Good morning ladies..

Getting started on my day here...Today will be Plyo legs for me...And my arm is killing me where I got a tetnus shot yesterday. Ouch! I would rather have DOMS!!!

My chest and back are still sensitive too..

Be back later..

Hey Kathy!
Hey everyone!

God, it feels like I got beat up last night! My arms are STILL DOMS'ing from Monday and now my lower body has FRESH DOMS! Holy COW, PLYO LEGS really got it good. That's the most DOMS I've had from the workouts in the last , who know's how long! It's the "moan and grimace every time you sit to pee" DOMS.

Today is STS MESO 3, WEEK 1: Chest and Back. So that will be fun to add THOSE parts in for DOMS too!!!

Kathy: Cant' believe you're back to Plyo Legs today, which one will you do? Oh I KNOW! Those tetanus shots KILL!!! I think I opted to get it in my butt last time!

BBL!

Hey Chris: I had DOMS in the glutes after the last plyo legs...Yes, I felt those aches when I squatted in the bathroom...I am going to go ahead and do week 2 plyo legs. Enjoy that chest and back workout!!

Hey! Chris, I hope you are careful with the chest work today. My shoulder is still sore -- I'm sort of afraid to do the SBT workout. Last night I held "our" baby Alex (our friend's son) and I really wondered why I work out afterward because I was so sore -- my shoulder, my hip, my back -- just from holding that little cutie. Kathy, those tetnus shots do hurt!!!

Plyo legs twice this week -- crazy! Yes, Chris, yesterday I did LIC in place of power max -- I don't think I have that one unless it's on one of those older compilations. And today I ended up doing Tracy's original Squeeze. I couldn't face plyo again so soon, I guess, and I didn't want to do the upper body. I forgot what the other workout is supposed to be this week! Maybe it was a run or something. Oh well -- it was a good workout I had. I really am liking that kind of work for the lower body (I skipped all the upper body stuff). This is one where she uses a playground ball and at one point she says something like "this is an inner thigh and ball squeeze" and I just had to laugh. She probably doesn't have a big male following. :p

I think I'll go look at the rotation and see how I screwed up! :) I think I may do plyo legs tomorrow and the other upper body Friday.

Have a great day, chiquitas!

Finished!

I did go a bit lighter on the chest, esp. the flies. I really didn't want to strain my already sore shoulders. It worked! I wasn't struggling with the last rep like I should have, but i still felt like I worked it. Gosh, those 4 cycles seem like forever! I'm always "done" after 3!

Kathy: I liked Week 2 of Plyo Legs. If I have it in me, I will do Week 3 on Friday. I'd hate for my butt to hurt so bad for work, but what can I do?

Beth: How big is your "baby" Alex? I do remember my back getting so sore carrying around my babies on my hip! ... Squeeze sounds tough the way you guys talk about it. LOL @ the inner thigh and ball squeeze! And you all wonder why Greg doesn't want to do "ball" work!!! Speaking of, the P90X videos are STILL untouched. I actually think he has to get into a routine with his new schedule. last week he did a LOT of extra sleeping. Napped from when he got home (6am) until he took the boys to camp (9am) and then came home and slept until 5pm! This week, he ended upfalling asleep on the couch when he gets home (6am) and then going right up to bed when everyone comes down stairs. He did get up a LITTLE earlier yesterday, but , geesh, there is something as "too MUCH sleep" too! (Maybe I'm jealous).

I hope I get Physique57 this week. I'm thinking maybe I want to do 2 weeks of that with cardio/running for 2 weeks before we start STS again. If not, I'll do 4DS ....

So yes, Alex is sick. His temp went up to 103.1 this morning, and he was so pathetic. He ASKED to take a bath at 6am. Strange boy. Anyways, I got tylenol in him, his fever came down, and he's hell on wheels with his brothers!! He's making me CRAZY!!! And of course, i'm all paranoid of anyone else getting sick too, for the FIRST week of school next week. SInce Zach missed the entire LAST week of school last year. Ugh!

