Anyone own a LandRider bike?

I've seen the infomercial for this several times and the bike "looks" like it might be pretty neat. I'm not a biker and don't know anything about bikes. Has anyone purchased this and if so, what do you think of it? Thanks.

I've also been tempted by the commercials. I never got the hang of shifting (and several gear combos are redundant anyway, aren't they), and this looks like a good way to avoid that.

Sorry I can't give an actual informed opinion, because I've never tried them, LOL! Maybe there is a bike shop near you that carries them?

Kathryn, I'm with you on the shifting thing. I need things with the least amount of complications as possible. If I'm riding, (which I haven't done in ages but would like to) figuring out how to shift, and then finding the right gear and shifting again, is too much effort for me. :7 I just want to get on and ride, baby, ride. I need a bike that thinks for itself! :p

I've never ridden one, but I've heard from those who have that it's actually pretty decent. You won't win races with it, but it works well.

Thanks Christine! I'm not worried about winning races. Heck, I'll be lucky if I have enough gusto to ride around the block.:+
