Anyone Living In England?

I buy Whittard of Chelsea tea from their import store in the U.S. But their website shows they are virtually out of stock on everything. A second tea site I use is saying they are 'inventory challenged' right now with Whittard teas. They aren't going out of business are they?

I am trying to order from the U.K. website but geez, it is really slow so it's taking forever to get my order completed. This is not typical of them. I will be so upset if they are closing.

Hi, sorry I don't live in England or use Whittard tea. I am a tea fanatic, though, so I was curious as to why you get Whittard? I order my tea from Uptontea.com, which is in Boston; have ordered from them for years and love their teas. Am I missing out on something wonderful?! :)

Hi Bun. You know it is one of those things where you find something you really like and nothing else measures up. I like Whittard because the teas always taste true. I know alot of people swear by Harney & Sons but their blends just don't do it for me. I don't like tea to taste 'dusty' if that makes any sense and that's what I usually pick up in teas but not in the Whittard teas. Hence the reason for my panic today trying to figure out if there is a problem with the company or maybe just not enough interest in the U.S. The Whittard import store is only a few years old. I've always had to order via the U.K. site until they came over here.

At least my order went through this morning so we'll see how long it takes to get here.

If you're interested here is a link to the U.K. site..http://www.whittard.co.uk/

I checked out your tea site, Bun. I think I'll order a couple bags and give it try. You never know.;)

Ooh..interesting. Do you order right from their web site? (I assume they convert pounds to dollars?) How long does it take to get the tea? Upton is the only place I've ever ordered tea from--have been getting their tea for 10 years now. I'm very boring, though--I like the basic types (Earl Grey, English Breakfast and that sort of thing).

Anyhow, if it's easy to order from them, I might try Whittard's for a change. Which teas do you like?

We have very similar tastes! I too like Earl Grey and the bolder Breakfast teas. Whittard carries an herbal called Apple Crumble that I like alot and also love the Sticky Toffee Pudding tea. That one actually was the first Whittard tea I tasted and it reminded me so much of the actually dessert it is named for that I bought other teas from them as well and its been love ever since. :)

I like to have Earl Grey in the morning and then one of the herbals in the afternoon and evenings. I'm an addict.

I love Earl Grey in the morning, too. :) I can't drink herbal tea--it makes me break out in a rash all over my body--so I drink decaff tea at night. Sticky Toffee PUdding tea--I think that might send me running to get a gooey dessert! I'm getting hungry just typing that name.
