Gayle – I hope your son had a great b’day yesterday! I also wanted to suggest either the NJ Marathon or Long Branch Half Marathon for next year. They’re the same race (just different lengths) and the course is flat and fast….lots of people PR there. It’s the first Sunday in May and it’s held in Long Branch, NJ which is North Jersey…near the shore line. I think it would make a nice little trip and I’d be happy to meet you there and cheer you on or run with ya.

Well, I ran 2.5 miles on Tuesday and 3 miles today. Yesterday I did LIC and I think I slightly pulled something. In the last weight segment she has you start off holding one dumbbell and standing on one bent leg, pumping up and down. The calf in my left leg went into rigamortis and my glute seized, lol. I’m still limping around today a little bit. I don’t know when I’ll learn to take it easy after a marathon. Just because I feel okay doesn’t mean my body is recovered. I need to learn to pull back and relax a little and realize my body is NOT as young as my mind thinks it is!