Hi ladies!! Today was my 2nd day of Insanity with Cardio Power and Resistance. It was pretty similar to the first workout. I can't wait for it to be over, because it's HARD, but I feel great afterwards. Tomorrow is Cardio Recovery, which I think is yoga-ish, stretching stuff. It's only 1/2 hour, so hopefully I can get P57 in too.

Chris, oh, poor Alex! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that everyone is healthy next week. Yikes!! Sounds like you are in alot of pain, But a good pain, right? ;) What's your DH's secret to sleeping?? I need a stretch of sleep like that!

Kathy, wow, two Plyo Legs in one week? No wonder you and Chris are a-hurtin'!

Beth, PowerMax is on one of the older compilations - maybe Cardio Hits? Not sure, but I do have it! It's in a little CD case if I remember right. It has a special place in my heart ;) 'cause it's one of the first Cathe's I mastered. Aren't babies the sweetest??

Colin had his football scrimmage last night. He did pretty well - had a couple carries and almost broke loose once. He also played defense, but you can tell he just doesn't have that killer instinct to tackle the other players. He's just not rough enough, which is fine with me!! At the end of the game the coach tells us there is a Jamboree Saturday morning. Which is basically an all day thing where you play scrimmages against a bunch of other teams. A bit more notice would have been nice, but they probably just decided to play in it.

Caitlyn cried again yesterday morning going into school - DH took her. Don't know how she did today. The nurse called DH yesterday and said Caitlyn threw up during recess, but she seemed fine so he didn't need to come pick her up. Not sure what was up with that. It was pretty warm out and she was running around, so maybe she got a bit overheated. I would think any time a kid throws up you would send him home. DH said about an hour later he got a call from the hospital and just about freaked out!! Turns out is was just a survey about something or other, but getting a call from the hospital an hour after the school calls and says your kid is sick was a bit frightening!

My dad is having some additional health issues. He has kidney stones. They were supposed to "blast" them today, but the doctor said any kind of anesthesia is too risky with his weak heart. The dr. cancelled the procedure after talking with his cardiologist and is going to reschedule at a facility better equipped to deal with it - whatever that means. My mom is waiting for a call to find out what they want to do. Poor guy - it's always something.

Hottie, how are you feeling today?

Hi Vilma!

BBL...

Joanne

Chris, of course you are jealous of that sleep! You should be! ;) Seriously, it's got to be hard on both of you to have those schedules! Did you get a shipping notice for P57? Actually, I'm not sure I ever even got a notice -- just wondered because I had heard they were back ordered. Hope you get them soon -- I think I do want to do one week of 4DS (but will sub in barre work for legs), but a week of P57 would be fun together, wouldn't it?

I so know what you mean about sometimes it's easier when they are sick! But, here's hoping to that fever being gone for good. It'd be a bummer to miss the start of school.

Baby Alex is 9 months old, but on the smallish side, so it's not as though he's some big bruiser kid. I was really dismayed at how it made me feel! (because you would think someone who works out as much as I do would not have trouble with that!) He's at a very cute age and Larry held him for a while and started to say "When...." and I thought he was going to say "when are we going to have another?" but he said "when are these kids going to grow up and start giving us grandkids?" I about choked! :D

Joanne, sorry to hear about your dad! I hope there's something they can do for him, because that's got to be pretty painful/miserable, right?

It looks like people are having pretty good results with Insanity! Do you feel like it's hard on your joints? I read one posting where someone said you're not meant to do it long term because of the stress to the joints.

That call from the hospital must have been so scary at first! I think that's crazy that the school didn't send her home!! Do your schools have mandatory flu shots this year? They are here, I guess. We are also going nut-free, which probably makes sense, but it's going to make lunch packing a little challenging.

I was at school this morning helping with packets and one mom has two sons playing football this year and she was talking about how bruised they are! She said the one has purple marks -- even finger marks -- up and down both arms and she thinks child protective services may be calling her. Sounds crazy! One is a freshman and she said the coach is doing some football for moms class this evening -- I guess to tell the moms what to expect. I would need a remedial version, I'm sure!

Hottie, sorry you are still not feeling well! Not sleeping still?

Ok, time for me to get some stuff done!
