The Firm Standing Legs and Upper Body were my "first time" of fitness videos. I abosulutely love them. Over the years I have added to my collection Firm Strength, Cardio, TT2.

I did TT2 the other day and fell in love all over again! (Now I can't move)}(

Sooooo.....I started browsing at Collage and watching the clips. They all kinda look the same..like once you have one goodie you pretty much have them all. Is this your experience? I wonder if buying anymore is really worth it. ???

Any one's you just can't live without? Anyone have them ALL??

I know there are a lot of ex-Firmies out there, so please, your comments.....:p

Hi there

I had every Firm series out there and the original classic series and the two series I mention later, IMO, were the best. I sold all my others on ebay after doing Cathe. I did like the Tortoise and the Hare series and Strong Heart/Strong Body which came out just after the classics (I think I kept these, but they are buried now). Know that #4 of the Classic Series is a shortened, time saver workout. Tall Box leg presses weren't introduced until, I think, maybe #2 or #3? #5 they used to call the Baby Boomers version. I don't know what Cathe workouts you have, but I think if you have only a few of these you'd be fine as they are very similar. I've seen the best results in my life since I switched to pretty much just Cathe for cardio and strength. I had done the firm for @ 10 years, too...

So at one point, I had them all and the ones I do have, I haven't used in @ 6 - 9 months since doing Cathe.

Standing Legs and Upper Body take clips from the Classic series and the cross trainers. These were good workouts, but I sold these as well since having Cathe strength videos.

Sorry, this probably wasn't too much help.

Good luck!

I have almost all of them. IMHO, Firm Strength is the very best one you can have. My top three choices would be (1) Firm Strength, (2) Vol. 3 with Sandahl Bergman, and (3) Vol. 6, Boomers. Out of all the Firm tapes I have, I always tended to go back to these three when I was using the Firm almost exclusively. I do not care much for most of the newer ones. That's how I ended up here.

I got the following Firm oldies on VHS: Classic Volumes 3-6, Firm Parts: Tough Aerobic Mix, Standing Legs, Tough Tape, and 5 day abs, Maximum Cardio, Maximum Body Shaping, Tortoise and Hare, Upper Body Split, Lower Body Split, and Fat Blaster (those are the ones I saw in my desk I'm sure I have some more but I can't remember where they are). To be honest, I did some of them when I had surgery a couple of years ago and I couldn't exercise for about 6-8 weeks. I started slow with no weights and I used the Firm, then I started Cathe again, and I haven't used all those Firms since. I think these workouts are repetitive and once you have a couple you pretty much have all of them (they only change the instructors and the sequences).

ETA: I'm pretty sure I also have Cardio and Strength somewhere.

I have most of the oldies and the newer BSS1 and BSS2 (which aren't as challenging). If you'd like to acquire more, I'd go with the Classics; Vol 1-6, Tough Tape 1 and 2, Super Cardio, Super Strength, and Firm Cardio, Firm Strength. The rest aren't as tough and besides, there are a lot of compliations out there that just repeat the above workouts.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll just stick with the ones I have now. It will be all I can do just to do them!;-)
