B&G Equipment Question

Cathlete
I want to follow Cathe's rotation for the new DVD's but I don't have ankle weights:eek: . I used to have some years ago that were made of nylon but they were very bulky and didn't conform well to the shape of my leg. Can someone recommend another brand, or does anyone know which brand Cathe and crew uses?

TIA:)

Hi Michele...I got some Reebok adjustable ankle weights from either Target or Shopko. They go from 1 to 5 lbs each and seem to fit well. I would say to check local for some before going online. I don't know what brand Cathe uses...I'll see you in the Nov rotation check-in...:)

Hi Carol!!

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll run over to Target tomorrow and see what they have. I've been perusing the internet and came across some flex metal adjustable weights that look really nice but I've never seen them in a store. I hope Target has them--I'd love to save on the shipping costs!

So I guess I'll see you in the check-in:eek: :)

I'm afraid--very afraid:7

I also bought mine from Target. I think they were $10. In B&G, Cathe alson mentions holding a weight on your thigh for resistance. This wouldn't work for all the execises but might work if you can't get them right aaway.

Hi Michele! Walmart carries ankle weights also and are not very expensive. They have the adjustable kind so YOU choose what weight you want to use. Good Luck!

I have Ironwear adjustable ankle weights (got them at Target years ago, but I think Reebok also sells them).

What I like about them:
they contain flex metal--a dense rubber---instead of sand or metal, so they won't leak or rust; I can hook them together to make a weight belt, and they also will fit on the thigh above the knee (without being hooked together...my thighs aren't THAT big!); the weights are also used in the Reebok weighted vest I have, so when I bought the vest, I didn't have to buy extra weights; they are comfortable.
