Cardio Coach Press Play Saturday

Okay, I'm done! It was HARD today. I woke up with awful cramps (TTOM) and a headache, but I jumped on the treadmill anyway and Coach Sean plus the thought of everyone else doing it with me got me through!

How did everyone else do?

Hey, Shelley.

I overslept, but still got up and on the stationary bike by 6:50am! DONE! WOO HOO! It's harder on the bike than on the TM, in MY opinion, but it's always good to switch things up, right? Logged over 16 miles and many buckets of sweat!

SO MOTIVATIONAL!

Gayle

Gayle, don't you just love CC on the bike. I have tried CC on the elliptical, bike and TM and love these workouts on the bike.

I just got home from the gym and did CC PP on the bike with the final challenge this time. It was way easier than it was last month for me. Although I kept getting a cramp in my glutes. Ouch.

Karin

I'm ^5ing you guys on your workouts. I overslept this morning:eek: ;( , so I'm just getting ready to do it. I've only ever don CC on my elliptical -- I would love to try it on a bike some day. If I ever get a bigger house I just may have to invest in a bike. Okay, enough chatting -- here I go!

CCPP done...but not the way I wanted it to go :( My left hamstring was sore when I woke up, but it usually loosens up during the warmup.

Unfortunately, by the end of the 2nd challenge my hammie was SCREAMING. I was going to stop and just call it a day, but I walked the rest of the course with y'all. I still managed to log 4 miles and I enjoyed the company ;)

I did notice that I am really overpronating my left foot...never noticed the exaggeration before....any advice?

I do wear Asics and custom orthotics already...maybe it is time for new running shoes?

Well, I've been thinking of everyone all day. It looks like I'm in for a rest weekend. My last workout was Wednesday! I have zero energy and need to sit down frequently and just rest. Sigh. As soon as this whatever-it-is passes, I am going to jump on the elliptical and do CC PP!

{{{{{Cuz}}}}}!! Listen to your body and do the workout when you feel up to it.

Tammy, how old are your orthotics? I was just thinking that I need to replace mine because they're about 9 years old:eek: . I hope your hammy is feeling better soon and kudos to you for walking the rest of the way!

Okay now for my sad story. I haven't been able to do the workout yet due to a crisis involving damily x(. It's kind of a long story but I'm pretty upset with a certain BIL and SIL and MIL right now. I'm still going to try to do it before the day is over, but I may not get to it until tomorrow. I now have to take dinner to the IL's tonight, something that I was not planning on. x(

Goodness, Cuz! I hope the family is okay! It's a good thing they have you... you hold the entire family together.

Michele ~ (((HUGS))) to you girl...I'm sorry the fam damily interrupted your plans. Coach Sean will be waiting for you tomorrow ;) My orthotics are about 1 1/2 years old.

Shannon ~ Rest up and do the workout when you are feeling stronger.

Hi, all!

I did Vol. 3 this evening on the treadmill, as I don't have PP yet. (boohoo) The music of CC always seems to be able to push me more than I think I am up to. It is really helping my cardiovascular.

Sandra

I did it yesterday and really enjoyed it. It was my secind time to do CC. I think I might get out of my iTread addiction a little but and do some other CC's soon. What's everyone's favorite? I have 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.

Michelle-

I just popped in to see how my CCPP friends were doing and saw your post. I am sorry about the fam damily ( and exchange student) issues. We have a few going on now too dang-it-all.

Anyway hang in and hopefully you will find an hour to yourself to produce some cardio endorphins. :)

PS-Thank for "missing me on the OAL thread

Shannon- I hope you are better today!

Tammy- What is up with your hamstring? Is it better today? I found my custom orthotic wer not working for me after about 5-6 years. I tried several over the counter soft types and settled on two that work for me. One in particular I like is Powerstep and you can google Powerstep to buy them on line. The other is a brand that Feetfleet sells if you have a local store in your area. ***Running to fast for too long can aggravate my hammie. I don't know if that is your case or not***

Good job on the bike ladies!

Shelly- Are you still training for the half ? How does CCPP fit in?

My current training is totally aerobic, so intervals are out of the question until I build my aerobic base. But I was thinking of you ladies yesterday. :)

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

JUDY!!! I miss you bunches...but I know you are having a very busy summer. I do have a brand new FeetFleet in our area and I'm going to go have them evaluate my stride....my hamstring is still hurtin' this morning :( :( :(

Sandra, I know what you mean about CC inspiring you to complete a workout, and my cardio endurance has improved so much since I started doing these workouts. I LOVE them!

Lorie, oh boy, they're all good! I've been alternating between Vols 3 and 4 lately. The first challenge in Vol 3 is 6 level three sprints that will kick your butt, and the final challenge in Vol 4 is four level 4 sprints -- WOO HOO! I like vol 2 when I'm short on time and I need to squeeze in a cardio workout. I have both the original and the revised versions and I alternate between them. I haven't used vol 6 in awhile but I love both of them, too. I know, I wasn't much help -- I love them all.

Judy, it's so wonderful to "see" you! I've missed you around here. Thanks for your kind words. How long will you have your exchange student? We plan to do the PP workout routinely on the last Saturday of the month so hopefully you can join us the next time!

Tammy, I've been missing you, too. Thanks for your PP support. I saw your post on the CC forums:D and it made me :) :) :) . It's kind of amazing to me that CC workouts are so popular and yet the forum over there is dead. Oh hey, I might try the orthotics Judy mentioned, too. I really need a new pair.

This will be my PP make up day -- lol! I'm not exactly sure when I'll get to it but I intend to do it before the sun sets. Like I said, we had a bit of drama yesterday and had to avert a crisis at my MIL & FIL's house (my very dear autistic nephew is staying with them and was having a bit of a meltdown which they couldn't handle). We spent the rest of the day there and didn't get home until almost 1 AM:eek: . I just got up and we're planning to go our for some brunch. So send me your PP love -- I need it today;) :D

Edited to correct several typos:D
