Anyone have the Pilot II for Lemond Revmaster Pro?

If you have the Pilot II for Lemond Revmaster Pro, I have a question for you.

Is there a way to SAVE the target HR info? As far as I can tell, I have to input all target HR info each and every time I use the Pilot II. (age, gender, height, weight, upper zone, lower zone). This is getting annoying since I am the only one who uses it.

Thanks!

Yes, I have the Pilot. I set up the target HR info awhile ago, and assumed that the data was saved. Is it prompting you for the information each time? I just press Start and go. Now I'm curious.... I will check the settings when I get home and get back to you.

According to the manual, you have two options to use your custom HR:

1) set it up using your personal data (Max HR, Min HR, age, wt, etc)

OR

2) bypass entering you personal data and start using the Pilot by using quick start. You do this by pressing the "START" key and the timer will start automatically. The manual says by using the quick start method, the Pilot will calculate calories burned based on the following default perimeters: 30yr old, 175lbs with AHR of 70bpm.

The way I read that is that we have to enter our data each and every time if we want accurate readouts. I will check mine again to see if I use QUICK START if it blinks that I am above or below my previously entered target HR.

Let me know what you find out.

Okay, for those of you with the remaster, have you used other spin bikes, and,if so, how does it compare?

Congrats Gobias....you definitely read manuals better than me :)

You're right, it doesn't seem to store the data. I pushed the HR button and all the factory defaults displayed. I didn't go any further than that.

If you come across any additional info, please let me know. I will do the same.

Trixoo, I love this bike; it is very smooth and quiet with plenty of options for adjusting the seat, etc. It's my first, so I can't make any comparisons.

Laketime/Michelle - Darn, I was hoping I was reading it wrong! This really dissapoints me. I will try to do a little research to see if there is a way to save our input. I'll let you know.

Trixoo - I have never done spinning before. I just purchased it because Cathe was coming out with her video. I did a lot of shopping around and can tell you that Laketime is right on - this is a smooth and quiet bike with lots of adjustments that are fairly easy. I tried out many other bikes and this one blew the others away. Others seemed louder and wobbly-er (is that a word?). Also, as you increase and decrease the tension on the Revmaster Pro, it is smooth, whereas others seemed choppy when adjusting the tension knob. This one seemed much sturdier than others also.

I narrowed it down to the Revmaster Pro and Revmaster Sport. I chose the Pro because the handlebars had more girth to them (made my hands more comfortable) and the handlebars were shaped different - a bit more comfortable for me. Also, the PRO had easier and more adjustments for seat and handles (a plus if more than one of you are going to be using the bike). It also has the optional Pilot II (bike computer that is wireless).

I also sat on one at the gym (can't remember brand) and it wasn't as nice as the Revmaster Pro. It is much pricier than other bikes, but if you can swing it, I say get it! I even got mine for (a bit) less money with no tax or shipping after some research.

Good Luck!
