audio books

Try audible.com. The last audio book I listened to was Grammar Girl. It's pretty good if you like that kind of thing. I also got old Says You shows. It's a show on NPR involving wordplay. You don't have to subscribe to buy individual audio books. (click on browse audible.)

Or you can download podcasts for free on itunes (click podcasts on the left hand side of the itunes store). Some of them are better than others, but we like Grammar Girl's. There are also some from Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and NPR.

ETA: Oh, and itunes also has an audiobooks category.

Hope that helps!

The Horse Whisperer
Harry Potter

You can get them at your local Library, if you don't want to buy them.

Hi Phyllis!

You can download books through iTunes and amazon. (I would love to get that new Kindle gadget on amazon!)

I've really enjoyed Jodi Piccoult's work and have read a few titles while traveling. Hard to put down, which makes those long plane and train rides pass more quickly.

Betty Smith's A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is the last audiobook I've listened to. Kate Burton does an excellent job with her performance.
