Buff Badgers Week of June 3rd

Good morning. No workouts over the weekend. I had an adjustment on Saturday and have another tonight. My chiropractor recommended adjustments once or twice a week for a few weeks. I hope this helps - not just the pain I'm having now - but the general "touchiness" of my lower back and neck.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was fairly quiet. I went to the Farmer's Market on Saturday, and yesterday we spend almost the whole day at my grandparents' and helped my mom haul some porch furniture.

I haven't decided if I'm working out or not today. I'm doing some cleaning and reorganizing. If I can squeeze in something gentle, or maybe some weights, I will.

Have a great day!

Good Afternoon!

Saturday I did CrossFire, Sunday was my no workout day and this morning I did Burn Sets Chest, Back and Shoulders. Didn't sleep well at all last night but workout wasn't too bad considering.

Weekend was pretty good, especially yesterday. We were in the Newburg parade and then we went down to the picnic afterwards and listen to the band and did some dancing. Had a good time.

Sam - I hope going to the chiro helps. I haven't gone to the Farmer's Market in our area yet. Take care of yourself and get better. :)

Make it a great day!

Didn't get a chance to post this morning. I did a 3 mile run on Saturday morning. I did To The Max this morning.

Happy Tuesday! This morning was Meso 2 Legs. I have skipped my leg workout the last few weeks so I went back a few weeks so I can try to catch up with the leg workout. I was really sweating. I already know my hamstrings are going to be sore tomorrow. I added on 2 of the ab segments from Horizontal Conditioning. I'm feeling really great after this workout.

Brenda---I have been so tempted to do Burn Sets but I am going to wait until I am done with STS this round. I'm taking my time and not getting caught up in making sure I do all 3 discs each week so things are moving slower than it should.

Sam--Did you get some fresh fruit and veggies from the market? We have one that comes and set up in a parking lot nearby and I love trying new veggies that I don't see in the grocery store.

Hello! Let's see Saturday was Bootcamp followed by 130 squats. We were gone overnight at a graduation party and when we got home Sunday I did not feel like working out, but I did get in my 135 squats. Yesterday I mowed the lawn and did yard work and 140 squats. Today was STS Total Body.

Sam, hope these adjustments to your back help soon! I love fresh fruit and veggies!:)

Brenda, did you have a training with that woman over the weekend?

Hearty,good job on the 3 miles!:D

Hi Laurie!
Hi Sue!
Hi Karen!

Have a good day ladies~ Susan

Hello,

This morning I was going back and forth with what tough cardio I was going to do and went with Cardio Core Circuit. I was going to add on some jacks and stuff but my left leg said enough is enough, so I did the stretch and stretched more.

Heartymax - Great job on the workouts!! I really like Burn Sets. I was going to start Meso 2 but some of those workouts are over an hour so it makes it a little tough. I still might go back to STS though. Haven't decided.

Susan - Yard work is its own kind of workout. ;) I did have a training session with my client on Saturday and last night. It's going well. She even said she feels like it's helping already because she's been sleeping better at night. I have her do low impact version of the burpee and she doesn't hate me yet but I think she got close last night.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi ladies. I'm feeling a bit discouraged today. My chiropractor suggested I try working out to see how my back/hip does. I chose a gentle Jessica Smith walking workout on YouTube. It felt great at first, but twenty minutes in she started doing a backwards alternating tap, almost like a mini rear lunge, and I felt everything go out. Ugh. I'm in worse shape than I was last week. I changed my Thursday appointment to tomorrow morning. I hope she's ready for the barrage of questions I'll have for her.

Heartymax- There's not a ton of stuff out yet, but I got some delicious salad greens, asparagus, fresh eggs, and bison burgers.

Brenda- Ugh. Burpees. Of course, at this point, I'd be happy if I could do burpees again :p I'm trying to stay positive, but I've never had an injury like this, so it's kind of surprised me.

Susan- 140 squats! That sounds like a Tonique workout ;) I should give it a try when I'm recovered, my rear end could use it.

Have a great day, everyone.

I forgot to tell you guys I ordered Cathe Tabatacise over the weekend. So excited to get this! :D Thought I'd better tell you when I remembered!

Sam, I sure hope you can get some answers from the chiro! Prayers and hugs for you~
Susan

Sam---oh my Sam, hope it gets better.

Susan---You have awesome endurance so you will love Tabatacise.

I mixed things up a bit like Brenda today. I did the warm up, 5 sets up push ups (14,16,12,12,15) then Tabata one and then 30 minutes on the elliptical. Feeling good after this mix and match.

