:D the arnold classic is this weekend in OHIO. March 6, 7 & 8th. I'm going this year. Anyone in OHIO going to this?

Sheryl - just about everyone from my gym is going - esp to the pump and run. My trainer is going, with high hopes of meeting Tosca Reno. I'd love to go, but way too many other things going on here! Do you live in Columbus? Have a great time!

My kettlebell trainer is going. He might be judging the kb competition and demonstrating, I think. His name is Bob Budai and he's from Michigan-check him out, he's really good. I'd love to go and watch, but it's not in the budget:(

My husband and I wanted to go this year, but that vacation time was already taken by someone else I work with.

We are planning on flying to Las Vegas the end of September for the Mr. Olympia. I don't think we're going to the actual show, but we love the fitness Expo!

lorrie, I've lived in columbus all my life. I was thinking about making a change. But never gotten around to it. However, I can't wait for this years classic. I missed out last year due to a broken ankle. Not this year!!

I've scheduled my vacation around it - and it's supposed to warm up. I'm planning on hitting the figure competitions but I haven't bought tickets yet.

Dig this: I've been trolling body building websites and, all this time, I kept hearing about a place called Westside Barbell, spoken about in reverential tones. I just found out 2 nights ago that Westside Barbell is located 2 miles from my house! And Elite Fitness, also quite famous among power lifters, is in Ohio (London? Logan? I forget). I never dreamed my notoriously fat state was such a weight lifting mecca...

Stacey - That's way cool. I know that Louie Simmons of Westwide Barbell is pretty well respected in the strength community.

I'd love to see the weightlifting and powerlifting competitions at this event.
