anyway. I think I might have to invest in Tracey’s Sweatfest KB.

Jackie – enjoy your rest day. I hope you stay warm!

Linda – absolutely – people are always welcome to dinner at our house! I’ve heard that a lot about the Hi/Lo Dome workout. I’m dying to get it. I think my achilles can handle it now!

Well, I had a slight change in my workout. I did BC once, then I decided to tack on 4DS BC instead of running through BC again. That was FUN! And what a calorie burner! Now I wish I had one of those DVD players where you can program sections to play - I could imagine adding a cardio section from 4DS BC to BC for a really killer workout. Now I’d better take a quick shower, so I can meet DH at the bar for football (I have tea when we go out this early!). Have a great day all!

Good Afternoon Cheetahs.

Wow, I can't believe I'm checking in for the first time this late in the day! I was up early reading the posts but just wasn't in the mood to post for some strange reason. After that we got busy with putting up the Christmas tree and decorating.

So yesterday was a complete rest day which was topped off with a pizza dinner. :9 }(

I just finished my work out. I ended up feeling like some cardio (no surprise after last night's meal!) so I did Lower Impact step but stopped after the final blast and went to the cool down. I didn't do the combos as one unit so I had about a 20 minute cardio work out there I guess. It was enough considering it wasn't planned! After that I actually did some yoga while I was all sweaty, Christine!:7 I did about 20 minutes. I started with some Journey into Power stuff and ended with my beloved Tony and Yoga X. I still prefer to do Yoga as it's own separate work out when I'm fresh but doing yoga and then immediately jumping into cardio didn't make sense to me either. :p Ahhhh-Who cares...the work out is done now and that's what counts!:7

So while I was doing my yoga DH knocked on the door and said he was leaving now. Leaving now??? Where was he going? When I went in to work out he was half asleep on the couch! LOL Well, while I was working out, the phone rang. It was his dad. He's having drain issues in his house so he called the family plumber! DH was far less then thrilled. He looked quite annoyed at the fact that he had to get dressed and go all the way up there in this lousy weather when we had a pretty lazy day planned. I have no idea how long this is gonna take him. He was gonna go to the store and buy stuff for us to bake cookies as a family later. Who knows if THAT will happen now. x(

Oh well, I guess I'll go grab a shower and some coffee and come back for personals.

BBIAB!:)

Christine - I was wondering where the Cowboys thing came from but figured I'd play along ;). Check out Amamzon.com for the CL subscription. I think I paid like $12 for the year! How can you beat that?

I'm back!:)

Cathy: I can't believe you were up at 2:30 in the morning! I hope you've since gotten in a power nap! How's the to-do list coming along today? It's a good day for all you have planned as the weather is beyond lousy! Pullups are king girl! Keep doin' them and you'll be ripped too!}(

Thomasina: I'm glad you are back in the saddle with Grace! She's da bomb! Can't wait to hear what your DS picked out for his GF. How sweet! I still remember those days! :+

Lori: A private jet!? NICE! Ya should have run out there and asked if there was room for one more BIG kid!!!! LOL Glad you weren't hung over this morning. Smart move. ITA on the tired but not hung over thing.

Sunny: I guess at this point I will resume my job search come January. I do not have an NYC sports club near me as far as I know. Atleast the online search I did when I sent out my first batch o' resumes did not bring one up. Sorry you weren't able to run with Grace afterall. I have the same problem at times. It's such a bummer when you are psyched up for a run and then can't do it. No other work out compares at that point. :-(

Carole: Nice bat movie you watched the other night! Sounds pretty bad! LOL I hope your run went well today!

Judy: So what work out did you decide on today? I live in one of the few states left that's NOT self serve for gas and I am soooo happy about that! I couldn't imagine having to pump gas in all kinds of awful weather!x(

Lorie: Rest well! I hope you kick the cold soon! Glad you and xDF had a pleasant visit.

Shelly: Let me get this straight...a run...HSTA...AND stepping all in one day!?!? Oh my gosh girl I am ready for a nap just thinking about it! :7

Wendi: YAY for the snow day! You certainly deserve it!

Christine: You need to invite me over for dinner one night!;) Those meals sound delish!:9 You can't go to the bar to watch football and drink TEA girl! C'mon now! Ya GOTTA have atleast ONE beer!!!!}(

Jackie: How was Church? What else are you doing today? Enjoy your rest.

Linda: Glad you enjoyed Amy's hi/lo. I tend to be picky with hi/lo as well so I know how you feel.

Lorie..so sorry about the chest cold....:(..sending healing vibes.

Shelly...sounds like you accomplished a lot yesterday. I can do so much more when DH is gone...glad the run went good after a few miles. I don't know if there is any bargains for Under Armour. I got mine at Sports Authority as they have a good selection. Very good leg workout today...:)

Wendi...WOW...great workout and then snow shoveling??? You must be somewhat bionic..:)...good news about your "snow day"....have fun shopping.

Christine..I have always been weird about those horror movies, DH hates them!!! Thanks for cheering for the Raiders for me...:D...Good job with the BC's! I can program my 5 disc and it is great to do that...:)

Jackie..I will have to tell DH about sleeping on his left...Enjoy your rest day and church..

Linda... I even did some research on the Sumo squats and found a lot of weight lifters avoid them due to back issues. That is great you liked Amy's Hi/lo dome workout, that is one I did not get.

