CC users -- what is a trek?

I did CC#2 for the first time this morning and was a little unsure as to what to do for the treks in Challenge 3.

I ended up kind of doing my own thing and alternated between a mid-resistance steady state and mid-resistance hills (on stationary bike).

I kept my heart rate where it needed to be but was just curious if I was doing the right thing.

TIA!

I just did CC#2 on Wednesday, so it's fresh in my mind. I don't think he is using the term "trek" as definition of what you should be doing, just in the general sense of the word (it means "difficult journey"). He does go on to say what you should do - maintain your speed and change your incline/resistance for the "treks". So, essentially they are hillclimbs - which is exactly what you did. So you got it. :)

It's one of my favorites too - the imagery is so vivid. I can actually see myself running up this snow-capped mountain and smell the pine trees and see the sun piercing through the trees... it's almost surreal! And then when it's over, I'm brought suddenly crashing back into reality - "Oh, back in my cold, grey basement again." :p

HAHAHA...you guys are funny!

This is my fave CC too for the same reasons, Emily. And the music! I workout downstairs in my cold, dark, gray basement as well so it was easy to let my imagination run wild until reality set in!!

Thanks for responding everyone! Glad I was on the right track. Now I can't wait to do it again..}(
