Can someone explain

Hi all,

I am seeing a lot of posts about how too much cardio makes you gain weight? I don't get this....how is that possible? But, I am starting to believe it....I do so much cardio and feel like it doesn't really work anymore. Can someone explain the theory behind overtraining/too much cardio? Maybe if I understood it I could lay off the cardio a little!

Hi Pugsrule, doing too much of any form of exercise will render it less effective. I remember years and years ago when all I did was strength training. At first, I got great results and slowly but surely, the results slowed and then stopped. You must keep your body guessing and I think we all tend to get into a rut with cardio specifically. It's not that cardio doesn't get great results, it's doing too MUCH cardio (and the same kind of cardio) that doesn't get results.
