Morning, cheetahs :D

Looks like a lot of cheetahs took the day off yesterday – from posting, not from working out, I’m sure. :) Only a bit of personals to catch up with…

Carole :: how’s the tooth? You hangin’ in there? The chipmunk look still in effect? Hope you’re still enjoying cooler weather.

Jackie :: *lol* about you rolling around on your tennis ball at work…that sounds like it could be material for a Seinfeld episode. :p :D

Marcia :: yes, clean eating should give you more energy…I really should try it sometime, eh? ;)

Wendy :: glad you curbed your freakout…unplanned rest is OK…really!

I did *more* rearranging of the rest of the week’s rotation and did not do PUB last night, after all. I have Leaner Legs + abs on tap for today…PUB + a run tomorrow…a BC premix on Saturday…and B&G + a run on Sunday, and that will round out (bad pun) my butt-buster rotation! :) That’s the new plan.

Have a great day, ladies!
Cathy :)

Good Morning Cathy and all Cheetahs who follow!:)

Cathy: I don't leave on vacation for another week. It's gettin' CLOSE though! :) The rest of your rotation looks good! Have fun blastin' your butt!;)

So I had planned on spin class today but my butt and legs are still not happy with me :p so my plan is to hit the TM for a nice, easy, flat run. Gonna try to work out the "kinks"! I plan to take spin on saturday morning instead now!

Mornin' Girls:

Cathy - I'm having trouble figuring out the rest of my week, too, before Monday's start to our rotation. Any chance you'd want to start it tomorrow instead??? Or do you want to start on a Monday (a clean start of the week?). Just a thought. :)

Wendy - Oooohh, vacation - where are you going?

I got up and did a quick 30 minute walk outside. It was a little less humid, but still pretty yucky! I got home and cleaned out the cupboards, threw ALL the junk that would trigger me to eat. DH and DS will just have to have treats elsewhere. I'm sick and tired of being 'sick and tired', so I made the first change and cleaned things out!

I'm off to get ready for work, I have a TS meeting tonight and then work at the bar for a while to help with all the ball teams that come in after their games to eat. (But, I won't have anything to eat) That bar food is dangerous and I can't have any or I'll eat it all. That's another trigger I need to get past bad! Gum, I just keep telling myself GUM, chew gum!!! :7 :7

Have a great day Cheetahs, I'll be back after I get to work to see if any of the rest of you are up ;-) ;-)

Wendy :: enjoy the TM run!

Marcia :: I'd prefer to finish out my current rotation, and then start the new one on Monday as planned. I really like starting the week/rotation on Mondays as I have been doing lately. But I don't mind at all if you want to start tomorrow. Go for it! We'll still be doing most of the rotation together, anyway. That bar food *is* dangerous -- sending you strong resistance vibes!!!

Tattoo #2 Hip

Tattoo #1 Butt

Good morning ladies! As usual, sorry for posting so infrequently. Summer and fall are always my works busiest times so I don't get a chance to post much from work.

Yesterday was a good workout day. I did P90X Legs & Back, legs only, and Power Hour Abs. My hip flexors can not take ARX right now, I must be really weak in my core. I had also planned to get in a 3.5 mile run after the kids were put to bed, but the storm that came through at that time lasted 1 1/2 hours instead of the 20 minutes the weather man had predicted. :( In any case, I'm not a fan of running in the dark. On a bright note, today I have some nice DOMS in my legs and butt from P90X. My plan today is to run my 3.5 miles outside. I'm trying to make my legs adjust to running outdoors more. I can easily get more mileage in on my treadmill, but it won't help me if I still plan to run the HM in October. That was one of my downfalls with my first HM, not enough runs outside.

I have went back to my old eating habits. It is so hard to eat well when away from home, and we have been away for the past couple weekends. I'm hoping to start fresh on Monday. I don't have any more weekends away planned for a long time so I know I can stay focused and plan better.

Carole - Sorry to read about your tooth.