Wendy...good workout. I am laughing at your DH so called leaving and then crashed out on the couch...mine does that all the time! I guess the Bat movie was better then one of the "Screams"....:D

The run was good and no pain til about 5 miles. I stretched a bit then and again at 6 miles, then ended up doing 7 miles.

My DH is yelling at me to take a pic of Sadie in some leaves...

A drive-by post...gettin' chills and gotta jump in the shower.

Just reporting my workout:
[ul]
[li]4DS CST premix - 2nd time doing the premixes for u/b and I have to say: I love, love, LOVE it!! (Enjoyin' some DOMS from yesterday's ba & bi premix, so I'm expecting more tomorrow.)
[li]first 20 min. of Basic Step on the BOSU (whoo! quads were squawkin')
[li]10 min. on the EXT @ 10 degree incline
[li]4 pullups/4 chinups

Felt no need to add on anything to legs. I'm DOMSin from yesterday and the BOSU wore 'em out.

Feelin' great!

I'm gonna go get cleaned up and continue plowing through my work.

If I'm not back later tonight for personals, I'll get 'em in the morning. You know I'm good for 'em! :)

Carole: Yay for the 7 mile run! So did ya get that pic of Sadie in time? :)

Cathy: Great work out girl! Hope you had a warming shower and a productive evening.

DH never got home until between 6:30 and 7 this evening. The cookie making plans we had did not happen but we haven't given up on it yet!:9 We DID have a yummy salmon dinner atleast.

Well, it's almost time for munchkin to hit the crib for the night so I should probably get the bedtime routine rollin' now...

Talk to everyone in the morning...Monday-BLECH!x(

Nighty night girls!:)

Howdy Cheetahs!

Well, I took a gigantic chunk out of my Christmas shopping and now only have one or two little things to grab and I'll be done...YAY! One of those things is for my SO and I can NOT find it anywhere! He really needs a good ice scraper/snow brush (not the teeny tiny one he has now) and I think I tried everywhere I could think of, from pharmacies to department stores to auto parts stores...NADA! I've still got a few days, gulp!

Sunny - Sorry you had to cancel your date with Grace. So, were able to sneak that workout in at home?

Shelly - Oh, thank you sweetie! Nice run today! I have to admit that I'm relieved to hear that I'm not the only one who has a tough first couple of miles or so. If it happens to our very own bionic woman than it must be okay, right :p? Those are some kick arse workouts you've been getting in...WTG! I love those exceptionally productive days where it's just you and your to do list.

Jackie - I probably don't even want to know how one would fry a chocolate pie ! I hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Linda - Woohoo on enjoying the hi/lo! Hi/lo is definitely something I need to be in the mood to do...I feel like some bad outtake from "Flashdance" or something :+. We don't normally get to take advantage of snow days, but today was more of an ice day so we made an exception.

Christine - IA with you about pit bulls. I've known a bunch and they have just been the sweetest (and funniest...I knew one that loved to attack boulders) critters you'll ever meet. I *LOVE* your workout today. I do have one of those DVD players...thanks for the awesome idea!!!

Wendy - Mmmmmm, pizza! I don't think I've had pizza in more than a year, yikes! Too funny about DH crashing on the couch, typical male right? Nice sweaty yoga today...well done. So, what kind of cookies are you going to make. Hey, I gotta live vicariously here!

Carole - Heehee, maybe not bionic, but certainly stupid! I almost wanted to cry when I realized how hard the shoveling was going to be. WTG getting getting those 7 miles in! So, I hope you got that pic of Sadie to share with us :D.

Cathy - Nice workout! You gonna have some tired legs tomorrow! I almost bought a BOSU after seeing a good deal on an infomercial this morning. $99.99 for the BOSU and three DVDs. However, that didn't include shipping or tax which brought it to almost $130...NO thank you! I'll get one...eventually, I hope. I hope you're not up too late with work. Get some sleep, will ya?!

Kristi - If you see this, please check your PMs! It's important!

That catches me up for now. I'm off to wrap, followed shortly by bed. Nightie night!

Evening Cheetahs!

Shelly - Good job on your run but why was the first 3 miles difficult for you? You must take a picture of the doggie with the leash. Too cute. Hope you had a good workout.

Sunny - Sorry you had to miss your date with Grace.

Linda - Sorry that you don't get to do your Fluidity and Supreme Pilates workouts. I always wonder if I bought those items if they would end up gathering dust. Thank goodness I didn't have room to put them. It's just so many workouts a girl can do,right? I like the Hi/Lo Dome Challenge more than I thought too.

Christine - What a great way to fuse the Boot Camp workouts together. Know you were sweating profusely with that.

Wendy - Sorry your lazy day plans with husband got ruined. At least you have the tree up. Church was nice. Lots of people today. Guess they're home for the holiday. I was going to visit my mom but she was out gallavanting somewhere. Actually, my sis took her shopping. So, I stayed in the rest of the day. I need to get some gifts wrapped but not in the mood yet.

Carole - Yeah, let me know if that left side works. Glad you had a good run. What was Sadie up to?

Cathy - Glad you enjoyed your workout and you have some DOMS.

Wendi - Good job with the shopping. Was that power shopping? I think they do the chocolate pie like apple turnovers. Then it dusted in powdered sugar. I only had it once and brought half of it home with me.

Sleep tight ladies!

Jackie
