Bosu Workout

Anyone know of a good Bosu DVD? My PT office had a Bosu that was an extra and I had mentioned in conversation that I had wanted one, so I am now the lucky owner of the extra Bosu. I poked around College Video a bit, but most of them looked on the easier side. The Rob Glick one looked fun, but was only about 30 mins long. Any recommendations?

Thanks
Nan

I have Bosu Reactive Strength and Power. I've done it once so far and liked it. It is mostly weights/sculpting though and the one vid you mentioned is cardio so I'm not sure what type of vid you are looking for. Anyway, it's good work out. You can always make it tougher by going heavier on the weights and/or adding weights in places where the instructor doesn't use any. As far as cardio work outs go, I can't help you. I have done HSTA cardio on the bosu and some of Low Impact Step on it but I am not comfortable enough on it yet to purchase any cardio work outs for it.

I hope you find something you like and remember...Collage has a 30 day money back guarantee so even if you buy it, try it and don't like it, you can return it!!!! You'll lose your shipping costs but hey, most places don't allow you to return and open dvd AT ALL!!!! :)

HTH a bit.

I got my sister a Bosu for your birthday in August. The videos she has used are both by Mindy Mylrea. The first one is Explode and the second one is Awesome Strength. Both of them incorporate cardio and strength. I have done Awesome Strength before as this video has 3 people doing the same workout using different pieces of equipment. When my sister first used the Bosu for this one, she was really challenged. Mindy is having a sale on all her dvds. They are $12.95 with free shipping. The sale is on her website.

These are the one that I have:

Bosu Cardio Fusion - Rob Glick -60 minutes
Bosu Calorie Combustion - Rob Glick - 30 minutes
Bosu Core Synergy - Candice Copeland Brooks
Bosu Absolutely Abs - Gregg Cook
Bosu Long and Lean - Chalene Johnson

I was so excited to get my Bosu a while back. I just had to have these workout to go with it. Well what do you know, my Bosu is still in the box, and these workouts have never been used. This is what happens when you have way too many wokouts !!!! }( }( :)

College has all of these except the Gregg Cook one, I think. Also remember there are 2 Rob Glick ones, one is 30 minutes the other is an hour.

I forgot about these:

CIA 2604 Double Cardio, there are 2 full workoluts on this dvd one is for the Bosu done by Seasun Zieger its 69 minutes.

Tracey Staehle's new Parts Series uses the Bosu

Amy Bento's new Hi/Lo Dome Challenge has a 30 minutes Bosu workout.

BOSU Total Sport Conditioning with Mindy Mylrea is a really good one. It is 60-90 min long and it is mostly aerobic with toning thrown in. It's great and it's on sale at her website until the end of December.

They all sound fun. Looking for more cardio, but hey, if there's some toning tossed in, why not. I think I'll check out the Mindy Mylrea options and the longer Rob Glick one - I like him.
Thanks for the help!!

There's a CIA Bosu workout with Season Ziger (sp?) that's on the same DVD as a workout with Sharon Twombly (the DVD is called "Double Cardio" or something to that effect). It's a pure cardio workout--no weights.

I have had my BOSU for about a month and absolutely LOVE it! I am really seeing a difference in my core strength.

The BOSU Total Body Workout (which came with mine) is more of a tutorial and not something experienced Catheites would consider a true workout. So, if you don't have it and see it sold separately, don't buy it. You can just as easily learn exercises through youtube or elsewhere online (e.g. Karen Voight shows some exercises here: http://www.karenvoight.com/kvbosu.htm )

I have the CIA 2604 Double Cardio Kathryn mentioned. The Season Zieger workout is good (I've done it once), but it will take me a few tries to get the choreo down. (Mind you, though, I'm fairly new to step and am slightly choreo-challenged.) I also have Amy's hi/lo dome challenge and have done the dome only premix. Esp. like the ab work on this one.

You can also use the BOSU in place of the step - I've done it for HSC and for Basic Step, and man, were my quads burnin'! I also do some of Cathe's ab routines using the BOSU whenever possible, just to add more of a challenge.

Though there are a limited # of BOSU-specific workouts available, I don't really feel they are necessary. I think its greatest value is through doing core work and pushups using both sides in a variety of ways.