Wendy - Congrats on training for a HM. Your tats look great! Makes me think about getting a small one.

Waves to Cathy, Jess, Shelly, Marcia, Christine, Jackie, Amy, Gayle, and anyone I may have missed. :)

Oh no, Cathy, I'm waiting for you - that's for sure. I didn't realize you were doing another rotation already. I just thought you were just waiting for Monday. Monday start it is! :)

Wendy - Love the tat! Was it painful??? A friend of mine wants to get one and take me with her. I'm not too sure of it yet.

Hi Kristi - don't worry about being MIA, I was for quite a while, too, summer is just a busy time of the year. We just love it anytime you can join us.

Marcia.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...the tooth is much better, I can even chew on that side now! Even the swelling has gone down, so I am feeling much more human. Enjoy Meaner Legs today!..:)

Wendy...Enjoy your flat run today. Thanks for sharing the tattoo pics! Yours are really pretty!

Marcia...good job on the 30 min walk. I know what you mean about getting the junk out of the house. Having those tempting things in your house can be dangerous.

Kristi...That P90X leg workout can really get those glutes. it seems to be the 1 st few exercises in ARX that target the hips flexors, I found I had to concentrate more on my abs doing them and then the hip flexors would not be too sore. Thanks, my tooth is feeling a lot better now and the surgery tomorrow should hopefully take care of this happening again.

Jackie...good job on the speed drills. Yesterday was much better tooth wise.

Today I am doing an EXT warm-up and then running about 3 miles. I need to squeeze in the run today as tomorrow pre surgery I shouldn't be running! I am also doing Amy's ARX legs.

Have a great day...:)

Wendy :: the tats looks great ~ I like how they all look linked.

Marcia :: no, I haven't started a new rotation...this is week 4 of a 4-week rotation.

Hi Kristi!

Leaner Legs & abs are done and now I'm enjoying a post-workout shake.

ETA: Carole :: glad you're feeling good enough to run - and EAT! :D

Good morning!

Sunny - That would be great to have a HM training group so close to home.

Cathy - Sounds like a great butt buster rotation you have lined up. Tutoring today?

Wendy - Did the run help? Can't view your tats from work. x( I'll have to wait until I get home.

Marcia - Way to clean out those cupboards!

Kristi - Good workout yesterday. Running outside once a week has really helped me to adjust to the pavement. My calves don't get as sore now. Hope you have a good run today!

Carole - What time is surgery tomorrow? Enjoy that run today!

I did iClimb #6 20 minutes and BM2 Double Uppler Body. I left off the warm up but did everything else. YOWZA!! I decided to give my legs a break from running today.

DS called me this morning to tell me he was robbed yesterday. My heart skipped a beat. Anyway, his truck was broken into while he was at work. They stole his wallet out of the glove compartment and tried to steal the tv.

Enjoy your day ladies!

Jackie

Good morning all! I actually did get in two of the BBC TM workouts yesterday (not back to back!) Hooboy! I got my pace up to 10mph
(6min/mile pace) a few times. OMG it really gives you an appreciation for what the elite runners can do. Here I am pushing the old legs as hard as I can and concentrating with everything I've got to maintain form for only a minute and these guys go much faster than that for hours!!!

Cathy- So you're already a veteran Half Marathoner.... then why not go for a full one and really knock the socks off your students? }(
Great butt blaster rotation? I'm surprised you have any butt left;-)

Wendy- You are so cute when you obsess over your workouts!!! You really make me smile:) what distance did you do on the TM today?
Thanks for the tat pics! My fav is definitely your latest, the tramp stamp.

Marcia- You've made some excellent strategic decisions with your clean eating. Especially getting rid of the junk food in your house.
If it's not there ya can't eat it! I hope your DH and DS will be supportive of you. Are you going to join the clean eating check in or have you already? It may help keep you accountable.

Kristi- We're happy to hear from you whenever you have the time!!!
It is hard to schedule the outdoor runs when it's so hot. I really have to push myself out of bed pretty early on the long run days but it's worth it. You really can't prepare well enough for the longer races on a TM!!

