Good morning!!!!! What's on your agenda today, ladies? How's everybody feeling? You all still with me???

Well, another awesome HIIT cardio session this morning. I aimed for numbers just a tad higher than I've been hitting, and I HIT THEM today! I worked it out on the treadmill, then finished off at a slower run for 1/2 mile just to settle my heart rate and breathing down. I then followed it up with abs and Stretch Max with the band! I'm really getting flexible, too! LOL

My day is quiet today. School/work, and that's it! Imagine that! lol I'm going to try to get some yard work done after work before the rain moves in (I got the whole yard cut yesterday, so today is cleaning out the garden and the flower beds).

I'm feeling good again today. I really want to keep the momentum going!

Good morning, Gayle!

We're still with you! I feel GREAT today. I tried on some clothes this morning that were too tight to wear a month ago, but fit well this morning. That gave me the boost that I needed. I got in a great HIIT cardio last night, and performed better than I expected. Tonight is UB for me, and I plan on hitting it hard. I notice some triceps yesterday that I haven't seen in a while :) ! I dare say I'm finally starting to see some results.

Looks like it should be a quiet day at work for me today. My crunch time was last week, so I'm able to cruise a little this week. I'll check back later.

Jennifer

Hi, Jennifer! LOVE seeing those tricpes! LOL I find myself walking into my bathroom more often, where there's a very long and tall mirror. Flexing. lol LOVE the results! Love the looser pants! Keep at it! IT'S WORKING!!!!!!

x( My boss just offered us a great opportunity to get flu shots on company time. So I hitched a ride with my boss to the CVS offering the clinic, and the freakin' pharmacist never showed up! x( We waited over a half hour, only to leave without a shot. We did get a $25.00 gift card for our inconvenience though. :) I'll just have to find another clinic in the near future.

I've never had a flu shot before, but I'm so worried about getting sick during these 12 weeks and being out of commission that I figured I'd take advantage. Now that I'm finally starting to see results, I don't want anything messing it up! :+

Jennifer

-That is a real good deal on the flu shot. We have not gone to get ours yet.

Well, I'm still here with you all.Today is Imax2, abs and 45 minutes of stretch for health. My masseuse recommends it and I like it. I can really see the difference in my flexibility.

I have so much to do today. We have only touched the surface with homework at this point and we have so much to do. So, I will see you all later and have a great day if I don't get back to you .

Veronika

Jennifer-this is the very first yeat that I've gotten the flu shot. Our school offers it free to employees, and I figure with working with 600+ students each and every day, I may as well give it a go! We'll see. Fortunately, and KNOCK ON WOOD, my boys and I don't USUALLY get the flu. This better not be the year! LOL

Veronika-hand in there.

Hi Everyone,

Just checking in with you all...have to run out to get my son then off to the store to get passport photos. My husbandis thinking of going to see his family in the Cayman Islands around December. We'll see...have to get through all the paperwork first.

Have been pretty tied up this morning. Waiting for daughter..what else is new. She missed her every option this morning for the train. Now she has my car in Boston! I hope she drives carefully. They are crazy drivers in the city.

Did my workout around 9:30am. then off to work.
S&H legs and shoulders.
Later is cardio.

Have 2 funerals to attend. One is my daughters friends mom who died of breast cancer. The other is a young girl of 23 which died in an auto accident in Western MA. She is the sister to my daughters friend from High School. We have known the family since the kids were young. This is really a tragedy! So very young! As my daughter drives through Boston it makes me shiver at how awful this must be for the parents right now. You just never know what is going to happen and you can't take life for granted or each other. Enjoy every minute with your loved ones as best you can.

Gayle,Jennifer and Veronika: Great job today getting in your workouts. I too see a big difference in the way my abs and arms look. I am down also in weight by at least 5 lbs. Tried to go back to see where I started this session with my check-in but couldn't find it. So...now 138 and feeling great!

Yeah to all of us and this is only week 4! Can't wait to see the results after the full 12. Everyone...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!}(

Take Care,

Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear about the funerals you have to attend. It sounds like those are both going to be tough ones...not that any are easy, but when they're for young people they're especially difficult.

GREAT JOB on the weight loss, though!! Woo hoo! You go, girl.

Well, I'll need all the girls vibes again next Wednesday it seems. Check out a portion of the email I received from my boss today:

"Continuing our tradition of pigging out on Halloween, we will have our usual junk food marathon on Wed the 31st.

If you would like to bring something in for that day, please "RSVP" to ______ and let her know what you would like to bring. Any and all sorts of chips, dips, purchased and home baked goods will be greatly appreciated."

Oy.

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you, it is going to be tough! Especially for my DD too. She will be seeing a lot of people from High School that she hasn't seen since starting college. It is awfull that they have to get together for something like this. Usually it is the High School Reunions that bring former classmates together.

Oh No about that Halloween Pig out party! I have a great idea! Seeing as they are requesting people to bring in food..Baked goods etc. what about something not so naughty? Eat-Clean pumpkin muffins maybe? Page 25 in the cookbook from Tosca Reno or some dips and spreads from the Eating Clean 100 Appetizing Solutions cookbook? This ought to be a great Halloween Trick or Treat!

Let me know if there is a recipe you would like me to send you.
Good Luck and you can beat this one!
;-)

Heidi, I am so sorry about the recent deaths. I can't imagine going through that.Thank you for the encouraging words of loving on the ones we love right now. I needed that reminder today especially after home schooling my children. It gets hard to stay patient when it gets to hour seven of doing school. I'm going to go in their rooms and give them big hugs after this.By the way, excellent job on losing the weight.

Jennifer, A Pig out party sounds so bad right now. My children are now bringing so much junk home and it is so hard to not want to eat the chocolate. I just can't be around that stuff all week long.

OK, we will see you all tomorrow.

Veronika

Veronika, hang in there. I can only imagine how tough it must be to find patience when you're homeschooling. I know I could never do it! I have to give you lots of credit. One day your kids will understand the sacrifices you made for them. In the meantime, hide the chocolate!

Heidi, I will probably do something like you suggested. I'm definitely going to try out the eat-clean pumpkin muffin recipe. And I'll pack plenty of BFL foods for the day so even though I'll be tempted, I won't be hungry and cave in. Why can't Halloween be on a Sunday this year?? (On second thought, it's probably a good thing it's not!)

Have a good night everyone.

Jennifer
