BFL Thursday 12/27...Counting down

HPLECTRA

Cathlete
Hello and Good Morning,

Who else is counting down the last days of this year? I can't believe it is almost over.

Do you have any plans for New Year's Eve?

It is my DH's and mine anniversary so we usually have a lobster dinner at home with the kids. Then we spend the rest of the night watching Twilight Zone shows.

Sherry: I forwarded the Protein Pancakes recipe from Gayle's cookbook to you. I hope you enjoy them! These were really good yesterday.

Michelle: I think a few of us are going to use the 4DS in this next challenge. Gayle and I are going for round two starting in January. I will be traveling the first week and a half but hope to hit the gym were I am staying. (HOPE THAT IS) Otherwise I will be lifting cans and running the beach.

Today's goal:

Get in another workout...to be determined.
go to work
DS's haircut
Housework...the never ending! With everyone home this is a real challenge.

I would love to join your bfl challange checkin also. I got the 4DS for Christmas, so I will be starting out using them. I have already done 2 of the workouts this week..just to get an idea of what Im in for. So far I like them..they are pretty easy so I will have to up the weight next time. Do you guys eat clean 100% for 6 days and then use a day to "cheat"?
My plan is M-lower body,T-ub/cardio,W-cardio,Th-lb,F-ub/cardio,S-cardio, Sun-off. I know this is more cardio than reccommened by bfl...I just don't feel complete without a little cardio with each workout.
Gayle..your hard work really paid off!

Happy Thursday!

Heidi: Thanks for the recipe. DH is looking at it with some skepticism but is willing to give it a try - not his normal recipe (and he really does make some good pancakes!) Congratulations on your anniversary. Ours was last week (the 19th) - we're trying to get a sitter to go out in the next few days to finally celebrate with just the two of us.

Kathy G and Susan: Welcome. I'm new here, too.

Gayle: Hope your house is a little easier to get around. Trash came today - at least we can now get through the garage. I think your rest is very well deserved. I hope I can have the discipline to get results like yours - your abs and legs really show your dedication.

Michelle: I'm going to try using my current (very loud according to DH) Oster blender and hope it holds up for the pancakes. I think is does very well for frozen fruit smoothies. Raspberry smoothies with protein powder are my mainstay in my morning routine.

Today is day 25/84. My first goal is to drop below 150 (from 154), which is where I've plateaued for the past couple of years. I'm there today! I'll need to see it for a few days to really believe it. I really think the emphasis on weights is doing it.

Today was cardio - went for a 3 mile run. On tap for the rest of the day is heading out to make a few returns and spend some gift cards that are burning holes in the kids' pockets.
