Hi everyone,
Thought I’d do a quick check in. Gayle, I’m trying to think of my favorite ab workouts and one that comes to mind is Amy Bento’s Abs & Stretch. The first segment is mostly standing and hits the obliques really well, it’s one of my favorites. Another one that is super hard (but not the most fun, lol) is P90X Ab Ripper X. I really want the new P90X+ ab workout that uses the pull up bar (it’s on my wish list). I also previewed a Bosu workout with Seasun (a CIA DVD), and she had an awesome plank/ab segment. I don’t know if you have a Bosu or not, but it’s definitely on my list to try out next week.
Jennifer – I have a couple of small Creative Muvo’s MP3 players that I use for iTrains. I loaded one with all my favorites and save the other for “new” stuff that I might want to try (so I can choose according to whatever mood I get up in the morning). I think I paid about $50 for each of them (but have seen some much cheaper than that price).
Belinda – I love protein pancakes too! I put some blueberries in there last week and they were REALLY good. I tried banana this week and it bombed (batter got too runny).
Melissa – You’re doing great!
Michelle – Ugh, I was thin most of my life and TRIED to gain weight. Imagine that, lol….now I’m spending the other half trying to lose weight!
Susan – What Spinerval did you try? I think you asked me about how I got my iTband to stop hurting. I think it was really the standing stretch (leaning to one side – if you google standing iTband stretches, you’ll see it). I think the band also helped keep it from getting inflamed when I ran, so you may find it helps too. HTH.
Well, I’m going to get going home soon. My eyes are burning and blurry from looking at a computer monitor in the lab all day.