Carole- I'm so glad you're feeling better and wishing you the best for your surgery tomorrow!!! I'd find it to be way more hard than a 20 mile run personally!

Jackie How awful for your DS!!! I hope he didn't have alot of credit cards/ID etc in his wallet at the time! Great workout for you today. I don't do BM2 double upper body all that often cuz it's such a BURNER!! I'm afraid at the end of this workout I'm yellin not too nice things at Cathe!

Time to get on with the day here. I'll be doing the Full Body BBC workout w/ cardio and later an hour on the EXT:7

Hey guys! Remember me? I've been MIA for a few days, just plain busy having fun with the kids. Plus we had a minor scare with my mom yesterday. Had to take her to the hospital with severe stomach cramps, etc. Turns out it's not related to her cancer; it's gastro-intestinal something-or-other. Treated with meds, and she's feeling better today. While she was there, they figured they'd do CAT scan, MRI, etc just to check and the Docs told her she's healthier than THEY are! LOL That's always a good thing.

I've been slacking in my workouts. For some reason this month, TOM knocked me on my patottie. BUT....back at it starting this morning with Drill Max.

Sorry to be so quick as usual. Got to get lunch ready for when the kids get home!

Hey Ladies!

I just finished Cool It Off Express. I opted out of yoga. I decided that my legs would not be able to handle the burn from the warrior poses and such! The stretch was wonderful. Hopefully I will be able to walk properly tomorrow!:p

I have been a bit lazy about keeping up with personals as of late and I am sorry about that folks. I will do better in the future, I promise!;) As a matter of fact, I will start NOW!:7

Laurie: I have decided to train for the Philadephia Half that takes place in November. There are a few options here in Jersey in October but I am not comfortable doing it that soon.
Yeah, B&G about KILLED me!:p I'm still walkin' funny and had to put off spin today cause my legs would not have been able to take it! So you are officially moving on to the new job come August first ey? Good for you! Have you given further thought to getting back into some instructing or are you sticking with the massage for now?

Shelly: As you already know, I chickened out of total body DOMS by resting y'day! Sorry to disappoint you! LOL I didn't run far today...not even 3 miles but I didn't want to over do it on these tired legs!
A 6 min mile pace!? Holy moly woman! You are my hero!!!!

Jackie: No, I probably won't download Grace's walking work out. I figured I'll just do the Itreads I already own at walking pace. :) So how long have you been working out and running? You seem to be a pretty incredible athlete. Your work outs are awesome! Is your DD following in your footsteps? :)

Sunny: I am going to use Hal's NOVICE HM training program when I train to RUN a half. That is if I make it through the walk/run one this year! LOL So how will you train for the tri then?

Marcia: I am going to Myrtle Beach, SC on vacation for a week. We are driving down. It will be about 12 hours through the night. Should be interesting! LOL We are staying in a 3 bedroom condo that is part of a big hotel on the beach. We are staying with my SIL and her fam (DH and 2 teen kids) and my other SIL who is single. There is a whole gaggle of others going down as well. Should be a fun one!
Forgive me for not remembering clearly, but did you say you are post-poning training for a half now?
Was it painful is a very subjective question in regards to tattoos. There are folks who can literally snooze while getting a tattoo so for them I guess the answer is no! LOL For me? Yeah, it hurts but it's not intolerable! If it was, I would not have three! LOL

Kristi: Good job with X Back and Legs. It seems innocent enough but it gets me every time too!}( So you are running another half in October? Good for you!
Thanks re: the tat. I have unknowingly convinced a co-worker of mine to get her first tat! She's like 42 and is gonna go for it! She's getting a butterfly on her ankle and has been scouring websites looking for ideas! I love it!}(

Carole: Thanks re: my tats. Enjoy your run today and good luck with the surgery tomorrow!

Gayle: Glad the thing with your mom was nothing serious. Great to hear that you are having a fun summer with your boys!:)
