Changing Workout Time Advice

So Melagras how did it go?????
Not too bad. I got up at 4:25 am and drank a cup of coffee and ate a protein bar. I did P90X Core Synergistics (about 57 minutes). I thought I would be real sluggish but I wasn't. Go figure. Next week will be the real test - starting the first week of P90X.

Hopefully changing my workout time will help with getting a more restful sleep. Before, I would finish exercising around 7:00 pm each workday evening.
 
Oh wow! That's great. It's really hard the first few days but once you have done it for about a week or so you get use to it. Hang in there! It's great once you make a habit out of it. You'll see. I sleep like a baby at night :)
 
This was me!!

I get up at 4:45, are usually done with my workout by 6, get in the shower at 6:15, wake the teenagers, get dressed, makeup, hair, coffee, etc and I am out the door by 7:30.


I have the same routine- I think the key is getting to bed early- 8-9pm the latest.

It is very doable, and on weekends or days off, you will love getting it out of the way early, makes the whole day go by faster
 
I too get up really early to workout. I have to be at work by 500AM so you could only imagine what time I get up to work out! But I am out the door by 430am and I am in bed by 800pm the latest. It's the only way for me to get it done. I'm home from work by 2pm so I'm here for my little one who gets off the bus at 330 pm after I'm running around to after school stuff dinner homework and other stuff. Good luck to you ! But getting it in early feels so good the rest of the day!

I too have to be ready for work by 5am!! I have 6 children the youngest one is 15 months. I have to get up between 1:45 and 2am just to get my workout in. I will head to bed by 8:30pm, but dont end up going to bed until past 9:30-10pm. My little girl has never been a good sleeper and even now she won't sleep through the night! Theres times when I literally only get about 3 hours of sleep (way to often)! I was thinking I was going to try and change my workout schedule for when I'm done working just so I could get some sleep. We will see what happens!
 
Wow Lulu you are amazing! Jeez I thought I had it hard! I also have a 15 month old. I remember checking in with you last year in the pregnancy thread. How is your little one doing?
My alarm goes off at 300am I'm working out by 320am in the shower by 4am out the door by 430! I go to bed by 800pm sometimes by 730. What allows me to do this is because I get home at 2pm so I still have a life after work! I run errands, after school activites, and home stuff. I'm usually pooped by 630 7ish. At home we have a routine we adhere to very day. Everybody in bed by 7pm lights out 745-800pm. Makes my life so much easier.
For the most part my little one sleeps through the night but on the days she wakes up I dont work out. I make it up on saturday!
