Body for Life

I am curious if anyone has any experience with the 12 week Body for Life program from the book by Bill Phillips? I've searched the Cathe forums and have found some info, but the posts were from several years ago and I would love to hear from anyone who has done it more recently. My DH wants to do the program and I told him I'd ask Cathe's educated crowd for advice, tips, feedback.

The workouts seem straightforward and my DH is already at a high fitness level. The diet plan, on the other hand, would require quite a significant change for him, and I think that's where we need the most help. But anything anyone can share about BFL would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

I did the body for life program a number of years ago. I didn't follow the diet but I did the workouts. For me it was very effective. I do videos now so dont follow that pyramid affect so much. When at the gym it's my favourite way to train. Hope that helps.
 
I too did the program years ago and it was fantastic! This was before I discovered Cathe and started using videos to work out to. It is all based on pyramid type lifting.

I think it's great that your DH wants to do this with you. I would try it. I don't think you will be disappointed.