Hey again, Today was S90 Tabata followed by 150 squats. My hammys are not happy today! Going to be hard to sit at my desk..;)

Hearty, that sounds like a fun workout you got in!:D Personally I hate pushups! I have been doing them forever, and they never get easier!

Have a great day!
~Susan

Good Afternoon!

This morning I had Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's and I added on 200 jacks, 50 ski jumps, 50 lateral skates, 50 lateral jumps, 50 wide knee high runs and then did more stretching and the inversion board. Gotta get that bit of cardio in. ;)

Sam - Oh man... I'm so sorry that things aren't getting better. Hopefully the chiro will have some answers for you. I've had enough issues with that area and it can be extremely frustrating. Hang in there. Big hugs ((((hugs))))).

Heartymax - Way to go on mixing it up. I love doing that. It seems to make the workout go faster.

Susan - You will love Tabatacise. 150 squats!!! My butt and hammys hurt just thinking about it. :)

Hi Laurie!
Hi Karen!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

My workout today was Meso 2 Back and Biceps. I hate concentration curls for some reason and I usually sub another bicep exercise for it but I made myself do the concentration curls today:eek:. I wanted to do some of HC but I want to do my push ups tomorrow morning and all that plank work wears my shoulders down. I think that is why I struggled with my pushups yesterday. Anyway, it's doggone hard to concentrate on too many things at one time.

Good morning! I slept in today so after work will be doing Jillian's Shed & Shred followed by 155 squats. I do have to say my pants are fitting looser in the bum these days!;)

Hearty, my shoulders always get tired when doing too many planks and pushups.

Sam, hope you are doing better!

Have a good day and I will try to check back later!

Susan

Good Afternoon!

This morning I was in the mood for KPC but I had to skip the crunch part since I ran out of time. Bi's and Tri's were talking to me today from BS yesterday.

Heartymax - I love concentration curls but then again there isn't too much bicep work that I don't like. :D I'm with you on exhausting the shoulders with too many planks and push-ups.

Susan - I hard time getting myself moving this morning. Once I got downstairs and started in, I was okay. What kind of rep speed to you use when doing all your squats? Do you just use your body weight?

Make it a great day!

Hello ladies. No workout since my disastrous one the other day. I had an adjustment yesterday and this morning. Everything feels very touchy, but I'm having much less pain. Walking and standing are more comfortable than sitting, and I can bend forward again, so that's good.

My exercise habits have a definite influence on my diet. I've been eating terribly the last few days. So, I've got to nip that in the bud now before it gets out of hand.

I probably won't check in again till next week since I can't do much in the way of workouts. Tomorrow I'm taking DS down to the border to visit an old friend of mine who's going through a tough time right now. I've got another adjustment on Saturday, which is also Bryan's birthday, so we have a pretty busy weekend ahead of us.

Have a great weekend, everyone. Hopefully I'll be able to report some sort of workout, even if it's just a long walk, on Monday :)

Happy Friday! Today was the elliptical for 40mn followed by 160 squats.

Brenda, I do vary the pace on my squats.SOmetimes I go really slow, others I go as fast as I can... Because I am doing such hi reps I have been using light to moderate weight or no weight. I do them in sets of 4 so today was 4 sets of 40 reps. Standard foot postion, wide, narrow and plie.

Sam, glad you're having a little relief. Yes, how we exercise can influence how we eat! Enjoy your weekend and Happy Birthday to your hubby!

No big plans for my weekend. Hopefully I 'll get some stuff done around here!

Stay strong~ Susan

Happy Friday!!

This morning I did Cardio Leg Blast. I wasn't sure how it was going to go since my left leg has been a little unhappy the past few days. I did it without without running into pain (some knee discomfort but put the knee support on so that helped).

Got news from my sister today that she starts the clinical trials on Monday and she got one that has the least side affects out of the three treatments. That was good news.

Sam - Glad you are getting some relief. Hope the chiro continues to help get you back on track. Happy B-day to Bryan!!

Susan - Bet it's nice to see the pants fitting better in the back end... might have to give all those squats a try. ;)

Sun is shining so I think I'm going to eat my lunch outside. Need to get away from my desk and computer.

DH is leaving for Ladysmith at 3am tomorrow and hopefully all will go well that he'll be back by next Thurs or Friday. He's got a big work project that he needs to take care of over there. I have a fairly busy weekend planned so that's not a bad thing since he's gone.

Enjoy the weekend!
Brenda
